Would love to see an updated video on this now that you have a child! I have 3 kids 5, 2, & 10 months. I’m just in the beginning stages of starting a candle business but I spend all Daytime just moming and do work in the evening after they are all in bed. Our weekends are usually busy just doing family stuff too so I’m struggling to find balance.

I absolutely loved this video, I have about 5 planner’s and they are exactly like you said in the beginning, the stickers the pens the markers , Omg if I can’t organize my life’s schedule I quickly realized that I cannot organize something that’s meant to he me get organized 🤣 my biggest issue is finding a planner that gives you room to write , I have a few that again I just tossed out because there’s just not viable space to write anything, so I’m on the hunt once again lol now that I’ve spent close to probably $100.00 on planners in less then a yr 🤦🏻♀️, thank you once again for sharing this and I really love the idea of leaving the planner open ❣️

Hello! Totally relate to that, I have like 5 planners sitting in my office waiting to be written! My struggle of getting a planner was that I wanted it to have it all! Like, I wanted a planner with weekly and day to day inserts and plain pages to just write whatever I wanted, without spending too much. I've also tried Notion and although it is easier than writing, I find it less engaging and I didn't really liked it.

Also, I pictured having a planner and doing the exact same thing.....I expected to have all these colors and stickers....it would be so vibrant, but that would become work and end up sitting there. I figure it like this, planning is already work because I'm not accustomed to it, so adding more would only be extra overwhelming. I feel like you were talking about me in this video. Lol

I used to be a passionate planner back in the college days and really worked out for me but after I got into working full time, I struggled to keep up and eventually stopped. Right now, I'm striving to open a business of handmade candles and more, and I'm in the testing process of candle making.. I must admit, the process and pace feel really slow, although it's been only almost 2 months.
I wanted to ask you, so this schedule is like the base of your week and you change/add some things if other stuff come up? And how do you deal with getting behind your schedule? While I try to create a realistic week schedule, I find that when I'm getting behind, I sort of give up and lose control.

How long did it take for you to go full time with you business? I want to leave my job and start my candle business so bad
I knew I wouldn’t be able to live off of my candle business income solely in the beginning, so I built up multiple streams of income on the side including youtube. Overall it took years of learning and building things up. My advice would be to wait until you are sure that your business will be profitable for you to live off of. I know the temptation to quit your job can be intense, but the smart thing to do is work on growing your business while keeping your day job and saving up money on the side so you have a buffer for when you do decide to go full time 🤍
