Listen to THE WHOLE ALBUM
Songs in the key of life.
ABSOLUTE GENIUS.
❤
Yes, a masterpiece. Every song is a banger. A must listen all the way through.
Stevie has greater vision than those with sight.
You might even say it is an Innervision 😊
This song saved my life in 1977. I was 20 years old. I'm grateful for the genuis of Stevie Wonder, his music, and his courage to go on and on wishing profoundly in the deep depts of his soul that humanity will rise above hate and fear...that is from a black blind man. Surely, this man is touched by God. (sorry about the writing, I'm french and just learning).
No need to apologise. Beautifully said 💚
How did it save ur life? Karen Carpenter's music saved my life from a belt wielding father
@@michaelasay8587 From attempting suicide, after rape at nine years old and years of school bullying. I lost all hope of being the happy person I once was. Took me thirty years to live normally again, but yet, at times, it feels like I could sink in the blackness of despair so easily because of extreme solitude and rejection from the people I once loved, including my family. Solitude and loneliness are the only things real left from those years, my only companions. Being alone is the worse thing, but it is the only things keeping me alive. I don't give up easily.
Stevie sings directly from the heart , it´s pure beauty ! I LOVE HIM!
I love this chorus. It could go on and on. Always.
Beautiful song...beautiful reaction...beautiful people. Blessings and love from Australia.
Yes he writes all his music and lyrics
👍
Pure genius, seen Stevie live four times!!!! Sounds just like this on stage!!!! Incredibly talented HUMAN BEING!!!
All-time Stevie favorite, which is saying a lot.
Mr. Wonder writes the most meaningful lyrics and sets them to amazing music. Wonderful reaction, A&D. ☮💙🎶
This song contains one of the most BEAUTIFUL and greatest lyrics ever written. 'Did you know that true love asks for nothing?
Her acceptance is the way we pay.
Did you know that life has given love a guarantee?
To last through forever and another day!
Just as time knew to move on since the beginning...
And the seasons know exactly when to change.
Just as kindness knows no shame,
Know through all your joy and pain....
That I'll be loving you always"
Wonderful 😊
This song and video is absolutely perfect in ALL ways. Thank you both for reacting to this beautiful tune and much needed message💖 Terrific album as well - a must listen!🎶
A MUST HEAR Classic,, Stevie Wonder
"My Cherie Amour" ❤
This song is everything we need right now. Long live Stevie Wonder.
My Absolute Favorite of His!!!!! Look forward to your reaction. Keep Strong!❤❤
Stevie Wonder reflects the best in American culture. Thank you, Stevie Wonder for having the courage to sing your truth to all of us.
Stevie is and was always a solid gold Genius .
Great reaction indeed! You are very clever, friends. Dominika (I hope I didn't write in a wrong manner) said very well: when Stevie talks about love, it is not only the love between two human beings, but between one of them and God!
The lyrics of this song are... direct from Heaven as it has been said, but I wanted to add this: when in the bridge Stevie says "you're in it but not if it" he does a reference to the famous words in the Gospel of John 15,18-21.
Next Stevie's song I recommend: the "nearly-live"
"A seed's a star and tree medley".
Beautiful... thank you for sharing 💚
Beautiful ❤ love Stevie ❤😊
His song “Summer Soft” is perfect
Yes, he writes all his own lyrics. 😊
👍
As much as I would love to see you react to every song from this album, I think it would be a blessing for you both to sit down and listen to the whole thing together in one sitting. Songs in the Key of Life truly is the story of Life and Living.
I am seriously looking forward to the day when all the Love that Stevie sings about here comes to pass because I believe in that time and space, we may actually get to meet. And that is a day I'm looking forward to as well.
Carry on, my friends!
Thank you 😊 Much love from Romania 💚
Just love how you appreciate undeniable beauty & love !
I love this song.
Beautiful Song, Beautiful Reaction!
Stevie wrote all his lyrics...(he also wrote many songs for other artist) more than not he played every instrument you hear on the record and he also had a band that could reproduce his songs perfectly live. He is the whole package as they use to say. They didnt name him Wonder for nothing. He is a Wonder.
Haha, that's true. What a talent 💚
Absolutely ❤❤❤this song and Stevie!!!!
