@@RatBoyDunce The fact the game accounts for those uses of those spells is crazy to me ngl. It means NPC reactions would need to take into account sight, sound and proximity rather than all acting off of one alert status. Most games don't put much though into NPC reactions like that, they all aggro as and when something triggers one NPC - like the infamous villager attacks and bounty for hitting a chicken in Skyrim.
So many games make silence some unexplained anti-magic field so it's a nice way to be reminded it actually just shuts you up so you can't say the spell incantations, simple as. Might not be a spell but "please help they're beating me up in here" sure requires mouth noises too.

"You don't have to kill everyone in the goblin camp." On my first playthrough, I failed a single check in dialogue and decided to lay siege to the camp. There was no strategy, just brute force, and it worked. I missed out on so much dialogue, but I had so much much fun going full murder-hobo on the bad guys. Plus, it all fit thematically because my character was a goodie two shoes barbarian, I wouldn't deceive those goblins, just smash their faces.
Honestly would love to watch her play the rest of the game. The joy of discovery and finding clever ways to solve problems only to have it devolve into murdering everything is why this game is so great, and its nearly as great watching someone else do it the first time as it is to have done it myself.
She has the same attitude towards Astarion and Gale that I did my first run. I hated that smarmy little vampire ass and loved the dapper polite Gale. 40 hours later I totally flipped lol.
I only warmed up to Astarion about 150 hours in. 😂 I doubt I would have at all if I hadn't gotten Lae'zel perma-killed in Act 1 and replaced her with him in my party. It was the mere exposure effect.
Bro I can't even imagine how long it took you to make subtitles for most of the things you and your wife said for this hour and 40 minute video. Major respect. 👍
This is in my rotation of "comfort videos," i.e. the videos that I rewatch regularly because they're: 1. Well-recorded, well-edited, well-presented, etc 2. Covering a topic I know well so I feel at home with the material, 3. Interesting/funny *and* unobtrusive, such that I can watch them on the main monitor, or have them in the headphones while I take out the trash. A+ work all around! Best to the both of you (and any editing/production folks/mods who help out!)
My girlfriend doesn't play any games, but we played Baldur's Gate 3 together in splitscreen. She's now completely in love with the game and we're in Act 3 of our 2nd playthrough. Funny enough, she played a Druid too.
Man I hope she keeps playing! It’d be fun to see her do an entire playthrough- I’m several hundred hours into the game, and her commentary/reactions are hilarious! 😂
1:37:55 I mean Goblin Camp is like half of Act I, without counting and the Gith section but TRUE Omg It's so cool she stayed for so long. I also found it funny that she left Halsin behind. Having a bear is useful during slaughter. 😂
Well... even less than that. There's 3 whole maps of Act 1 (main, underdark, creche/mountain pass) and the goblin camp isn't even close to the whole of that 1st map. Act 1 took me a bit over 70hrs to finish and the goblins were maybe only 10-15 of those hours. No mention of Voss, the Hag, Z hideout, or Withers, much less all the secrets in the goblin village/camp. She still got pretty far though. I'd guess she played maybe 15-20 hours of content, with 3-5 more of reloads from failures. Pretty good for never having touched the game and how frustrating it is to learn it.
@@violetpatina708 Goblin camp took me a LOT of time. But I think I spent more time in The Grove because I was just learning how to steal everything lol. I was terrible at it at first, but now I'm in act 3 and stealing everything with just a fog spell!

I dont know if Astarians smooth talking skills is so great that it worked on the vast majority of players aswell becouse u can clearly se those red eyes and the fangs when he talk and still ppl failed to notice he was a vampire. Its almost like the game purposely zoom in on hes face when he talks to say look hes a vampire and still nobody noticed.
It's *really* weird to me that anyone misses it. The game is pretty much screaming it from the rooftops every moment he's on the screen. I don't think they could make it any more obvious without giving him a t-shirt that says "lol I'm secretly a vampire" across the chest.
By far the Most Entertaining playthrough of Act 1 I've Ever Watched. I loved the editing and also the way her personality shown through her play style. Good fun.
Good to see another Scottish couple playing xD I've been playing since EA release and I got my wife into it on full release and she loved it (she's in all 3 of my dnd campaigns so at least she had a grasp of the mechanics). We did a very similar thing where I quietly watched her play it and it was such an experience, she actually finished her first playthrough before I did xD
As someone who's got the game down to a science when it comes to picking options over roleplaying and things like that, this was fun to see. I remember talking to pretty much every person and animal I could find in those first few playthroughs. A fun watch, even at the length of en entire movie. Cheers to you both.
You can get the circlet off of Nettie's body. (The gnome that is knocked out in the nearby cave also has the same circlet. Save him from the goblins, loot his body before he awakes, and boom - you have the circlet. It helps you get to the grove from the back door in Nettie's back room.)

