This is a profound one, Ryan. Thank you for sharing. I had thought just this year that I could play both sides of the coin - to remain employed by a Western company and move to Thailand to provide those services from there. It did not work out. I have made a heap of all my winnings, and now my wife and I will be opening a little food shop in Thailand at which point I will have unindebted myself and freed myself from the imposter of success to live a simpler, gentler, smaller life - one that is me and her and nothing else - nobody else's expectations, nobody else's opinions.
Iam with you on peace ✌️ that is the ultimate goal with health ofcourse. I think thats why i enjoy your contact. Because iam in Nyc and it is non-stop. I run my own business so i can take breaks when needed.However it very demanding. I also think I may miss the action. If i was away to long ..like is it my purpose in life to be here in new york developing major franchise opportunities for people to own their own buisness

Your words are truth. I've seen war first hand and have spent the last 13 years struggling to pay off everything. I have felt your fight in many ways and will be returning to Thailand in a few weeks for the winter. I need to return home one more year but I plan to live a simpler life and find fulfilling meaningful things to fill my days. Thanks the the wisdom..... Cheers.

My heart is truly breaking for the one million innocent children in the Gaza open air prison, now with no water, no food, no power, all exit routes blocked and being bombed with full Western support. Even though I'm in the beautiful country of Thailand, I can feel the injustice and unfairness the world is capable of.

I hear you. I see you. I am currently in Canada visiting family and friends and taking care of expected responsibilities. The energy is very different from my life in Thailand. The fear, anxiety and worries creep back in. I have been here for only one week and can't wait to get home. I miss her very much, her energy, her simplicity, her careful and attentive nature. I miss the calming energy that surrounds and nutures my spirit when I am at home in Thailand. It is very difficult to explain if one has never experienced it. I count the days to my return and find it difficult to make my way here now in the west. I miss my home, where my heart is, where my spirit is light and accepted without expectations. In my opinion, everything evil in our world is in one shape or form connected to greed itself. Letting go and setting your spirit free does really help to find that sense of peace and happiness you speak to. It allows a person to let go of judgement formed by opinion which is based on assumption. Let go, fall...be free and share yourself and your heart. I see you bro. Thanks eh. 🙏

I too have found a very similar peace.. here in the mountains of NZ.. this place is like my sanctuary and i strive to maintain this.. it's so important to me.. especially with everything that's going on around the world.. wars.. racism.. hatred towards others and innocents etc.. and yes until there's a collective level of peace amongst everyone then nothings going to change which is really sad.. so grateful for what we have Ryan.. much love to yourself Damo and the kids.. peace and love always🥰💜🦋🥀☮️

You are correct Ryan, we must consciously understand that we are all one and the same home.
All beautifully put. Not least as finding peace does appear to take a degree of luck and we need to see everything as temporary. I certainly have found peace in the mountains of Java and my garden. But my step daughters are in Jakarta and my wife wants to be with them. This reinforces the need for compromise, which was one of your bigger points.
Debt is indeed a sickness, irresponsible lending in my insignificant village in the mountains of Java has caused major dislocations. With everyone trying to loan money from family and neighbours to pay off bank loans that should never have been granted. Worse still loan apps have been downloaded and are blackmailing simple farmers, who maybe have never had a smart phone before. Not only are these loans impossible to pay off, there is often no intention of doing so, this is causing resentment within families and between friends.

Yes, I kind of prefer this channel because it feels like having a conversation, and doing that in a calm way is what's lacking today. So I appreciate your thoughts and the expression of gratitude for the peace in your personal world. This is mostly what we can do, strive for and actively create harmony and tolerance in our own little worlds. It's what I try to do, and it feeds back to keep me sane.

I think it was Warren Buffet who said don’t buy a house and car. Rent and lease especially in the world today.
Even though things are happening on the outside, there is a quiet place within where the waters of thought are still. Follow my breath deep inside myself. Allow to gently relax it. Stay grounded in my own with my family bodies, feel the love in my heart, and will continue having a peaceful day with them which is my parents siblings, parents including my neighbors too. It's all about my own family situations including mine too. All are done peacefully by my own Amen quotes each day by making them happily.
Living in Chanthaburi here, most Thais focus on what the price of Durian, main big money crop. But to try find your inner peace is always a priority , and always is. Good luck in the future.

When the day comes that i move with my thai wife to live in thailand, i will cry of happiness when the hard shell i build up around me can be broken down because of living in the west. The so called "modern free world" of the west is actually a cage where you are stuck in. New subscriber here. Great content. I will be moving about 3 hours north of you sometime next year. Thai wife's hometown. I don't speak Thai and find it extremely difficult to learn any languages, especially Thai. Almost nobody speaks English where she lives. Seems I will have to learn to ever integrate and not feel isolated and alone. Any tips to learn this language? Cheers!

You make some excellent points, and I often compare myself to a fish and in an aquarium. Swimming around grubbing around for food with the shoal and then one of your number dies.. And life goes on regardless m, until it's your turn to stop swimming around for good. We have a mortgage, but I never refer to it as buying a house. You Cs only say that when you have paid off everything and for a lot of us, it can be a lifetime I sometimes snigger at people posing with their American Express but all that tells me is that they are telling ghe world they are in debt. It's a funny old world, but I try to explain to people that constantly moan about things in the West that they are the lucky 20%! It is true to say that 2% of the worlds population owns around 98 % of the world's wealth, but is is also fair to say the rest of us over here have a reasonable life if we can take long holidays, eat out from time to time and can enjoy the pleasures of life. Almost half the world's population don't know where their next meal is coming from, and another third are in war-torn countries. For this, we should be grateful.

Life always brings chaos and challenges at times wherever you are, i think, much less so in an environment such as yours. Debt is caused by yearning from what I have observed. "I need a better car", or "we need a bigger house" and purposely going into debt to satisfy your "yearning" without having the means to actually afford it or a plan to pay for it. Peace and Love
Unfortunately the Hamas are puppets of Islam. and the Israelites, to Judaism which for centuries has caused their division. As an anti-theist it is simply unfathomable that people/cultures have not evolved beyond these mythological beliefs. Humanism is what should be celebrated, not religion.

Being selective is key, i've noticed alot of news is fabricated and can also affect our interactions day to day with children and family
100% agree. The thing is can we live authentically and embrace the good and bad, or just live in ignorance and be blissful? I think authentic even though it's heartbreaking too, but it's the reality that the world is showing us. The news or media has a life of it's own in regards to good and bad, truth or lies, that in itself is something we must learn to deal with and not be ignorant of its intentions.
If you read and understand the Bible, you know full well that peace will never be until Christs return. To think that humans or politics will ever resolve conflict is insane. Revelations mate - it's all there, and unfortunately, or fortunately, we are at the end of times. Depends how you've been raised and what you believe.
