    I have these on a 2020 Subaru Forester Sport. We have 57,000 miles on them, still look and drive like new.

    I have CC2’s fitted to two of my cars and I have to say I don’t think there’s a better tyre out there. Total confidence in all weathers and situations.
    Highly recommended.

    I'm having a set fitted this coming Thursday (16th Nov. 2023) having done quite a bit of research. Look like the best all rounder for road use in varying weather and surface conditions out there and much cheaper than running 2 sets of rims and tyres.

    2018 MKZh , In 60 years driving these are the best all weather tires , good for up to 4 inches snow , any more than that I wait for snow plows then drive , and very good in wet/dry , no loss of mpg ( 42 ) , same handling as the tires that came with car ( Mich. MXM4 ) , have driven two years around now in Northeast winters with confidence in all conditions .

    Nice! I just got some of these today. I live in the Pacific Northwest, where our winters are generally 40 degrees and rainy, sometimes going below freezing, and rarely snowing (like 1-2 weeks a year). I was going to get snow tires but I realized they'd suck except for 2 weeks out of the year. I hope these do well!

    as someone that used a lot of vans and pickups i would keep snows on all year because they were good for going of the beaten path so to speak but these look really good and i will definetely look into them as i like the tread pattern

    Nice, to the point review! I would have liked to hear what you are comparing to? If you were driving summer tyres all year round before, this is of course a huge step-up in cold and wet conditions or in snow. But compared to switching twice a year, as most people do here in Denmark, I wouldn't expect them compare all that well.

    They are an awesome tire on my AWD crossover. Very happy with the quietness and smoothness. Handling is great as well. Haven’t had any snow yet but they are great on wet and dry roads.

    I have them on my 2006 Accord and after 2 years and 18,000 miles they're still great in the snow. Recently we've had 5 inches of snow and the car drove by and I passed three pick up trucks struggling to grip.

    • @alouisschafer7212

      Pick ups are useless. Too heavy for bad roads or snow/ice and when they are 2WD open diff its laughable how much they struggle everywhere.

  • @jshelhorse

    Quietness is not considered this tire's strong suit. I run them on a 2021 BMW X3 M40i and a 2011 Ford Escape Lmtd. They are grippy, and have unparalleled wet road performance, and excellent general performance in all seasons and all comditions. Their grip creates additional rolling resistance, and they'll reduce gas mileage, and, as well and subsequently, are not quiet relative to most competitors.

    I come from the motorcycle world.
    Some « riders » talk vanitous crap all the time, and always try to buy the cheap tire option, and bla bla bla-bla-bla.
    But at the end of the day, Michelin always settle it.
    They are the best tires for motorcycles.
    So, that kind of video doesn’t surprise me.
    Michelin never sleep on their past, their always innovative.
    Thanks to them.

    Installed a set on 2017 Murano. Wonderful. Installed a set on 2012 genesis sedan (rear wheel drive, 333 hp), the replaced the 11 year old winter tires - which in southern Ohio I’m really better off with a good in wet/cold/maybe snow so these really fit the bill. I have summer tires for this car. But all season into winter these are great.

    Installed them on my Nissan Rogue FWD 2019 special addition, works good on dry and wet but to be honest very bad for snow, today we had couple of inches snow in Toronto and I really struggled to go on a driveway which has a smaller slope, I had a CRV 2019 AWD before and I used dedicated snow tires general altimax and never had any issue while driving in snow. I wish I could replace them.

    I run these 12 months a year in Northern Ontario...after decades of running snow tires in the winter, I wouldn't trade these for ANY snow tire...these tires are shockingly good. I just had my third set installed (three different vehicles...Avalon, Maxima, Rav4) on our new Rav4, I gave away the OE all-season that came with the car...garbage by comparison.

      Got them on my SUV, best tires I’ve ever owned. I’m blown away at how quick they can stop on ice and snow. I’ve been looking for a tire like these since I started driving at 16. Four decades have passed and Michelin has designed a top end tire I wish they had developed a long time ago.

    For when you go for your next set...
    I noticed your tires were speed rated V. You may consider backing to maybe a rating of H. Your Toyota is speed limited below that rating, so you'll still be safe, but you'll probably notice a better (softer) ride quality. I use the H rated on my Camry and fhey ride like grand touring tires should ride.