This has to be one of the most entertaining Baldur's Gate 3 videos I've ever watched! Absolutely fantastic montages! Felt like a feature film! I'd definitely watch another like this!
54:38 I'm glad your wife actually played the way she played, nothing makes me hate someone more than playing a game blind on their first playthrough and playing how you described it, and complaining that they don't get the story.
That was fantastic; shame there aren't seven more episodes of this. Particularly well done on the montages mate, and your wife is a lovely character in her own right.
Your wife not realizing Astarion was a vampire makes my feel less bad about being so surprised when he tried to suck my blood. Because in hindsight I was like ohhhh this is obvious.
There's a lot of tension between Shady and Bae'zel, reason being Shadowheart literally just lost her entire team to Gith. Gith are also assholes by nature. Their relationship dynamic makes the game even more exciting. Spoiler: One of my favourite parts of their friendship is when Shadowbae spares Nightsong and Lae'zel says something like, "you might be surprised to hear this, but my heart pains for Shadowheart". They're good friends in my playthroughs and I love both of these characters ion my squad.
omggggg you have NO idea how excited I was to see this upload in my notifs! This was by far my favorite game of last year, and to see such a long video dedicated to it and featuring Mrs Noobus is a wonderful treat!
Baldur's Gate 3 is truly amazing on the many ways it lets you roleplay your way through it. For example, my first playthrough I decided I wanted to be an half-orc barbarian. Therefore, I was the hammer and all the world was composed of nails. Seeing this, and how far she got with so little combat is such an antithesis of my first experience with this game... 😂
I've been really impressed by the montages in this one. The music and the talking is perfectly balanced, the joke an comments come it and exactly the right time to match the music. Just really well done. Good Job!
As someone who mostly played The Sims (not 4) until I randomly decided to get BG3 when it came out, I'm glad UA-cam recommended this video to me. Your wife is a delight! And Snow Black is a hero. I'd watch her continue the story, if she wanted to, but man, I always feel a little sad turning that wonderful magic-eating wizard down!
Great job findin' a happy middleground with the combat montages. Mrs. Zanders' one liners are top-notch & the bits of action are pretty good considering the genre's lack of theatrics and whatnot.
I love how creative many of her solutions were. I'm always somewhat willing to jump into combat, even with high charisma characters, so I didn't know about many of the options she found.
I love watching blind playthroighs of BG3 but it can be a little tedious too. Your wife's commentary and your editing are absolutely fantastic! Such a delight.
This is a very interesting video to come back to after watching Razbuten's recent upload! They provide really nice contrast as the two ladies had very different experience and impressions of the game. Love this video, will definitely see if your wife has tried any of the other games I know/like)
Every new game is a learning curve. Even as a BG2 player this was a big curve for me. You really have to be motivated and invested in order to overcome the frustrations. BG3 rewards exploration and taking wacky choices. That's not for everyone.

"You don't have to kill everyone in the goblin camp."
On my first playthrough, I failed a single check in dialogue and decided to lay siege to the camp.
They both grow on you, like carbuncles :D.
Bro I can't even imagine how long it took you to make subtitles for most of the things you and your wife said for this hour and 40 minute video. Major respect. 👍
This is in my rotation of "comfort videos," i.e. the videos that I rewatch regularly because they're:
1. Well-recorded, well-edited, well-presented, etc
2. Covering a topic I know well so I feel at home with the material,
Good games connect 😊
Have fun together 🥰
Druid is honestly such a GREAT class, man. Might be my favorite along with ranger.
I love how inventive the Noobus was in this game. Playing BG3 like it's D&D 2nd edition: Fighting bad, clever thinking good!
How is the goblin camp half of act 1 when the underdark exists? The town, swamp, and road all have quite a bit to them too.
Well... even less than that.
I play this game with my son. We plan to do a playthrough where one of us is Tav, the other Durge, and recruit no companions except for two of Withers' puppets.
This might be the best editing you've ever done. Love this.
seen a couple of these gf/wife tries video games videos from other youtubers but haven't really been that interesting but this one had me hooked from the start your wife is hilarious and your genuine laughter just adds so much to the mood also the editing was on point you kept it very interesting from start to end
its funny that she also pronounces wyll as 'while' it just feels better somehow
That musical edit on the nautiloid was so clean
Snow Black with a dwarf guardian 🤣🤣🤣
He's seen some shit
This brought me absolute joy today. Hearing you and your wife enjoy this game warmed my heart. So glad you could enjoy this game together.
Monty the editing over the fight scenes is excellent here
By far the Most Entertaining playthrough of Act 1 I've Ever Watched.
24:45 Her maniacal laugh as the goblin is screaming from being burned alive was slightly concerning.
Congrats on your marriage 😅😂
"who's your favorite"
"karlach"
"you've only just met her!"
