The people who bombarded you with spoilers after saying you were enjoying Shadow and Bone can step on legos. I haven't read it, but it makes me so frustrated when people do that for books 😔😔
But this was such a neat video and I'm really enjoying watching it. I'm only 14 minutes in right now, but I had such an intense reaction to the spoilers that I had to comment lol. Getting tea before I continue on. It's rainy here so rain, tea and book talk is ❤❤❤❤
⚡️⚡️⚡️ Did I know that you talking through an insanely complex spreadsheet was exactly the comfort watching I needed today? I did not. Was it? One million percent yes! 😂❤
This was amazing! What are the chances of us getting a copy of this spreadsheet for ourselves??? Also, I built new shelves over the weekend so this was a great watch for while I was organizing shelves today so thanks for the entertainment! ⚡
I'd love to be able to do this for my books as well!
I second this, or 16th this based on the likes! I would love a copy to use
I would also love spreadsheet copies! 😅😅
Absolutely loved this video - I am a spreadsheet user but I don't 'design' them - I get my hubby to make the base (if that's the right description). But I was kind of awe struck at watching you working with this one - you were doing things I never even imagined that I would ever want or need - but now ........... (rubs hands with glee) - well done on this massive effort in making the spreadsheet, making the video and getting so many books off your shelves 👏👏👏
I really enjoyed this video! I love seeing spreadsheets of data. I need to make a similar sheet and go through my ongoing series too. ⚡️- Amy
⚡️an hour plus of you going through a spreadsheet was exactly what I needed today! No complaints about the length here haha.
I'm sure this doesn't help (because I'm sure everyone wants to tell you which series to finish first!), but I can say that I loved the last book in the Tea Dragon Society series, more than I liked the second one actually. Highly recommend picking it up! I read that entire series in a single sitting because I loved them all so much.
This was SO to my taste!⚡Books, spreadsheets and suffering? Yes, please. Loved your color-coding as well! Please keep us updated on this beast🙏🙏
I'm so jealous that you have such a good memory!!! I'm always looking up spoiler synopsies to refresh myself before I read the next new book in a series! ⚡⚡⚡
Thanks for the info about Rivers of London. I can't indulge in spendy graphic novels this year, so I will call that series complete in my head. But you remind me that I have unread volumes of Morning Glories and Locke and Key. Might be good to re-read later in the year and read those...
Percy Jackson has a 6th book coming out September 26, 2023 (for those in the US). It is called Chalice of the Gods. Was not sure if you knew.
This is an interesting idea and spreadsheet. I personally, only stick with one series before commencing another one, otherwise I probably won't get back to one of the series and then will not remember what happened and thus, probably have no motivation to finish the series. Lol. In terms of money when reading a series, this is why I spread out the books to how much I can and am willing to spend monthly on books. And if a new book for a series drops I will read it at the same as any current series I am reading. Idk if this made sense but it works for me xD
love the video! I also made my own series tracker. for the status, I created two separate columns: a reading status and series status. that way, I was able to identify the series I DNF even if the series is complete (i.e. reading status = 'DNF', series status = 'complete') or I'm caught with the series but the series is not fully published (i.e. reading status = up to date, series status = ongoing), etc.
I am BEHIND in watching videos, and I am also in awe of this spreadsheet. I need it!
By the time I got to the end of this video I've already set up and am starting to fill out my own version of this spreadsheet! Pray for me because oh my god I have so many series hahaha
The Fractured Fables books are only a duology, so you are in fact finished the series. There's going to be a bind up of both books published, but there are no more actual new stories to come. ⚡⚡
FYI, Bitter is a prequel to Pet, not a sequel, and it doesn't really follow the same characters in the way it seems you're thinking. I loved both of them, and they're actually pretty different in terms of what they focus on. I'd definitely recommend trying Bitter!
Someone who likes the Sevenwaters series! I don't see Juliett Marillier on anyone's lists and was super excited to see you had her books. Yes, as a spreadsheet nerd, I stayed until the end😁🌩
🌩💡😁 I like this spreadsheet idea! It's a great review of your reads and thoughts in one gigantic nutshell🥜.
