How dare you call your Sims playing girlfriend a “non-gamer!’ Psh! hahah. ;) For real though, she did soooo much better with Gundyr after pulling the sword out of his chest than I did! Very impressive first battle!

I think you are making shit up... I played Dark Souls 3 for 2 thousand hours and never noticed that supposedly lanterns light the way or the cathedral is lit up as a signal or that red eyed enemies are weaker to fire (which by the way is not entirely true at all) I do enjoy your videos and the idea behind them but bruh.... your comments/opinions are so wrong/annoying :/ Easy mode is not "summon someone what plays the game for you" easy mode is less difficulty but I can still play the game myself.
I personally enjoyed how the more emotionally charged she got the more her accent came through. Something about a woman yelling in a slight Scottish (?) brogue that very charming.
Yeah, this is the second video of theirs that I watched, and it was only in the halfway mark in this video where I started recognizing that she has a non-English background lol. I couldn’t tell if it was an Irish or Scottish accent though. I personally thought it was Irish at first with the way she was over-pronouncing her “r’s” but you are probably right (because I am an American, so I am not the best with recognizing the different accents in the UK).
@@calebcrook5875 *first ds3 boss. She's already played the 1st boss of DS1, Bloodborne, and sekiro Still, no less impressive, considering he often gives the most accomplished players a hard time, from time to time
14:30 Actually no, that's not the Firelink Shrine of Dark Souls 1, that one, or to better say what remain of it, is locaded in the The Dreg Heap of the Ringed City DLC, after the Demon Prince bossfight. It's right in the path that elad you to the actual Ringed City. The one at the beginning is just another Firelink Shrine, one of the many that were built in the course of ages since the bebinning of the Dark Souls story.
@@averyangrycrow4936 No, that's impossible, because the Gwyn arena is the location of the First Flame, and since the flame can't be moved, it means that the Gwyn arena is the same place as the Sould of Cinder arena. The DS3 Firelink Shrine is just a temple build during the time between DS1 and DS3.
As much as I love the Souls series, I always hated that. Your attacks get stuck in the walls, but the enemys don't. I think that's not fair. You need to think carefully about that, but they can ignore it. It's like they play by the same rules as you, except for this.
She's such a delight. I would love to see the facial expressions that go along with this, I feel that'd be even funnier. Also, she's a great sport. I'm glad she got her Sims4. I also do not consider her summoning a cheat; that's clearly in the game. She just got an amazing summon.
Well on one hand this is smart on the other its not good because its actually good to fight him in order to train for when the game throws multiple of them at you
That’s the first thing I did, then I got chucked off the castle by that dark thing, got folded by wannabe spear hero, and got jumped by weaklings having fun though.😔👍
@Chris Stecko You can’t kill him that early on. You can only make him go away and move on to the next area he shows up in, after you get him down to like 75% health. I almost did it myself, but I am thankful I ran out of arrows. That dragon was so helpful in giving me a bunch of easy souls to buy stuff and level up early in the game. :)
I kinda want to hear her reaction to your explanation of the things that went wrong/right. How does she react to things you thought are obvious? How does she view the things that surprised you? It's actually refreshing to see somebody not "tainted" by the soulslikes to experience the games first-hand. It may make the game, in your own words, more accessible to a wider audience.
Just popping a pinned comment here for clarity. "Accessibility" does not equal "difficulty," and when I call DS3 accessible I mean accessible to get into. Dark Souls doesn't need an easy mode. It does need accessibility features. I have a pal who's colour blind and beating Pontiff Sullivan is physically impossible for him because he can't tell the difference between the original and the copies!
I think it's quite impressive how much fun she had and how she learned to apply knowledge gathered from previous games. That's a lot of progress she made there. I entered the DS series with DS 3 and had a LOT more problems at the beginning - maybe because I have encountered more enemies face to face instead of running past them ^^
yeah fr, when i learned that i could just run from some enemies i was so frustrated because i was terrible at fighting that i just started speedrunning the game, what leaded me to have no souls in advanced areas
The opposite happened to me on my first playthrough, I discovered the crystal lizard and got assblasted but me and my pride decided we were not moving from that area till we killed it, I knew I was supposed to return there later to kill it but I saw it doable and so kept trying, after 2 hours of deaths I finally got the reptile. Then I proceeded to defeat gundyr on the 2nd attempt because i had understood the game mechanics while hitting my head against the wall called crystal lizard. It probably sounds like a very normal story to everyone but it was my second console game ever and my first souls game so I barely knew how to use the controller, I'm pretty proud of that
She couldn't even beat Vordt without OP summons. It would be boring watching her get to every boss and just summoning instead of working hard for the wins. It would be mildly entertaining inbetween bosses though I will give you that XD.
@@celiafrostborn I honestly don't care how she gets through it. You want to watch experts? There are plenty. This was funny and fun, and I want more 🤷🏾♀️
@@celiafrostborn Dude, what's wrong with using summons, i actually don't get it, yeah it makes the game easier, that doesn't make it boring or unenjoyable, if you say that you basically just see dark souls as a hard game ignoring the entire game, let people just enjoy the game
Right now the video is paused at 1:09, right where I left it when I first found this video earlier today. I never seen a video from this guy before I first found this video, but within a minute I could tell I was going to like this so I instantly went back and watched the other three which were great! Now it's time to finally watch this one. Lol