"yes"
sooo real
As someone who's got the game down to a science when it comes to picking options over roleplaying and things like that, this was fun to see. I remember talking to pretty much every person and animal I could find in those first few playthroughs. A fun watch, even at the length of en entire movie. Cheers to you both.
Me and my wife were so HYPED for this episode! It's great to see the Noobus enjoy this one
You can get the circlet off of Nettie's body. (The gnome that is knocked out in the nearby cave also has the same circlet. Save him from the goblins, loot his body before he awakes, and boom - you have the circlet. It helps you get to the grove from the back door in Nettie's back room.)
Another episode featuring the rare Noobus Humanus! Missed you guys
I usually dont go for watching people play games. Id rather play them myself. But last night had issues with my computer, so while I was uploading stuff on new computer I watched this, and found myself hooked to finishing the video. My internet went down so had to wait till this morning to finish it, but that was great.. Way to edit, and love her voice durring the video. Made it all perfect.. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Absolutely loved this new Noobus Humanus episode. My heart skipped a beat when I heard the FF8 battle music. Loved the editing in general but the fight edits were absolutely outstanding, the comedic timing, the music... it's just perfect. Also congrats to you two for finally being husband and wife :) I wish you all the best for the future!
I never played a game that genuinely let me ROLE PLAY like BG3. I loved Skyrim when I was younger but never has an RPG encouraged my shenanigans like this one.
Only an hour in your first char creation session? Impressive.
Wow, this was really well made. The music and montages were *chef's kiss*
This editting is S-tier. Subscribed
This has to be one of the most entertaining Baldur's Gate 3 videos I've ever watched! Absolutely fantastic montages! Felt like a feature film! I'd definitely watch another like this!
What an utterly charming video. Very much enjoyed watching the wife learn the game and how they interacted was adorable.
Being able to kill the harpies first try @lvl like 3 is crazy..
Then like 5 hours later not being able to kill Prietest gut first round is insane 😂
Your wife not realizing Astarion was a vampire makes my feel less bad about being so surprised when he tried to suck my blood. Because in hindsight I was like ohhhh this is obvious.
This was great! Your wife is absolutely delightful, and is the perfect driver for Snow Black lol.
now I just want more BG3 with Noobus
The Final Fantasy 7 battle theme is a great choice. Pure gold. 😎
There's a lot of tension between Shady and Bae'zel, reason being Shadowheart literally just lost her entire team to Gith. Gith are also assholes by nature. Their relationship dynamic makes the game even more exciting.
Spoiler:
One of my favourite parts of their friendship is when Shadowbae spares Nightsong and Lae'zel says something like, "you might be surprised to hear this, but my heart pains for Shadowheart".
Okay your wife is super adorable, glad you made her play this game! This is hopefully a trend on this channel!
That was BRILLIANT! I laughed SO many times. Your wife is an absolute riot and your editing is hilariously perfect. Great work!
I've been really impressed by the montages in this one. The music and the talking is perfectly balanced, the joke an comments come it and exactly the right time to match the music. Just really well done. Good Job!
I like to thank you for all your videos and love to see two people enjoying playing games together
This was brilliant. Love the editing and the music. If you can convince her to do a part 2, I feel she really enjoy it even more.
I adore Baldurs Gate 3, I’m so pleased the Noobus had a great time with it. Thanks for doing such a long video!
As someone who mostly played The Sims (not 4) until I randomly decided to get BG3 when it came out, I'm glad UA-cam recommended this video to me. Your wife is a delight! And Snow Black is a hero. I'd watch her continue the story, if she wanted to, but man, I always feel a little sad turning that wonderful magic-eating wizard down!
the thinking process to name the character made me laugh more than a should. congrats. 😅
Ohh... I loved your wife's description of all characters she's met at around 1:07:00 mark. Bang on. 😆
I’d watch a whole series of this to the end of the game, you noobus is so funny I love her
I love watching blind playthroighs of BG3 but it can be a little tedious too. Your wife's commentary and your editing are absolutely fantastic! Such a delight.
This is a very interesting video to come back to after watching Razbuten's recent upload!
They provide really nice contrast as the two ladies had very different experience and impressions of the game.
Love this video, will definitely see if your wife has tried any of the other games I know/like)
Great work on this! Loved the music and editing. It was a very compelling watch.
Every new game is a learning curve. Even as a BG2 player this was a big curve for me. You really have to be motivated and invested in order to overcome the frustrations. BG3 rewards exploration and taking wacky choices. That's not for everyone.
the montage editing was on point. always love seeing new videos here
49:38 The first impression descriptions are so funny. And having to psych yourself up to talk to Bae'zel is a real struggle. 🤣🤣
This video is such a treat, thank you for continuing the Noobus Humanus saga!
You end up with withers even if you don't "find" him. He shows up at camp anyway.
oh my god, i loved her description of the entire party. so accurate 🤣
The way these videos have been edited is amazing! So entertaining. :) And I love seeing Noobus learning and exploring through BG3. Great video!
