Well you sold me on it. I had a roof shingled and they nailed shingles into the flat portion penetrating the EPDM. I ripped off the shingles and I followed what you did and so far so good. Thanks from Canada for demonstrating something practical and straightforward.
That looks amazing!! I wish I had watched you before I spend my money at home depot and lowes. I cannot return the stuff I got. I have to throw away all of the adhesive because I didn't need it.
I've done a lot of flat roof work over the years with several different products. Experience has taught me to never trust any roof material manufacturer's warranty, they're not worth the paper they're written on. The roof installer will always take the hit on leak calls, repairs and any early failures. Only promise customers a roof warranty that you the contractor can afford to backup, and price your work accordingly. I may not agree with all of the Roof Doctor's techniques, but he has experience and common sense, which is most important. Small business are often vulnerable to becoming victims of shoddy roofing practices, simply because they haven't budgeted for roof replacement. It's important to provide them the very best roof repair they can afford..I applaud the care and efforts I see in the videos.
I don't have a seam leak like this video shows. I appear to have a small hole on my rubber flat roof just before the gutter. Would this method work better than what I was going to do: Vulcanize a piece of 1/16" rubber patch over the hole and use seam sealer to make a smooth transition so water doesn't poole?
I don't see "polyesther fleece" on Amazon, just : Yaxtida 6 Inches X 328 Feet Waterproofing Membrane Anti Fracture Fabric, Reinforcing Water Barrier Drywall Mesh Tape, Liquid Waterproof Membranes Fiberglass Tape. Will this work?
All you had to do is dry it out and use Lap sealant that is used normally to finish the seams and details . all those areas are supposed to be caulked. Silicone is the worst product to use on a rubber roof
You are ignorant. Just because there was a leak, now everything is rotten. So, if a car tire loses air due to a leak, is the entire rime and tire bad? Just because there is a leak, doesn't mean there is rotten wood underneath. Your remarks reveal that you don't have much experience
As usual I am learning more the past week about flat roofs than in 35+ years managing my properties. I'm so happy I found your channel.
Uh u

2ply torch down with a modified bitumen is the real answer! Thanks for the great lessons you give!
Rock on!
Very much like applying a piece of fiberglass cloth and patching with resin, but roofing materials. This is a great video
Nice work! I appreciate the work you do.
Thank you so much. The comment also helps a lot.

I've learned a lot.
Great job sir from a roofer 😊
I like your videos . I have learned alot from you my friend 🙂
What about for torch down/ rolled asphalt roofing

Can you use it on glavanize roof?
Stick if different than stretch. Great product btw. Forgot to show the cleaning with thinner :(
I can’t find super silicon seal online. Do you know of a comparable replacement or am I looking in the wrong place?
So don't use silicone caulking, but use silicone sealant? 🤔
How can get this materials

Great work! What does the fleece do?
The fleece keeps it in place, otherwise it will retract a little
Flatley Place
Trapped moisture will not dry out
All you had to do is dry it out and use

Did you not see how he pulled off the caulking from the previous repair? Came off like a two-year-old rubber band
Somebody just quoted $3600 to do that 🙄
That is not the correct way to repair that
Tell me how plz. A tree just fell on my house and just punctured it minorly, like size of my palm. Didnt go through any wood.
This should never happen poorly fitted
Easy as 1-2-3. Fast. Just leave the water and rotten wood inside no problem. They’ll never find out 😂
