Europe is a Swedish rock band formed in Upplands Väsby in 1979, by frontman Joey Tempest, guitarist John Norum, bassist Peter Olsson, and drummer Tony Reno. Tempest, great name for a frontman - is so underrated, never mentioned much in the metal/hard rock voices. Check out "Rock the Night" or "Cherokee" - with Carrie and the Final Countdown, The Final Countdown album was so good.

Wow. One of my favorite rock ballad. Joey tempest Is an amazing singer and song writer. The band is still alive. This year they are celebrating 40 years. Big tour and a tv special show. Ive seen them many times over the years. Great live band. Ive never been disapointed. Joeys voice is not as high pitch anymore but he still delivers fantastic vocals pusching 60yo. This was my first make out song. Never got to second base though.

[Although, they did feature some great guitarists waxing their surfboards on useless material. John Norum??? 🤘🤘can't dis on him. Nope!! -His solo material is better than the majority of Europe's band material, though. I always respected Norum for leaving the band (at the HEIGHT of their success, essentially!) because they became overly teenybopper-oriented and keyboard-laden. Respect, John! 🤘🤘🤘🤘 Kee Marcello (although he was never a favorite of mine, personally) was pretty good, too. -I just can't stand the era of the band he (in majority) presided over (and his overall musical sensibilities don't impress me. 🤷🤷)]