Young Stevie Wonder had hits in the early 60's at age 13, he was one of the greats of Motown in Detroit my hometown, Stevie and Michael Jackson were 2 of Motowns prodigy's, Stevie Wonder was from Saginaw, Michigan near where my mother grew up, his list of hit's are numerous 😅 you should see him on the harmonica, a good example is "Thats What Friends Are For" with Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Gladys Knight, and of course Stevie 😉 Peace✌️ your 70 year old forever hippie Gary😊 ❤Love your reaction as usual 😉
Stevie is one of the best. Ever. 💯♥️🇦🇺
This song holds very special memories for me
Ribbon in the Sky is a beautiful song of Stevie
He writes everything
My beautiful fellow empathic sister and brother, you have just been embraced by His Divine Love!!!! Walk in this embrace daily! You are so loved!!! Thanks for sharing!!😇💖💖💖
Oh my gosh - one of my ALL-TIME favorite songs by one of my ALL-TIME favorite artists!!
Several years ago, shortly after my son was born, I was playing with him, bouncing him on my knee, and listening to Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" album. This song came on and - completely unexpectedly - I suddenly burst into tears hearing the lyric "I'll be loving you always". I was TOO happy. I couldn't take it. LOL.
Beautiful 💚 Thank you for sharing 😊
Yes Stevie writes his own lyrics and plays the instruments to his own songs.....and keep in mind....he is blind!!!! He wrote the lyrics to this song and perform the instruments!!! Beautiful song!!! One of my all-time favorite songs by Stevie. He is a genius and my No.1 artist of all-time. I cried every time I hear this song!!!!! And the song is relevant to your relationship: Andrei & Domininka. Also Check out "Love's In Need of Love Today." It is beautiful. It is Fire!!!
Interesting... can't wait to check it out. Love and peace 💚
For the first time listener, the song is simply arresting...
I was 12 when I first heard it in 1976, and I still tear up when I hear it. It's the most beautiful song ever.
Stunningly beautiful song from an amazing album.
Stevie Wonder, Dire Straits and Supertramp have always been my favorite musicians, but Stevie is what has formed the soundtrack of my life. Songs of the key of Life and The Secret Life of Plants are the two albums that still make me fall in love with him.
Stevie is one of the greatest song writers of all time, and a lot of times he's playing all the instruments on the recording
Songs in the Key of Life was Stevie’s genius explained from start to finish if you own the best 100 albums of all time this is amongst them.
It's your party, cry if you want to. I, too, get emotional when I experience beauty. Stevie is gifted, throughout his whole portfolio.
YOU GUYS ROCK!!!
The song can be described simply as "My love for you is natural and never ending." Stevie became somewhat enlightened around this time and personally I think he helped a lot of us to move toward that goal with such genius music. Never speaking down to his audience.
I am a huge Prog rock fan and fusion blues Jazz but Songs in the Key of life would make my desert island 10 albums list.
If ever a voice, could be described as an instrument. It would be Stevie Wonder's! He is amazing!
Well said 😁
It's a blast of Joy that song. Never get tired.
This is the best reaction to this song I have seen and I have seen a lot. I don’t listen to this song often because it almost brings me to tears
You keep on reacting to many of my favorite songs!!! And your words are great, but the expressions on your faces are even greater! You should hear Stevie's album, Innervisions. It's full of this caliber of songs, a true work of art. I noticed on "As" that the line, "God knew exactly where He wanted you to be placed" grabbed your attention. There is a quote from the Bible, Acts 17:26, which says, "From one man [God] made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live." I just thought you might like to know that.
Thank you 😊 Beautiful 💚
Thank you Both ... for such a Beautiful review of my Biggest Musical Influence & 1 of his Greatest Songs !!...
Yes he did write the lyrics this album came out a few years after his near fatal car accident. On this particular recording his first children's mother is singing backup on this song.
Stevie is a treasure. A gift.
One of the best to ever do it.
Ribbon in the Sky is a beautiful song
You two beautiful people -- Andre and Dominica -- really need to check out the double album that this song came from -- called SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE. Came out in 1976, when I was 15. This culminated 6 years in which Stevie Wonder came out with genius album after genius album. And this is his magnum opus -- his greatest work -- most people consider it so anyway. So many great songs on that album, and the way the whole is so seamlessly put together -- often one song leads right into another. It's a full experience -- two full albums, four sides. PLEASE check it out.
