I was expecting to see you CeraCote the pressure regulator. I know that you've done a ton of other pieces but you don't really have standard grey pot metal anywhere else... I don't know if that was intentional or not, but its at least a suggestion. lol. The build overall is insanely clean and you have tons to be proud of!!!
Austin, we need to have a cars n' coffee here in town!! With you as the Special Guest... I think it would be a great success. This thing is looking sooo good. 🍻
if you install gages where there is alot of rattle or shaking you need to install some kind of bushings to stop it from hitting the gauges. is an engineer thing and has to do with fire wall construction. that's why you don't see gages on built cars under the hood often. they go out quick and cause problems with miss reads. put it behind the fire wall for the best effect and read.
Awesome video as usual. Great trick for the cable too! Can't wait to see the next installment of this build. Cheers from Sydney Australia MATE 🇭🇲👍🦘🇺🇸🇭🇲🦘👍🇭🇲
I have an old International Scout that had a small crack in the fuel fill tube. I tried to fix it by cutting it in half and using rubber fill tube to splice it back together. The first time I filled it up after that I could hear a ticking sound. I didn't realize that it was static discharge until it caught on fire. It was quite exciting at the fuel station that day.
Are you going to satin clear coat the body ? I know that the rat rod guys have a variety of methods to preserve the patina and are simple applications. You could door a faded shop logo on the doors even just for kicks..... truck is coming along and looking great. Looking forward to seeing what's next and the final outcome. You haven't even given any teasers for the FJ lol... looking forward to seeing that build too.
So pumped for this build LETS GO!!! PS i think it would be cool to keep the heart stickers on the pillar (10:11). like the same red as on the weels maby?
Engine looks sooo good in there and I like the Pro tip with the torch and drill to do the cable ends. Cool how you wired the fuel pump to the oil pressure switch. Gotta be safe. I can't wait to hear it run with those dual carbs.
You’re build Is very nice and I’m not kicking anything but if your pump only comes on in the crank position that returns when you let go then it might be a problem 😂 and also I like your thinking on the oil pressure “safety” with the pump. Buttt the carbs will run for a solid minute or so before the motor will die on the fuel they have in their bowls. Keep up the good work man. Carbs are a whole other ball game 😅
The pump will continue to run once the engine is started using the factory wiring like I did! Not like the factory pump quit when the engine is running haha thank you!
Nice work I wish I had your skills and abilities‼ Want to install an LS 5.3 L33 with a Tremec TKO in our 5 lug 07 reg cab Tacoma? I have the NOS TKO & just purchased an 06 L33 that I’m having refreshed by someone w/ the proper tools & skills. My bucket list…
Very nice work as always. I would reccomend an extra ground wire from the fuelgauge/old pump assembly to the frame. If the tank supports get corroded, there will be a bad ground. Result is a strange acting fuel gauge and fuelpump issues.
Those are called rivnuts.....the tool flairs them into sheet metal and they are serrated to bite into the metal to help prevent them from spinning although sometimes they still do lol.... they are a great tool but take some practice in installing.
I see you don't have the brake booster connected. Have you considered doing a booster delete? Chase Bays makes a universal kit, but they may already have one for the Toyota.
You're to the part of the build that's really fun for a builder. This is where your vision becomes a real truck and it's looking great.

Please ceracoat the fuel pressure regulator mount the same color as the carbs and valve cover !! Thumbs up as always

Great job. Thats a labor of love on that mini Tpypta Hilux.
Sorry Toyota. I was half awake but I had to catch up on your progress. Keep it up!
Can’t wait to see this thing run.

Nice clean installation!
You have made skills my friend. Best of luck with the project completion.
Austin you are converting this Hilux into a piece of Art, as were all your previous projects. Eagerly waiting for the red landcrusier project.
Awesome video as usual.

Can't wait to see the next installment of this build.

I can already hear them carbs singin💨💨
Looking good. You do really nice work.
Looks great. All the detail and quality parts is what sets you apart from others.
3:56 i think you should make carb bracket to support the load... vibration could make leaky connection
Everything my boy touch is as clean as it gets , Austin you are a beast
Austin you the Picasso of Yota restorations cant wait too see what you do with the fj40 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome stuff. Can't wait to see this Luxman running
Quality work as usual.

Es algo mágico lo que estás haciendo ,será una cenicienta
Looking great Austin, I liked your tip on the cables, you can solder the section before you cut and that stops it fraying too.
This is great I have a 1977 Toyota pickup same engine but a different body style and it needs a new fuel pump so thanks man
Great fuel line build Austin. Looks like everyone a winner????
I'm looking forward to hearing the sound of an engine 🎶😀nice job you are skillful
That engine bay is so good.
gorgeous build man
Your vid’s are sick bro you should make more vids of you using the trucks that would be badass 💨
So satisfying seeing all the pieces come together , so much art and talent my guy keep it up ! 👌🏻💯

Well I suppose, but my fuel pump is grounded to the frame with a wire.. seems like about everything on these old trucks ground that way!
عمل رائع
What was that bronze fitting that you pressed into the firewall for the regulator? Basically a nut?
Those are called rivnuts.....the tool flairs them into sheet metal and they are serrated to bite into the metal to help prevent them from spinning although sometimes they still do lol.... they are a great tool but take some practice in installing.
Yeah it’s a threaded insert.
She's looking great!
Can’t wait to see this hit the road! We’re so close
Yo I love it ...from Kenya with love....BTW both niemelas channels are dope big up
Cerakote those parts in the burnt bronze and powder coat the control arm the red!!!
I see you don't have the brake booster connected. Have you considered doing a booster delete? Chase Bays makes a universal kit, but they may already have one for the Toyota.
hey man. how did you run line from gas tank to fuel pump? any tips?
Hopefully you read this Carter does make a in-tank fuel pump the claim 3 psi but my gauge at the carb reads 4 psi but mine a 32/36
very nice fitting
I noticed that on your hilux that the petrol pump is in the fuel tank on my hilux its a mechanical pump and its bolted to the side of the motor
What is your suspension on the red truck?
are you going to swap out the stock fan for a flex fan and adapter on the engine?
Hi this BRIAN
WHEN PLUMBING HI - PERFORMANCE HOSE AND FITTING you should use PTFE TAPE AND ALLOY SPANNERS
He seals them at 9:50
Would it be possible to add at digital dash on these maybe something from the 80s
