hands down the best song of this CD. Please try also "prisoners in paradise". it's their last good song. very underrated because everyone thinks Europe=The Final Countdown
That at the beginning of the song that you heard, it's Ian Haugland the drummer saying "Nu ska vi spela" In swedish. It means " Now we're going to play" 😊
back when music still had musicians that actually played instruments. The days of the superbands are ending regrettably and the rise of digital solo artists synthesizing sound has come.
Love this, Chod! Stunned to see it. Go for the IROC and the cassette deck! Finally I find a reacter listening to Europe deep cuts. Totally with you bro on this band. Trust me on this list for them dude. Just record these somewhere and refer to it when you want to hear more Europe. I'm a big fan and I won't steer you wrong. I like all of these. In no particular order, though the older ones are near the top: "Open Your Heart", "Never Say Die", "Sign of the Times", "Time Has Come", "On the Loose", "Heart of Stone"; "Girl From Lebanon", "Stormwind" (which was even before Final Countdown); "Seventh Sign", "Halfway to Heaven", "Forever Traveling", "Always the Pretenders", "A Mother's Son", "Devil Sings the Blues", "Spirit of the Underdog", "Sucker". With this list you will have excellent Europe songs for the next year or more! Enjoy, bro.
Now you need to do a newer Europe song. Last Look at Eden, not supposed to sing the blues, & walk the earth. Those are good starts on the newer Europe.
Check out "America", the whole "Secret Society"-album or the last two "War of kings" and "Walk the Earth" - there is a lot of good stuff to find there 👌🤘
I love Europe. I have this album. If you like rock/blues, you have to check out Europe 'In My Time'. Great ballads and even greater guitar work. You guys will definitely love it.
Mic Michaeli (keyboards) played keyboards and synthesizers (and co-wrote the single 'Carrie'), even though the songs were all written by singer Joey Tempest. First 5 Europe albums are still the best... 'Europe' (1983), 'Wings of tomorrow' (1984), 'The Final Countdown' (1986), 'Out of this world' (1988) and 'Prisoners in paradise' (1991)... ...they changed a bit after the 2004 reunion.
“Last look at eden” and “New love in town” are great songs two of their newer stuff But the final countdown and out of the world are albums great from start to finish
I knew you would love this song... and yes Cassette and boom box for authentic 80's. Everywhere I went the summer this came out cars and guys carrying boombox's blasting this
Great reaction guys! That song was 🔥🔥🔥 It's based on real historical events regarding the Cherokee nation. In 1838 the tribe was forcibly relocated by the US government to what is now Oklahoma. Some 4,000 died along the way. Thus the name, Trail Of Tears. Europe's lead singer, Joey Tempest wrote it after reading a book about the Cherokee nation.
The Trail of Tears was an ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of approximately 60,000 people of the "Five Civilized Tribes" between 1830 and 1850 by the United States government. I would be really curious to know what percentage of Americans have any clue about this event or many others in their past 🤔
Actually Singn of times from Europe has been covered bynTommy Johansson , guitarist in Sabaton and singer and Guitarist in Majestica just a couple of weeks ago ..its really good ( and so is Tommy . Lots to discover there) .. could be intresting to check out 😉
I seem to be late to the party....But have you allready reacted to Europed legendary musicvideo to the song "Rock the Night?"... the one when the band enters a Hard Rock Café and taking over the place
Whilst I love this album, I think their material over the last 15 years or so is much better, showing more maturity which I guess is natural as they're getting older. Seen them live many times & will be going to their 40th anniversary tour this year.
Great reaction to a great song. Europe was very unlucky when they were about to record the follow up album to Out of this world. All things were set with Bob Rock to start recording when a group called Metallica showed up. And they had to postpone the album for quite a while. When their next album came out, hard rock was dead and Grunge was in... That album has some nice tracks though. Check out Halfway to Heaven or Girl from Lebanon
Part of this song reminded me of Rainbow's "Since You've Been Gone". I'm not comparing them. Someone also mentioned you might like Dokken. I second that. I think you might like "Into the Fire". As for an 80s car you might also consider a car from the 70s. I don't think new cars were so easy to buy in those days. I remember buying used cars that were sometimes from the 70s and they were easier to work on. So I was told. Also make sure you have a wooden pencil for the cassette tape, sometimes cassette players get hungry.
Search more..amazing band and now a days 11 albums but the USA industry dont make anithing now of good music..only satanic garbach..but they won sweden grammi for best rock album lately...the singer have one of the most powefull voice of lyric tenor natural tuned...
I'll let you slide on the pronunciation of Cherokee, but this song is about the white man taking the land from my tribe and doing nothing for them even to today. But the reaction was good
Well. You dont seem that intereated to what people ask for .Thats a shame. Seriously there are a lot Europe fans here. And a lot of knowledge about them.
Im thinking, you need to go back to the debut album and listen to seven Doors hotel. Except from that their strongest album is wings of tomorrow" so you have a lit to discover still😊
Ninja LIVE from this Album is a MUST!~ Blows the Album version away~
hands down the best song of this CD. Please try also "prisoners in paradise". it's their last good song. very underrated because everyone thinks Europe=The Final Countdown
Great Band, great Album, great Fans 🤩
Others to check out are "On Broken Wings", "Stormwind" ,"Ready Or Not", Seventh Sign"

Joey Tempest first soloalbum is really good. A Place To Call Home.

Europe is still playing and making albums now
And even better with the pass of time
Not only a great song , but also a history lesson..❤
I always hoped this song would open some peoples eyes into the past, and what we must not repeat as humans. 😢

John Norum played with Dokken for a while, so there's a connection between Europe and Dokken.
They were the best 86to 92