“Fast” is the first word that comes to mind when I think of dark souls 3. I played all three games in a row (the fact that I managed to get through 2 still amazes me) but when I started up DS3 … the speed of everything was a major selling point for me
2 is really hard to get into but if you get into it you can't stop being a fan . And if you don't then you will hate that game with a passion . 3 is the exact opposite , it is easier to get into but after replying it multiple times it becomes less fun much faster than the other 2 entries .
@@ra.n9482 disagree on this one. I loved replaying ds3 but while i enjoyed my initial playthrough of ds1 and ds2 ( yes even ds2), i didn't have nearly as much fun playing it again
I love this series, having been the guy who sat his wife down to play dark souls, myself. Mine didn't go quite as well, and she thinks she's better at the game when drunk. (Spoiler alert she's not.)
The firelink shrine isn't the same as in ds1. If you play the ringed city dlc and fight the demon princes', their boss arena is the location of ds1's main hub.
I love the commentary in your videos man. It’s nice to see others confirm thoughts I had myself when offered laying for the first time. Noobus’ gameplay/commentary is fun too. Cheers!
I just discovered this series, and I have been binging them, as they are an absolute blast. More than just a let's play or a video essay, these videos are filled with a lot of love that has kept me engaged through each of these videos. I appreciate all the work in the edits and look forward to when the next video comes out!
I would call this a video study. It documents a real scenario. This is very much a topic that could be covered as a video essay with the study backing it up.
I really liked that she summoned help. I started DS 3 not long ago and this video inspired me to help other players when ever I am bored or feel competent enough lol. The funny thing is that I put my sign down at Vordt and someone wanted to do the dancer. We did it no problem even though I haven't finished the dancer myself (I use Pyro and Black Pyro spells, maybe thats why the damage is alright). I felt so nice after that. The same thing happened plenty more times and I farmed a generous amount of souls from that. I really really like how this game implements PvP
as someone VERY new to souls games as well (not completely, i grew up watching my brother play them) watching your girlfriend get better and better at this genuinely gives me hope for my own games lol. it also makes me feel like a proud mother. watching her rolling through the i frames for the first time made me genuinely excited.
It's even better if you target the darkness, it has it's own lock on, but you can also stand behind Gundier and rake his ass. Pyromancer's has the best options for either strat.
The moment I understood the game was good was on my second playthrough. Both times I picked the depraved class and I must've spent hours the first time. Second playthrough I beat him first try.
Her rolling has improved so much across her time with fromsoft games, good on her for fighting through the frustrations that she had. Hope that passion grew and she kept playing the games off camera
the sims touch of choice in song during Iudex tho :D I taught my bf how to play dark souls 3 and he's loved it ever since! So glad I found this amazing channel! She did amazing honestly!! EDIT: i'M 100% SATISFIED with how she won! I always ask for summons, nothing wrong with that at all! But ty for the dancer haha!
I love how much panic rolling she dose on the first boss really interesting to see how everyone starts out kinda hard to remember since I began playing so long ago
One of my favorite series on UA-cam is back! Easily the best yet, and it was so cool to see her do so well on Gundyr on the first try. And I don't care what anyone says; to see her use her resources and melt Vordt was completely satisfying.
Sat down and watched this series with my girlfriend (souls 1 & 3) and really enjoyed it. At the end of it we found ourselves asking for a part 2. I think it would be good for the channel analytics and we'd be stoked to watch it. Good video ~ Good Luck with the channel.
I love the contrast of a new player fighting Gundyr and how basically all the threat comes from panic because he's so intimidating. it allows veterans to just breeze past an easy boss and get straight to the good stuff while noobs have get over their(perfectly natural) fear of mister spoopy, and in doing so hopefully learn to be more aggressive, before they start exploring the world.
Yeah, the first half of Dark Souls 3 is absolutely perfect. Even later there is another path, a confident veteran can kill that old woman that gives you the banner and fight the Dancer, then Oceiros and then the Champion, so you can kill Vordt with a maxed out weapon if that's what you like. Yeah. It's perfect. Perfect until fucking Farron Keep ffs From it's always a fucking poison swamp. (?
@@floreroafloreril1458 Actually I'd say that after Gundyr DS3 Has a pretty big drop in quality until the Cathedral of the deep(Farron keep can, in fact, die in a hole). But I do love the the fact you can kill the dancer early; That one choice made the game the most replayable single player game I've ever played
@@TheBronf if you know where to go and what to do then I guess so? but that's not even the main problem with the area. the problem is that it encourages you to run past everything, rather then that being a last resort
@@Rassalcon as soon as you walk out of the small bonfire room there is a lit up piles of wood on the left and and safe dirt to walk on. following that you see stairs that leads to the first candle. keep following that path will end up to the second candle a bonfire and the exit to the next area that is still locked so you need to find the third candle. keeping in mind that dirt = path you keep following the safe dirt that leads to the third candle opening the door. this is what i did when i first went into this area with out looking at a guide. now as a newbie who is playing ds 3 as there first game exploration was encouraged on the frist few areas but this areas discourgage's that due to the slow walking sawmp so i do consider that a design flaw and i recken they should of added a ring to remove the slow movement like the rusted ring in ds 1 at the cathedral of the deep that is easy to find so no it does not encourage you to run past everything you can still take your time and kill everything with out being poisoned.
@Chris Stecko well each person struggles with different bosses I struggled with abyss watchers due to not really knowing what backstabs were and how good they are
