Well done. The only thing I do different is when its cold I slightly heat the patch tape before installation and I roll from the center to the lower edge all the way across, center to top, center across both ways, then full length.
I would use an Rolling Pin to get the air out, it rolls a larger surface, and you can try Wood or stainless steel rolling pins to see which you prefer...

sd-dirt good idea to heat the patch too ... I'll do that... hopefully I won't have to do many of these in the winter ... it was really cold

How much did that repair cost.
I don't remember - $400 - 600 ... but I got pretty bad cold after this repair :(
