    When people ask me my name, I give it to them. I follow that, always, with "That's the person I used to be." BEFORE PSYCHIATRY SO DESTROYED ME THAT NO ONE WOULD RECOGNIZE ME AS THE PERSON THEY KNEW. LITERALLY. SEVERE PHYSICAL, SOUL SHATTERING DAMAGE.

      I also had a Heart Attack, both of my hands are disabled, my fingers are profoundly numb and are essentially useless, and I almost died from a perforated colon, all due to Negligent Narcissistic providers. All In Addition to the soul shattering "Damage" that you can immediately see. You can't get a lawyer to Sue Them, because Juries have a bias In Favor of "doctors ." Don't forget the Decades of your life that you LOST.

      I feel you. I was in psych meds in my early twenties & life was such a burden because of it.
      I want to give you an advice though.
      Try out Vipassana meditation.
      I know it sounds weird, but trust me, itll change your life, if you give it a shot.
      Greetings from Germany.

    Imagine pschy doctors who are on pschy meds, and they have no idea what these meds could do to them, and they prescribe these meds to the patients until they realise they've been injured just like us,we need more doctors who have taken it and come out to speak out to advocate about the risk vs benefits, withdrawal symptoms, dosage adjustments and a mandatory protocol that patients should be assessed first through talk therapy before a prescription is required or not.

    Dr Gordon: you don't want to get off the psych med you're on due to how awful it was last time you tried, but as you said "its catching up with me" and you're already experiencing tolerance sxs. As you know you soon won't have a choice but begin to taper off. And at that point the w/ds may be "intolerable", and as you said "you have a family to think of".
    I'm in my 50s as well and have been severed damaged for a decade.. but doing much better.. and I believe a lot of my suffering could have been avoided if I had made different decisions. But please consider a micro taper for a couple to few years, as bad as it may be.. FOR your family's sake.
    I hope you receive this with love. I'm praying for you. ❤

    One question, how did the rank and file not see the bias (corruption). A second question: Why do doctors in other specialties, like rheumatologists and neurologists, not see it?
    Patients who are suffering from psych drug harm often turn up in offices of other kinds of doctors (not to mention ERs), with akathisia, auto-immune symptoms, rashes, cardiac problems, severe and sudden weight gain, on and on.
    Not only do these non-psychiatric medical professionals not recognize the psych drug damage that their patients are suffering from, these providers often send the patients *back to* psychiatry, putting them on the road to long term illness and disability. This is soul crushing for a patient.

      That happened to me. Pysch drug symptoms made me seek out a neurologist. He was dumb founded. Ran many tests which all came back fine. Told him im sure it's the Valium im on causing it, he said it's impossible. He sent me back to psychiatry. Extremely frustrating! They turn a blind eye, there's no way they don't know.

      I stopped complaining about pain.
      Best answer i got from doctors and physios was I have psychosomatic pain.....
      ..... whatever that is.....
      ... meaning they can't fix it - so u imagining it..
      .... it's pain.

    • @ShawnRKA
      @ShawnRKA 3 місяці тому

      @pauldhaasbroek it's definitely not psychosomatic lol. It's legit nerve pain. Shoot, I had electrical nerve pain, felt like acid all over eating away at my body. Made my muscles stiffen or go weak. Dr's are ridiculous, dumber than the average Joe if you ask me

      They All Know what is happening to you. Please don't kid yourself. All they have to do is look at the pharmacy records and it will become readily apparent that you are suffering from the Reckless Prescribing of your "Doctor " or Nurse Practitioner.

    the road to hell is always paved with good intentions and a large dose of self and vested interest pounded along by neoliberalism. What is staggering about Psychiatry is its history - each iteration looks back on the one before with horror at the ignorance and harms while claiming the current paradigm is science and evidenced based - each iteration leaves massive carnage behind it and this current paradigm is the most harmful yet because its global in scale and turning people with problems into patients on pills or clients in therapy is as easy as 1,2,3.

      Don't ever forget those they have caused to die from the suffering they were enduring. Those people would certainly want to prevent others from the Suffering they endured. Lastly, remember, this horrific suffering has been well known since the 60's, so never fall for the story that "they didn't know."

    I have tried several times to alert The Feds about what happened to me. You have to understand, that to even write it down would be a Severe Trauma for me. I tried to sue the two parties who were writing these prescriptions to me. One of them, they did Revoke his license last year when I reported him to The DEA. In THAT CASE IT WAS BECAUSE HE Pretended he was "Retiring." It was A LIE. When the State Revoked his license, he was still practicing. He is/was 83 ,or 84 years old. I HAD NO IDEA AT THE TIME HOW VERY DANGEROUS THAT WAS FOR ME. THE SECOND TIME, SHORTLY AFTER THAT, WAS SIMILAR, BUT NOT IDENTICAL. SO, MY ESSENTIAL DEATH WAS DUE TO TWO SEPARATE "PROVIDERS " THEY ESSENTIALLY KILLED ME.

    Hugely important information and insights. SSRI's are only 15% more effective than sugar pills. They should rarely be prescribed and for short term use only.

  • @jeffreywegener8841

    Great discussion thanks . They were a few doctors well know for overprescribing in Sydney . But now the narrative is SSRIs are safe for “ everyone “ as are tricyclics but you’re cancelled for a Valium taper . I’ll name names . But I’m got better things to do . Pardon my cynicism it’s certainly not aimed at this intelligent & informative discussion.

    Simon Wessely is one of the principal stigmatizers of the chronic illness I have, ME/CFS. Only a pretend condition, psychiatric not physical, etc., etc. Tremendous harm has been, and continues to be done, to millions of people with this disease. This dreadful, dismissive attitude that has set the tone for doctors in the UK to treat patients with very real physiological illness as lazy shirkers who just need to do a bit more. It's a genuinely wicked thing to do 😢xx

    • @incognito595
      @incognito595 3 місяці тому

      What CFS IS, IS DYSREGULATION OF THE HPA AXIS. Severe stress causes malfunction of HPA Axis. They will deny it. It's true. The cure is supplementation. More later.

    Is it ever ok to updose a small amount - like going back to your previous dose (from 1.3 ml V to 1.4 ml V when doing a 5% cut current dose every 4 weeks. Also is it ever ok to take an SSRI (like Prozac that I have taken before and never had problems with) ?

    I remember telling a therapist how I was a genius and he was insane I was labeled a diagnosis and he carried a briefcase of drugs. And he claimed he scored a higher and my answer unto him was he was a fool. He did a transfer, When they kept me for 42 days straight they wanted to give me a job they said I calmed some people minds. That’s when I discovered telepathy. And now I can write the book.,,