Despite the fact I've beaten the game probably 15 times, Midir still manages to slaughter me over and over and over and over and...you get the point. Lol. I walk all over all other bosses but the moment I get to him, life is just over.
Midir can be extremely difficult for a first dragon boss fight. If you beat Kalameet and even got the pain in the ass tail cut for the Onyx Blade, then you are well equipped mentally to beat Midir because you know the trick is to limit his moveset by baiting attacks that you can evade easily by staying right in front of his giant face. However, for a beginner, Midir can be nearly impossible. If you fight him like you would the other bosses, you're gonna get wrecked.Trying to get behind or under Midir is a quick way to die. But most beginners won't know that and they certainly aren't gonna stand in front of the big, scary dragon's dome piece. So that might be a bit much for now. But then again, everyone struggles with different bosses. The toughest bosses for me in my first playthrough were Slave Knight Gael, Nameless King, and weirdly enough, Pontiff Sulyvahn. (Oh, and Desert Pyromancer Zoey but she's not technically a boss. Unfortunately, nobody told her that) Most people are surprised when I say I struggled with the Pontiff but beat Champion Gundyr and Lothric Bois on my first try.
32:38 it absolutely counts. Cheap, but it's like using the dragon to kill the Lothric Knight earlier on (which I've actually never thought of doing in my 505 hours), just using the in game systems to overcome an obstacle. Everything is fair in Dark Souls
"...believing that faster only applied to her ..." *Oh no* , I made that mistake as well since I hadn't played Bloodborne and thought "faster" means easier killing . I did not finish the tutorial that day . I know I said it before but it would be really fun to see her reaction to DS2 . Despite being a fan of DS2 (fight me !) I always had a love/hate relationship with the first act of the game especially duo to the "hollowing" mechanic .
I just came back to DS2 and I'm kinda falling in love with it all over again, all the little details like dagger chain attacks, panting when out of stamina, the eratic way Heide knights fight, the number of kinds of secrets, it's just all very cool. That said, fuck fire arrows, enemies could use rebalancing the random hollows shouldn't be stronger than the pirates, especially when the pirate equipment is better, Flexible's water should be a NG+ thing, it's already a tough boss early on. But being reminded of Lothric castle/High Wall, castle of Forest of Fallen Giants is like a master class on level design, if feels big and has lots of options but they form many tight loops in a way I don't think Lothric ever managed, and it's not just a layer cake like OG Anor Londo.
I just think there's a lot of important mechanics in ds2 that can be hard for a new player to notice and thus be at a massive disadvantage, I have no idea how long it took me to beat ds2 since I didn't fully know how useful adp was and hadn't discovered the ring of binding until very late game.
I have that game sitting in my library but I get unreasonably angry thinking about the ADP mechanic. The thought of downloading and opening that game up gives me dread.
Yeah, I find ds2 the best of the three also! Im glad there are more people agreeing. I dont even know what others complaint is, but maybe im not far enough to know. I dont have the kings sign or whatever yet.
@@jimtsap04 I could right a book on all the things DS2 could do to be nicer, restoring humanity after a boss, like 1~ or 3, would go a long way, especially because their are soo many. AGI's improve defensive actions is pretty vague, and it feels like half of enemies were designed without I-frames in mind, and half were. Popular DS2 opinion, I want a dsII2, but Elden Ring is looking to go down the same kind of line as early DS2 so I'm hopeful for the future.
Aside from these videos being fun to watch for her struggles and reactions, I really enjoy seeing how she handles the learning curve and how intuitive she's becoming with these games' mechanics, and how even as a non gamer, she came to enjoy these games and not only that, this series portrays quite well that while they're difficult and challenging games (usually not being cheap or having artificial difficulty) they are quite rewarding when succeeding, victory doesn't come from luck through rng or damage variance, or from getting that one OP item, items and armour and weapons help, but it's sheer determination and skill that brings victory
I know there's bound to be people getting butt frustrated over her summoning help for Vordt, but honestly? It's not cheating - it's resourcefulness. One of the best parts of the Souls series is being able to call on others to help if you're having a rough time. The fact she retained that knowledge into this game is honestly wonderful! Big ups to her for giving the series another go, and big ups to you for another quality video!
Or the comment about her dodging skill on the first boss..which was spamming roll then running out of stamina for the next attack to dodge. Still a fan of the video series and great seeing someone learning to appreciate the games.
@@StabStabStabStabby also anyone intetionally dodge rolling attacks would probably know about i-frames... she definitely didn't know about i-frames(god i hate when somoene who knows that you're iinvincible during a roll(or other such non-explained mechanics) doesn't tell you that! it's literally KEY in playing this game effectively and without fear.
@@Kazuhiro-i i-frames are a mechanic that is key component of the gameplay that even gets explicitly mentiioned in ds2's stat screen(under adaptability/agility) and in the carthus bloodring in ds3, but never anywhere else. as for why i'd explain it? it's not because "it's the better way", but simply because i consider it a fault of these games that they don't tell you in a tutorial(in this case, the devs messages) how these mechanics actually work, however; you're free to disagree with me, even if all the times i've been to the side of someone during a blind playthrough and helped, i've never had any of this sort of issue with backseating, explaining the mechanics is far from directing and telling a person which way to play(which is different from teaching how to play, once i tell them all the mechanics, i stop there, whereas if it was backseating, i'd also tell them where to go, what to do, when to roll, etc etc...).
The timing on this video could not be better! I was literally just watching your old videos last night and was wondering when this was gonna be posted.

