Only Ricky could get Patrick to talk about knickers falling off 😂😂 it goes down towards one of the reasons why Ricky is my favorite comedian of all time….he envisioned this and a visionary is the true definition of an artist of any type, and comedy is art
The amount they used the star of each episode was dependant on said star’s availability. Sam Jackson basically popped in for an afternoon and did his usual one take n done lol.
Just so you know Damon Beasley is the guy behind inbetweeners, he used to work with Ricky and when he left to do his own thing. Ricky called this character his name and made him as kamp as he could to troll Damon. Just for fun of course :)
Just discovered your channel. You watch English shows I love! I'm from Australia (yes we have some weird ass comedies!) and not many people here have even heard of Extras. There is an American comedy that makes me laugh a lot and I have re-watched it a number of times. It's called Portlandia. Fred Armisen is a legend. I wonder if you have watched it? Anyhoo, I'm really enjoying watching your vids with you. You are awesome! Thank you :)
A big plot-hole in Extras is that in a later episode, Maggie is on-set with Orlando Bloom, and talks about how she's not into him and doesn't find him attractive, yet in this episode you can see that she likes him enough to have a poster of him on her wall. Apparently, this is because the person they had planned on having as the 'heart-throb' actor was actually Leonardo DiCaprio, but despite their best efforts, they couldn't get him, and in the end had to settle for Orlando Bloom.
I should imagine appearance time is linked to an actors availability. Samuel L Jackson is a massive global star and he probably had limited time in U.K. whereas Patrick Stewart lives here.
Extras is very good, but Maggie's character isn't believable. Ashley Jensen is clearly of well-above-average looks, despite attempts to give her a makeunder. Also, her being socially inept wouldn't be an obstacle to her getting laid.
Ricky's character may be clumsy as opposed to actually homophobic, though Ricky himself in 2019 stand-up was doing material which could only be read as transphobic. Being trans myself, this was the point I stopped paying attention to his new work. I suspect he works from a basis of if he thinks it he is right and can express regardless and why would anyone take offence as it is 'comedy'. This is a perverse form of entitlement. Ricky should be seen as an irelivence due to this.
I wonder if you care about every group offended by any comedic material or if its just when it relates to you. I dont even have to go into whether his joke (which has nothing to do with hating trans people and which trans was the topic not the punchline) is transphobic.
I really don't think that Ricky Gervais is prejudice at all, to any group. although he can be a bit close to the line at times, just remember they are only jokes.
"Rotted off"...gets me every time!
LOL that was great =]

He’s a genius
Ricky is awesome and Patrick Stewart was great in this.
I love that he's basically pitching The Office essentially
I’d like to see ‘when the whistle blows’ made into a full series. It would be shit and brilliant.
I love this show. The David Bowie episode kills me.
The outtakes of this scene are hilarious
I will have to check those out thanks bud!
The last segment was filmed at Shepperton studios, just in case anyone is interested.
Thanks for the info bud!
"I've seen it all" Love it how Patrick Stewart, Les Dennis and others totally commit to this, excellent sports.
I agree they were so awesome.
The bloopers of this scene are amazing!
Awesome bud I will check those out.
What a show, even better watching along with you Josh
Thank you I appreciate that!
Josh imagine yourself standing in the middle of a football stadium full of fans. Imagine thinking this many people follow me. Great work man. 👍

Best kind of TV humour is when you get a serious actor , acting comedy in a serious way. Good example is Airplane.
Wow, this is Ace, Patrick Stewart grew up half a mile down the road from where I live in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, uk 💖
Saw him in Huddersfield uni
Oh wow that is so awesome!
He named the producers after friends and real life producers, Iain Morris and Damien Beesley (creators of The Inbetweeners) 😆
Ok awesome thanks for the info bud!
Just so you know Damon Beasley is the guy behind inbetweeners, he used to work with Ricky and when he left to do his own thing. Ricky called this character his name and made him as kamp as he could to troll Damon. Just for fun of course :)
Ah mate, watch the bloopers of this scene, it's hilarious 😂
I will for sure check those out bud.
Reducing Patrick Stewart to some shallow "sex pest", comedy genius!

Never be around anyone who tries to change how you are.
The bloopers for the “you are aware I’m gay” are hysterical

The funny thing about Patrick Stewart’s fictional character is it’s exactly the same as Professor X, lol
LOL

Gervais said they only had Samuel for a day or two and it was about a month before the proper started filming so it was a bit restricted
Oh ok well they did a great job either way!
@@AfterWorkReactions ye agreed! Superb episode
You have to see the out takes of this episode it's hilarious!!
I will check those out soon!
@@AfterWorkReactions sweet I can't wait!!
Joooosh! You need to watch the bloopers from this trailer scene, if you haven’t already :)
Maggie can't lie!!!
They are good friends. She's in his latest series, AfterLife.
I want to know the total amount of outtakes that span the series. I'm thinking 6 figures lol
LOL I bet a ton!
You’ve gotta do the Daniel Radcliffe one, kills me every single time 🤣
I am watching them all in order bud!
oh but it's too late... i've seen everything
💯
Brilliant 👍
Make it so...
Met Patrick Stewart at Star Trek convention!!!😍
That is awesome =]
Is the show he's trying to pitch The Office?
No.It's pitching "When the whistle blows" which is featured in the next series.

My usual first question to the Ladies is "Are you ept or inept ? ". If they give the wrong answer it's a deal breaker, unfortunately..
WORST AGENT EVER!!!!!!

How bout you toughen up buttercup
Wow, you're trans. That's amazing. Please tell us more. Oh, no, wait. Nobody cares.
