The new Knight models are great, but what's really calling to me is the Bretonnian Exiles variant. A single Paladin, 5 Knights on Foot, then a LOT of Peasents, Yeomen, Squires and Battle Pilgrims sounds like a mad old time on the table.
The crests for me are excessive, they're too flashy. Once you remove them they become pretty sober medels though. Also, I'm not a fan of how the shape and dimensions of their two-handed axes. For Bretonnia I would have preferred either pole-axes or blades resembling more medieval halberds or bills. These are a bit too generic and soulless.
Would have been much more helpful showing the assembled but unpainted miniatures. You also didn't answer your own questions, whether there are spare bits, and whether the bits can be combined with the existing KotR kit.
I'm going through all my 40k for decals and chalice bits and the like. To keep with the Baron's heraldry, I'm hoping for quartered shields for the Errants, 1/2 for the Knights of the realm, and whatever for the Grail Knights since they should be all grail-based heraldry. The Errants will be the sons of the Knights of the Realm so they will have their father's heraldry as well as their own and the Baron's. For the peasants, I I'm thinking that there will be batches from each lord or knight as the knights bring their household guard with them. The ballista and mounted yeomen will probably have the Baron's heraldry as he would be the only with enough money for these.
Could I ask what the scale is from foot to eye level? I feel like the new models are pushing for a more realistic scale in comparison with the older units
You might be able to fit one or two of the models on 20mm square bases, but it wouldn't be easy to rank them up, as these figures are almost as big as Chaos Warriors - better on 25mm square or 25mm round bases.
£50 for twenty pieces of plastic is not bad at all?! Mate, you need to check yourself! That price is insanely bad and is why i stopped buying from them years ago.
yeah in OZ (somewhere far and away from anywhere you care for) it's been $70 a 10 man unit. recently it's been $100 for 10 guys. so regular price for 2 units and no inflationary mark up, isn't bad. it's not great, but it's meh, everyday price.
in Australia, they being the price of x2 boxes of regular 10 dudes, not too bad since no mark up. would've been awesome if it was 2 units at $100 but $140 isn't bad here all things considered.

these will be pulling at least triple duty. guard for: sisters of battler, black templars. necromunda: enforcers, warcry: my own dudes.

The shields look like something from AoS.
Old school bases for old world is cool! Great review 👍🏻

I'm looking for exactly that info right now
What's the scale like next to the peasants?
Can the upper torsos of these knights be combined with the lower body of one of the old Knights on horse? (and how would it look?)

Comparison pics are a Google search away and these guys are larger than the infantry and older knights.

Perry makes 36 better looking knights for £22 a box.
I agree they have basically doubled the contents of these boxes to shift more plastic quicker