At the first time with Gundyr, I'm actually impressed with her skill at dodging and hitting. I thought she can pass Gundyr the first time, but eventually, she ended like me, die like 20 times try to get past the first boss in this game. SOO FUNNy
Also I think it’s totally fine that she summoned help. That’s why I always say Dark Souls doesn’t actually need an easy mode button. The easy mode is right there in the community. It’s a much better alternative than just selecting “Easy” on the main menu. It’s almost like Miyazaki and FromSoft are the big bad villains laughing as we die over and over. We think, “Well fine! We’ll just team up and win! Bet you didn’t plan for that with your challenge!” …except they did. It’s all a clever ruse. The reason they pretend to want us to die over and over again is because it creates a shared sense of overcoming obstacles that makes us want to help others struggling where we once did. It’s a great feeling being able to help somebody overcome a boss you hated fighting alone.
I don't think coop summons are a replacement for difficulty settings. Normally, you'd have the difference between fighting an easier and harder version of the boss fight. Player summons give you the choice between fighting the hard version and letting someone else do it for you. Spirit ashes are closer to a pseudo difficulty setting imo, since the ash will make fighting easier for you but (usually) won't be capable of killing the boss on its own.
Great video! And I recognized that Edith Finch music! My girlfriend and I just replayed and got all the trophies for it the other day. What an awesome game!! 😛