Your intro is 100% relatable af xD I also spend my fair share of hours compiling reading spreadsheets so I loved this!⚡⚡
Oh god…. I don’t even want to think about how many series I am in the middle of 🥹
⚡⚡⚡ I was so nervous you were gonna leave us hanging and not tell us how many you had left!! Great progress and a lot of that 35 you have left are just one or two books left... You'll get that down in no time!! 🎉
I love yiur spreadsheet! So much data joy!
Otterline and Goth Girl! I LOVE Chris Riddell's art so much! You are the first booktuber who i have heard talk about his series 😃💜📚
Otterline all 4 books are great, cosy fun times
I highly recommend book 3 of Goth Girl - i pretend th 4th does not exist. 😂 but i love the world bookday novelka where she goes to Brighton 💜📚
I loved your journey, but I’m not going to put myself through it.
I hope you’ll finish a lot of these series soon. ⚡️
This was indeed the first video of yours I’ve ever watched 😂 added some series to my tbr based on your ratings of them as you went through!
⚡️⚡️⚡️ such a joy! Just read The Haunting of Avaline Jones - LOVED it! And i have Paranormal Parcel whatever its called series Soulless being first book in my radar and you have bumped it up! 😃💜📚
This was so interesting- I really enjoyed the spread sheets! And I’m sure you’ll accomplish it! ⚡️⚡️
You can do it! Also, this helped eliminate a few series I had been curious about. Thanks! Clearing out your TBR and mine!
This was actually my first video of yours, and I loved it! (I'm a spreadsheet girlie 🤓)⚡I want to make my own series spreadsheet, but I'm concerned it will be very few finished and too many half finished ones 😶
That is an amazing spreadsheet. You have encouraged me to try and create something similar for my own series tracking - hopefully I will do it justice. ⚡⚡
Before the Devil Breaks You in The Diviners series was probably my favorite in the series next to the first one. But I have not read the last one. I have tried so many times. I think it's gonna be a complete for me without the last one
OMG!!! We need to sit down somewhere near the ocean with a jug of margaritas (or two)😁🤪
My brain was waiting for the Discworld series/ sub series to come in. Love this video and all your content! ⚡️
I am a Rivers of London audiobook person too, and it sucks so much that I am going to be missing out. It really puts me off! I like graphic novels in general but the audiobook narration by Kobna was what kept me hooked on this series.
This is inspiring me to go through my series and make a list 😁 I really enjoy videos like this, would be happy to see an update at the end of the year! ⚡
I really enjoyed the video too! So many I have read/am reading/want to read. Thanks for having the patience to go through your list 😊⚡
This was fun! It's inspiring me to look at my ongoing series' and maybe pare it down to something that feels manageable. Always love your videos. 😊
wow so many. I liked to see it. I tend to read the series back to back (when they are finished, when they are not, i usually wait until they are). I'm actually currently reading In the Labirinth of Drakes by Marie Brennan because of your recomendation of the series, and being loving it.
I loved this so much - there’s a few I was like oooooo me too. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
I’m also so impressed you managed to not swap the colours for DNF and Ongoing - my brain couldn’t see them as different colours 😂😂😂
"eleventy million" 🤣 What??? A sequel to What Moves the Dead?!! Thank you for announcing this to me! I agree that it's not really needed but I'll 100% read it!
spreadsheets and pain...that's apparently what we're here for 😆⚡⚡⚡
I loved this video and was very helpful as far as contemplating any series I may want to start and invest in. I think you did a great job narrowing things down so you can delete those DNFs from you brain now.
⚡️
I’m too scared to look at series I have started in this much detail. But I loved seeing the process.
I’m obsessed with this spreadsheet and I think I need one for myself 😅 ⚡️
I also have a similar spreadsheet to this one (although mine is much smaller lol), and it's trully essencial to keep track of all the series that I'm reading
Love a good bookish spreadsheet. 😍 I really need to track open series that I'm reading. ⚡
⚡⚡ Great video! Off to make myself a spreadsheet with a fair few "new series to start".... 😬
Hey girl! Great video! Now I want a spreadsheet! Great idea! And color coding is my JAM! So my question is: Will you now go through your shelves and unhaul all of the books in the DNF series? That will free up a lot of space on your shelves if you do! Great video!