    • @kagenquinn
      @kagenquinn 6 місяців тому

      Do you ever end up going to the rated speed? I was thinking about getting these tires now I’m curious what rating I should get. I’d never be going over 100 mph my car is a 4 cylinder from 2000. I was thinking Q but I might go S to be safe.

    • @crittercherry3800
      @crittercherry3800 4 місяці тому

      @@kagenquinn I don't know if cross climate 2s are made for such a low speed rating. I never drive anywhere near the maximum speed rating of my tires. Actually, if I stick my cruise at 65, I get 42 miles per gallon.

    I just bought a set, a couple of hours ago. I was afraid that they were going to be noisy, so I took it on the highway. No noise whatsoever (at least I could not hear the tires above the wind noise on the car itself).

    I had a set or the original CrossClimate+ when they first came out on my 2015 Honda CR V LX 215/70/16, well I got a nail in the sidewall which could not be fixed, OK I thought will get the CC2s to replace the one tire, nope, Michelin now does not make the CC2 in my size anymore. how do you stop making a tire that there are a lot of cars that take that size, I am so disappointed with Michelin

    We have the Cross Climate 2 tires on both our Outback and Forester.
    We get 5-7 feet of snow every winter.
    Their Awesome on dry, wet, slushy and snow covered roads, as well as forest and logging roads for year round use.
    Their quiet and they don’t cut down on our fuel consumption.
    When they wear out, we’ll replace them with another set.

    • @Wrang15
      @Wrang15 7 місяців тому +3

      On my 21 Subaru outback xt they go straight. I run one psi over the factory door sticker. Only issue is rotation. They can only go front to back unless you unmount them. They are directional tires.

    • @jshelhorse
      @jshelhorse 6 місяців тому +2

      Yes. No and no. Cross Climate 2's are technologically cutting edge, all season performance tires. They are super-grippy in all conditions, particularly wet. Their wet performance, and subsequently wet conditions safety, is unparalleled. However, those attributes result in increased noise and greater rolling resistance (lower mpg). Nonetheless, I believe the trade-off is worth it. Gotta' keep the family safe. Job #1.

  • @RichardWagenknecht
    @RichardWagenknecht 6 місяців тому +2

    Isn’t rotation an issue since they’re directional?

    • @jshelhorse
      @jshelhorse 6 місяців тому +2

      No. But, obviously you're limited to just switching front & back on each side, at each "rotation." Now, you could be super-anal if money is no object and have the tires re-mounted in order to achieve a true "rotation." Not necessary. Most important to getting longevity and consistent performance is checking & maintaining correct tire pressure, and "rotating" the fronts and backs every 9 or 10k miles. As far as non-directional SUV tires that provide performance & longevity in all seasons & conditions and can be traditionally rotated, the Michelin Defender LTX M/S is an excellent tire. We had to replace OEM Goodyear run flat tires on my wife's X3 @ 29k mi's. That car eats tires. Went with the Cross Climate 2's. So impressed decided to put them on my car, replacing Defenders w/70k + mi's, plenty of tread & still look new. Concern there was dry rot, as Defenders were almost 7 yrs. old. Few miles driven during pandemic.

    Poor lateral grip. And they don’t have much grip on wet so it lets me oversteer at corners. Abs still kicks in breaking in snow. Theyre ok tires. I was expecting better winter traction.

      @@GenuineReviewsWorld In the end Michelin really stepped up and I never thought that would happen in a million years. Being Michelin did not make my size anymore with the 3MPSF designation they told me to have the tire dealer (COSTCO) contact them about the 3 good tires with the DOT & 3 tread reading from each tire, Michelin then reimbursed me for the other 3 good tires and COSTCO then prorated the damaged tire, I bought the Bridgestone WeatherPeak whch has the 3MPSF designation in my size . Michelin was told that I was buying the Bridgestone tires in which they had no problem

    Have these on my 2020 CRV since October 2021 , I cannot agree with you on the quiet aspect they do make a slight drumming noise on dry roads above 50mph I have learned to live with it but not as quiet as the factory Dunlop SP Sportmaxx 050 they replaced which were summer Tires, grip is good on light to Slushy snow but they are are not full time snow tires so in deep snow they are average, when these came out on the market I honestly bought into the marketing, I paid a lot for these tires more than I would for a set of dedicated winter tires, I will use them until they are not safe but I cannot honestly say they were worth the extra money. That my honest review 7/10.