I’m still on my first play through, my friend begged me to get dark souls 3. after not being able to beat the tutorial boss I went back and fucking MURKED the crystal lizard first try. Edit, holy shit I also switched to a pyromancer to beat him . LMFAO
Dark Souls 3 was my first Soulsborne experience.. I spent a long time figuring out what the Firekeeper meant by "produce the coiled sword at the bonfire". I couldn't see a bonfire. I didn't have a coiled sword (well, I did, but I didn't remember the "Remove coiled sword" from the hour or so prior to Iudex kicking my ass). Also you do have to stand in a fairly particular spot to get the option which says "Produce coiled sword", so it wasn't even like I was having a good time accidentally stumbling upon the bonfire.
Having to fast travel out of Firelink threw me off the first time. It feels so… wrong. I placed the coiled sword, then spent far too long looking around outside for a path forward. I eventually sat down at the bonfire in frustration, planning to teleport back to fight the Crystal Lizard, when I saw High Wall was an option. I still hate that Firelink isn’t connected to the rest of the game. And then Undead Settlement isn’t connected to High Wall, immediately afterwards. I could hardly believe it. And then proceeded along the straight line of a map (with dead end detours along the way). DS1 had such an intricately interconnected map. DS2 starts you at the center of a wheel, and you can tackle each spoke in any order. DS3 probably has th worst overall map design. Individual areas can be well designed, but as a whole, it’s a railroad.
It's just really weird and awkward to teleport to a place you never visited when the other two games only let you teleport to areas you have already been to
I am REALLY impressed by her progress, I've always played video games and ds3 was rough to learn having never played any souls games. It's really interesting to see her completely unbiased reactions to every thing and how good her understanding has become over just a few games
The best thing about the Souls-games IMO is that all of them teach you how to play, without saying it loudly. Awards your courage for exploring. Really entertaining watching and listen to new players of Dark Souls!