I’ve got truly devious. The curse of dark and lonely series. Noughts and crosses series . And extinction series. Some others I’ve forgotten about but I will read this in autumn and winter what I call cozy months . Wow you got a lot . But if it makes you happy then enjoy buying them. Happy reading ❤❤😊
I gave up on Anita Blake some books after you. I like the early books, but the kinkier and more poly she got, the less I liked it. Reverse harem isn't my cuppa.
I handle my series I might read one day but not now by adding them to Goodreads and forgetting about them until get interested again. I only closely track the ones I am currently reading, and if I see a book and can't resist buying, that can spark the re-read. Because, yes, I am like you and re-read when a new book comes out and it's been a while. I am good at skimming, though.
Oh thank the lord! Someone else who doesn’t love short story collections, at last. Thought I was the outcast here. ❤
I will add myself to this sentiment, short story collections are generally a 'no thank you' from me!
same here! i’ve read so many series that have them but i’ve only read two short story collections. or even just short stories. so many of the series i’ve read have like 1, 1.25, 1.5, 2 etc and im like no thanks 1 and 2 will do.
The Legends and Lattes "sequel" is same world different characters so I think it will still be good. I've avoided looking into it more than that though.
i deal
with series the same way. if i have to wait for a book to come out, i will never get back to it. even once it comes out i won’t pick it up. and i DONT have a good memory so if i want to go back to finish i do have to reread and i don’t read fast enough for all that 😂 a never ending problem. but i agree with you- i can’t just only pick up completed series.
also i started a series tracker recently but yours is better than mine so
it might be some inspiration for me!
⚡ This was very relatable!
instantly started making my own spreadsheet
This was so satifying 😩
I feel the exact same about the Rivers of London series... Really loved it but am resentful of how much didn't really make sense in the later books because I hadn't read the graphic novels
This was interesting - I have like 3 different Series that I want to Complete by the end of this year. Your spreadsheet is a wonderful idea but you need to explain on how you made your Spreadsheet.
I hope that you will be able to finish some of these Series.
Take Care & Happy Reading ❤️🤗📚📖🔰❤️
⚡️ this was oddly relaxing (to me at least). I have a spreadsheet too but not as many series.
Hunger Games is YA not adult. I'll never understand people who can't comprehend that "I've started reading the Grisha series" means don't give spoilers because the person clearly hasn't finished it yet.
This was so soothing to watch and all your sections seem to be pretty even so that's not too bad. 🌩
Flavia de Luce is a YA. And there is a new book late in 2024.
This year, one of my most anticipated books is Marple: 12 New Mysteries.
Will you update for 2024 the ones you are actively track?
OMG!!!!! I'm only working on The Vampire Chronicles, I need to start the fourth book. I couldn't be as brave as you. I do have a couple of series sitting on my bookcase winking at me. I often wonder if I'll ever get to them 😅❤
I do the same thing, I hold off on books I am super excited about to "save" them.
Thanks a bunch....I've just spent several days with Goodreads and Excel figuring out my own series :\ 69 Finished series... 51 Not continuing ... 76 I need to finish...
I love these type of videos perfect for while im faffling about with other things. can my blind eyes see the spreadsheet? not really am i enjoying the heck of it every time? yes ⚡
I need a spreadsheet like this! Such a smart idea 😊
You're on fire girl! Well done ⚡️⚡️
Hi, I know this advice comes after goin tru 92 of them, but you can make it so it colors on its own based on what status it has.
This was so satisfying!! 🌩🌩
I have a love hate relationship with series, I get excited if the books are part of series but then I think that’s more books I’ve got to add to my TBR pile 😂
You could make one of your statuses “reread”.
i actually read Bitter before Pet and i thought Bitter was even better than Pet. it was such a good companion novel and, like Pet, incredible social commentary.
