Thanks for Ur demonstration. 👍👍 I have a doubt which isn't skin related 🤭 When do we apply hair mask? I meant before shampoo and conditioner or after? Thank you .
Hello again! Regrettably, I'm not highly knowledgeable about hair products such as hair masks. 🙈 My routine is quite simple; I only use one kind of shampoo, and that's it. 😅 If I were to use a hair mask, I would likely use it instead of the conditioner in my regimen.
Hi Melissa, very informative video as always. I was wondering if you think this cleanser is suited for breakout prone skin as it contains ethylhexyl palmitate which is highly comedogenic? I´m kind of worried by that, but I have very sensitive skin (I can barely tolerate cleansers without having redness)
The reason why numerous cleansers aren't appropriate for acne-prone skin doesn't lie solely in the potential comedogenicity of their ingredients - although I'm familiar with the rabbit ear comedogenicity scale, I find it somewhat questionable. The main issue, in my opinion, arises because these cleansers remain on the skin's surface to form a protective layer against water loss. This layer then mixes with the skin's natural oils and dirt, particularly when the skin is already predisposed to acne. The mixture can clog pores, especially since it's often difficult to remove completely from the skin. Now, I opt for foaming cleansers, which have dramatically improved my skin condition, even though some of these contain ingredients deemed highly comedogenic according to incidecoder.com/comedogenic-rating. However, I feel this rating system is largely unhelpful and tends to create more confusion than clarity, as it may distract from the real issues. As for your sensitivity, have you identified what might be causing it? You might consider trying balm cleansers or gentle foaming cleansers.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Thank you for your view on this, indeed I did some research myself on the comedogenity rating system before and I understand its flaws, but I still wanted to know your opinion. I have very difficult skin, because it´s combination (even more on the dry side), very sensitive and blemish prone. So what I like about this product is that it´s not stripping and it´s not giving me redness. I have tried dozens of other cleansers (also foaming) and they seem to be too harsch for my skin type. The only problem with this is that it´s not cleansing enough for like sunscreen so at night I use micellar water from Bioderma as a first step and then as moisturizer the LRP Effaclar H Iso Biome. This routine seems to be working at the moment, but only been doing this for like 2 days, so will have to wait some more before making conclusions. I actually should go to a dermatologist, but I live in a country (Belgium) where it is very difficult at the moment to get an appointment because of very long waiting lists. So at the moment I´m just trying myself to get things under control :)
@@Drito179 Well, two days is not really a long time, haha. Yes, it doesn't remove sunscreen or makeup effectively, but that's not its primary purpose. For that, you would need to use a balm or oil cleanser as already suggested (for example, G&G Mighty Melt Cleansing Balm or Beauty of Joseon Radiance Cleansing Balm). These are gentle and fantastic. You could then follow with Beauty of Joseon Plum Cleanser. Overall, it would likely be a good idea for you to look into these newly trendy Korean skincare products. They mainly focus on hydration and gentler options that may work great for you. Our Western approaches are often too harsh for this. If you live in Belgium, you could simply go to a general practitioner; they should also be able to help you. You don't necessarily need to see a dermatologist. I only went to dermatologists here in Luxembourg when the general practitioner had no idea what to do anymore (for example, when I had a fungal infection on my back when I was younger). But generally, our doctors are good at understanding such conditions. They are often not as product-focused and genuinely want to help - that's at least been my experience here in Luxembourg. 🙃
Hi girl I have been using this cleanser for past 5 years and trust me my skin in one of the most sensitive skin I have ever seen even the mildest to mildest product gives me sensitivity!! Even water which are harsh makes my skin red and I can understand how hard to have such skin trust me this cleanser is the best if you have super sensitive skin like me!!
Hello again, No, as I cannot get it here in my country. They differ in several ways according to their ingredient lists: Ingredients: The Hydrating Gentle Facial Cleanser contains several ingredients not found in the Dermo Milky Cleanser, such as Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate (an emollient), Propanediol (a humectant), Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate (a viscosity agent), Polysorbate 60 (an emulsifier), Ceramide NP (a skin-replenishing ingredient), Niacinamide (a form of Vitamin B3 that can brighten skin and strengthen its barrier), Sodium Chloride (a viscosity-increasing agent), Coco-Betaine (a surfactant), Disodium EDTA (a chelating agent), Panthenol (a form of Vitamin B5 that has skin-soothing properties), and Tocopherol (Vitamin E). These ingredients together offer a more complex formulation which could provide additional benefits such as hydration, skin barrier repair, and soothing effects. The Dermo Milky Cleanser has a simpler formula, with Ethylhexyl Palmitate (a texture enhancer and emollient), Dipropylene Glycol (a solvent and moisturizer), Carbomer (a thickening agent), Sodium Hydroxide (a pH adjuster), Capryl Glycol/Caprylyl Glycol (a skin-conditioning agent), and Ethylhexylglycerin (a skin-conditioning agent). This minimalistic formula is designed to effectively cleanse the skin with less potential for irritation, especially for those who have extremely sensitive or reactive skin.
Hmm, the dermo cleanser is not very effective in removing sunscreen. Generally, that sunscreen comes off quickly with a regular foaming cleanser. However, in your case it may be advisable to use a balm or oil cleanser before that to ensure everything is properly removed from the skin.
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial So I bought this cleanser. Today is day 1 I have tried it. You're right. The film left behind is VERY lightweight. I have been wanting to try it for a while now. So far, I'm pleased. I have hyper, overreactive, sensitive, dry, and rosacea skin. It's VERY hard to find cleansers and moisturizers my face tolerates. Don't get me started on sunscreen. 🤣 My scalp and entire body is the same way.
@@LavenderCross75 Yes, it's a concern. I recently switched to regular soaps and am currently trying out very basic formulations. So far, so good. I understand what you're saying, and I believe the issue often stems from the excessive number of chemicals these products contain. Over time, the skin may develop allergies or experience irritation, either due to overuse or simply because the chemicals are too harsh for the skin.
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial You are correct! ❤️ For body wash I use Vanicream bar soap or their gentle body wash. I also use their Shampoo and Conditioner. Fragrance and cocomidopropyl betaine are not my friend. I use Fragrance free laundry soap too. I'm just highly allergic to many things. ❤️.I really enjoy your videos and thank you for taking the time to film them. 🤗

I would wash it off in the first place, but I´m still worried haha

So it is to be used like a cleansing oil ?
Yes, however, it's likely not as effective in the sense that it may struggle to remove waterproof makeup such as mascara or lip liner/lipstick.
Do you have the GENTLE hydrating cleanser from LRP? I think it’s not available in Europe

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ You are Beutyfull
Is it foamy? Because I just bought mine and its not foamy at all just need to check the authenticity of what I bought
No, as you can see in the video, it is a cream cleanser meant for dry to very dry skin.
No. It's not foamy
Hello. Do we have to double cleanse for uvmune 400 sunscreens or will dermo cleanser be enough to remove them?

Can this be used for combination skin?
No, I recommend using a mild foaming cleanser instead; like from CeraVe, Cetaphil, The Ordinary or Beauty of Joseon.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial isn’t this cleanser for all skin types?
@@sophias7704 Yeah, but from my experience, using a mild foaming cleanser works much better in removing excess oil from the skin.