As much as I love the Souls series, I always hated that. Your attacks get stuck in the walls, but the enemys don't. I think that's not fair. You need to think carefully about that, but they can ignore it. It's like they play by the same rules as you, except for this.
I fucking hate that wall

Never thought to use the dragon to kill the lothric knight
Same! At least I started practicing parries with him xD
@Chris Stecko
You can’t kill him that early on.
The maniacal laughter at 13:54 perfectly encapsulates the feeling of finally beating a difficult Dark Souls boss.
Both of your laughs start sounding progressively more darksouls like throughout the video
They're going hollow
Im glad to hear her laugh and have a good time overall with it. That's always a plus.
Your friend can do it!
Tell him to kill the copy when its being spawned in
You mean pontiff or the crystal sages? Because I'm colourblind and I still can't see the colour difference
I love dark souls and I am mildly colorblind I'm down to game if you are
Hot take. I think all games should have varying degrees of selectable difficulty. Souls games included.
@@nexus6100 no because it dumbs down the experience and what the foundation of the souls games are. Extremely tough but fair.

I think it's quite impressive how much fun she had and how she learned to apply knowledge gathered from previous games.
That's a lot of progress she made there. I entered the DS series with DS 3 and had a LOT more problems at the beginning -
maybe because I have encountered more enemies face to face instead of running past them ^^
Same but i also chose the magician
Man legit same. I had no idea and I took pyromancer
yeah fr, when i learned that i could just run from some enemies i was so frustrated because i was terrible at fighting that i just started speedrunning the game, what leaded me to have no souls in advanced areas
It probably sounds like a very normal story to everyone but it was my second console game ever and my first souls game so I barely knew how to use the controller, I'm pretty proud of that
@@hemantsingh5418 bro i think that the best class you can start with in ds3 is pyromance while the worst is magician not counting the depraved

She couldn't even beat Vordt without OP summons. It would be boring watching her get to every boss and just summoning instead of working hard for the wins. It would be mildly entertaining inbetween bosses though I will give you that XD.

“Fast” is the first word that comes to mind when I think of dark souls 3. I played all three games in a row (the fact that I managed to get through 2 still amazes me) but when I started up DS3 … the speed of everything was a major selling point for me
"Boohoo DS2 bad"

None of you have acknowledged my Licence to Chill joke and that's okay.
Because vordt is ice? I woulda said “warm up” because she’s delaying the cold
Ey it would be a lot of fun seeing the noobus play through a whole souls-game now that she has some knowledge of the games. If she wants of course!
Ever consider having her try Monster Hunter?
That joke surely broke the ice before the vordt battle
The firelink shrine isn't the same as in ds1. If you play the ringed city dlc and fight the demon princes', their boss arena is the location of ds1's main hub.
That dancer part is absolutely hilarious 😂 I remember my first time with this boss
I'd love to see a game where both of you are playing together. Your interactions are hilarious and so entertaining.

"Look at those dodges, it's like ballet"
Having never seen ballet, I'll take your word for it.
My fiancee, who i got to play DS with her game experience basically being AC and MC, who used to dance ballet, did actually make the same comparison.
as someone VERY new to souls games as well (not completely, i grew up watching my brother play them) watching your girlfriend get better and better at this genuinely gives me hope for my own games lol. it also makes me feel like a proud mother. watching her rolling through the i frames for the first time made me genuinely excited.
11:15 you say "7 stages of grief" the go on to list all 5 of them, lol.
She spent a REALLY long time on anger though
Her awkward interaction with the summons are the most wholesome thing I ever seen, just so sweet
I had no idea the fireball would shred that boss so easily that’s amazing
It's even better if you target the darkness, it has it's own lock on, but you can also stand behind Gundier and rake his ass. Pyromancer's has the best options for either strat.
I used the charged weapon art for the axe to kill him first time I killed him and it felt great
The moment I understood the game was good was on my second playthrough.
EDIT:
i'M 100% SATISFIED with how she won!
@@floreroafloreril1458 Actually I'd say that after Gundyr DS3 Has a pretty big drop in quality until the Cathedral of the deep(Farron keep can, in fact, die in a hole). farron keep is not that bad. you bearly even walk though the swamp its self.