I finished Miss Marple this year (there are some short stories left for me tho) and I already miss it, she´s one of my all time favourite characters.
And Heartstopper will have volume 6.
This is so impressive!! Love a good series DNF
Have you read the Elenium series by David Eddings? I'm just about to start the Belgariad series, and Elenium/Tamuli was the first fantasy series I ever read and it's so good!
⚡⚡I didn't know there was a graphic novel companion series for Rivers of London but that does explain why I was confused reading the last one. It kept mentioning things (some foxes) like it was something I was supposed to know. I was already on the fence on continuing (I am not a fan of Beverly and her relationship with Peter) so if he's going to keep mixing them together, I think you convinced me to stop with the series.
🌩 ⚡️ It's currently storming here so this is perfect lol
⚡️i feel called out because this made me check how many series i'm actively still reading. 20 is to many might i add. Also just to let you know anita blake is now 29 book long series. So i ask why am i rereading it from the beginning?
⚡ love a good spreadsheet video
There are going to be six Heartstopper volumes now, so volume 5 isn't the last one. I wish you would give Scarlett and Browne another go, the second book is much better. I wouldn't bother with The Lost World though. I'm old enough that I read it when it first published and it felt like it was full of scenes for a new movie. I only read it the once, however many years ago that was, but at the time I read several Crichton books and it was the worst.
I love a spreadsheet so this was a great video for me! ⚡
I haven't done this, but I have been making a big effort lately to catch up and/or finish some of the many ongoing series I have. Most of those include a reread. Some of them, I can't even remember where I left off or if I maybe did finish the series and just lost track.
I refuse to look at all the books and series that I have and haven't even started.
Did you see that there is a 6th book coming out for the Percy Jackson series? ⚡⚡⚡
i'm aghast that you found the characters of jade city two dimensional, ha!
⚡I didn't know that I like looking at spreadsheets, but I know now 😄 But I guess it has to be a bookish and colourful spreadsheet...
I kind of want to make my own list now, but I'm actually way too lazy 😇
I keep forgetting to ask you what you thought of the Lockwood series on Netflix??
This makes my brain happy
On my series tracker spreadsheet i have a separate status for re-reading 😁🙃
⚡️Loved the video!!! 💙
is there potential that we could get a blank copy of this spreadsheet? it is EXACTLY what i’m looking for, and i’m trying to replicate but i’m a bit of a spreadsheet dummy😅
I love spreadsheets and commiserating. 😂 🌩 ⚡️
I don't think I've actually finished a series before 💀 (besides HP) The ones I'm reading are usually ongoing (the way of kings) or they had more books added to them after I technically finished it (Shatter me).
⚡️⚡️⚡️ LOVELY
⚡I love lists.... ⚡😊
Adore Mercy not a fan of Anna and Charles but it starts to overlap with the Witches and that has annoyed me
Also Aurora's End was not good in my opinion. It was too focused on ending the way it ended rather than having some depth imo
⚡Nice! ⚡
Heh I need to do this but I use Goodreads to keep track of my pile of shame. Instead I have a list of all the bodywash I own (37) and body sprays (35) and lotions (21). I save money by going to the library and spend it on smelly-goods from Lush and Bath and Body Works. Yeah, it's bad, I need to stop buying stuff.
I'm curious about how these body washes are stored?? Are all the body washes in your shower? Is your bathroom the size of my entire flat? Do you use the body wash, then the lotion then the spray in the same scent?
@@rebekahrobertson7671 Thanks for the question! I keep most of it in a 3-tier clear plastic drawers in my walk-in bedroom closet with a basket on top for seasonal sprays. I have a separate bathtub and put 15 moisturizing body washes in a basket on it for decoration and keep 2 or 3 gels in my shower at a time. I consider myself a minimalist except for my "smelly-goods" collection. I don't always use the same scents together, I just use what I'm feeling: gourmand, citrus, herbal. I don't always use lotion or spray which is why I have so much wash, and remember, the sprays will last years in a cool dark place.

How. About HELP!!!!!🙀😈😱😳