keeping in mind that dirt = path you keep following the safe dirt that leads to the third candle opening the door.
this is what i did when i first went into this area with out looking at a guide. now as a newbie who is playing ds 3 as there first game exploration was encouraged on the frist few areas but this areas discourgage's that due to the slow walking sawmp so i do consider that a design flaw and i recken they should of added a ring to remove the slow movement like the rusted ring in ds 1 at the cathedral of the deep that is easy to find

Your banter and laughing are so genuine! This made my day perfect. Thank you for being you! Both of you :)
My favorite of the series.
I desperately wanna see her take on darkeater Midir someday.
nameless king
@Chris Stecko well each person struggles with different bosses
I struggled with abyss watchers due to not really knowing what backstabs were and how good they are
Despite the fact I've beaten the game probably 15 times, Midir still manages to slaughter me over and over and over and over and...you get the point.
Everything is fair in Dark Souls
lmao, wasn't expecting the 3shot.
"...believing that faster only applied to her ..."
*Oh no* , I made that mistake as well since I hadn't played Bloodborne and thought "faster" means easier killing .
These videos are deserving of as much appreciation as Rasbuten's, both equally as great, and both extremely entertaining series
"methodical slashing"? Can literally hear the mashing lmaoo

@@Kazuhiro-i i-frames are a mechanic that is key component of the gameplay that even gets explicitly mentiioned in ds2's stat screen(under adaptability/agility) and in the carthus bloodring in ds3, but never anywhere else.
as for why i'd explain it? it's not because "it's the better way", but simply because i consider it a fault of these games that they don't tell you in a tutorial(in this case, the devs messages) how these mechanics actually work, however;
you're free to disagree with me, even if all the times i've been to the side of someone during a blind playthrough and helped, i've never had any of this sort of issue with backseating, explaining the mechanics is far from directing and telling a person which way to play(which is different from teaching how to play, once i tell them all the mechanics, i stop there, whereas if it was backseating, i'd also tell them where to go, what to do, when to roll, etc etc...).

Bet you didn’t plan for that with your challenge!”
…except they did.

That first Gundyr fight was suprisingly good O.O The adjustment to the dodges mid-fight to the right direction was jaw dropping.
The greatest enemy in any FromSoftware game is one's anxiety, causing them to freak out, and unwillingness to persevere through adversity.
I loved the Sims music on the background, the buy-screen music even :,) Video quality is going up, well done! And that first tutorial boss-fight, my my, what skills in the rolling!
I thought she did pretty well considering that she just played through the beginning of the other games. Summoning for Vordt was a pretty good idea and as you alreay mentionen kinda is the easy mode for dark souls games.
This game and Bloodborne are on my top favorite all time video games. Put in about 260+ hours into DS3 and starting NG+2 where pretty much need to use my strongest maxed out weapons and great magic shield on heavy shields for protection. Such an addicting game
I made something similar to my little brother(11 years old) with dark souls 1 remastered. I told him the rules, he accepted them, and he got angry. Then I saw him the way fo killing the tutorial boss, he died so nearly to beat the tutorial that he said to me "Uninstall DS1 that it can´t be install again". Sadly he didn´t continue.

The “bond in Amsterdam” joke made me subscribe.
Same thing happened to me
It's just really weird and awkward to teleport to a place you never visited when the other two games only let you teleport to areas you have already been to
I am REALLY impressed by her progress, I've always played video games and ds3 was rough to learn having never played any souls games. It's really interesting to see her completely unbiased reactions to every thing and how good her understanding has become over just a few games
Waiting for the "I Made My Boyfriend Play The Sims 4"
The best thing about the Souls-games IMO is that all of them teach you how to play, without saying it loudly. Awards your courage for exploring. Really entertaining watching and listen to new players of Dark Souls!