Many thanks. We'll look into it for sure 😊💚
Herbie Hancock on funky Fender Rhodes electric piano solo 🌟🎶pretty much from 1970 on, Stevie wrote all his own music and lyrics completely, which is one of the amazing things about him. Throughout the ‘70’s into the ‘80’s, he is also the drummer on most of the songs with very little exception. Truly, the closest thing to Stevie from a total music perspective is maybe Prince. Stevie also wrote great songs that other artists recorded as well, like Lovin You, recorded by the late Minnie Ripperton, or Michael Jackson’s I Can’t Help It. Also the album that this is from is so epic because it was a double album. If released in today’s times it would have broken the internet or something, just an amazing incredible body of work. Great reaction!👏
I love all of your reactions, they’re so heartfelt. Thank you guys, I appreciate you both. Love and Blessings 🙏♥️
Great reaction. You speak truth from the heart.
Stevie Wonder’s music gave my Autistic son so much pleasure. I went out and bought all his music. It kept my son calm and gave him peace. I will always love Stevie for that.
This song was included in my wedding. That is how much me and my husband love this song. If you are not aware of his deep discography….trust me, it is worth the journey. This is just the tip of the iceberg….
I wonder if blind people sometimes see better than sighted people. He captures beauty in the song that draws upon visual images that he's never seen. Pure genius. I bought this album when it was released and I loved the whole album - it's one of those rare albums that's a masterpiece with great song after great song ranking up there with Carole King's Tapestry, U2's Joshua Tree and very few others.
By the time of "Songs in the key of life" Stevie literally exploded with music and it went on - "The secret life of plants" is a hardly known masterpiece too. This song is a very good example but it´s only just one of the many.
Btw - the guy can sing, yes?
Yes 💚
Truly channeled from the higher realms. I enjoyed watching how much you enjoyed this song. Even though I've heard it dozens of times I can never not cry. Thanks for reacting to this one 💙
Stevie Wonder was a child prodigy who signed with Motown at the age of 11, where he was given the professional name "Little Stevie Wonder". He covered many genres of music such as R&B, pop, soul, gospel, funk & jazz. Lots of great songs such as "Superstition", "Uptight (Everything's Alright)", "I Was Made To Love Her", "For Once In My Life", "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours", "I Just Called To say I Love You", "My Cherie Amour", "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life", "Higher Ground", "Living For The City", "Sir Duke", "Isn't She Lovely?" etc.
Thank you for the suggestions ☺️ Love and peace from Romania 💚
Love him❤🇨🇼🇳🇱🇨🇼🇳🇱
This beautiful song has just as powerful a message as it did when Stevie wrote it nearly 50 years ago. I was 25 when I bought the album the day it was released in England and it's still a favourite today. This album Songs In The Key Of Life is totally a Stevie Wonder solo project, he wrote and sang every track and played every instrument you hear on it. Please listen to the album as a whole and you will see it is a true musical masterpiece. I'm so happy to hear this beautiful reaction from such a beautiful couple, you brought me to tears. 😍
I hope you guys get an opportunity to listen the whole album that song is from - "Songs In The Key Of Life" So many unbelievably great songs fill that whole LP
Beautiful song. Lovely voice.
I've been watching your reactions and just subscribed. I really enjoy the care you have for each other. Your reaction to "As" was wonderful and heartfelt. It's one of my favorites by Stevie Wonder and I dedicated to my wife during our 50th anniversary in 2020. It's pure poetry from a remarkably talented artist! He not only wrote it but he actually plays many, if not all, of the instruments in his songs. Blessings to you both!🙏🏻❤
Thank you kindly 😊 Much love and all the best to you and your wife 💚
@@MerchantOfAlba You're welcome! And thank you as well!😊❤
Good God! Dominica is spot on! I'm the one who's going to cry, not Andre. Stevie Wonder was always an amazing talent but he was a stretch of 3 or 4 albums in the early 1970's that were as good as any in popular music.
Fantastic lyrics!👍You guys should react to "Knocks Me Off My Feet", from the same album.
Stevie was ahead of his time and was called the 7th Wonder of the World. He was very cerebral. He wrote all of his own music and also for many others.
woooooow wondefull
Timeless
Classic flashback jam!
You guys make me so happy with my choices and your great reactions to them.
You are making us so happy with your selections 💚😉
Please react to You Are the Sunshine of My Life. I sang this to my kids all the time when they were growing up.xoxoxo
Many people are not aware that jazz genius Herbie Hancock is playing the Fender Rhodes electric piano on this track.
If Fingertips at 13 years old didn't convince you then " Songs in the Key of Life " should have, that Stevie Wonder is a musical genius.
Love’s In Need Of Love Today, All I Do, Another Star.💫
this video brightened up my day so much; thanks for the reaction :) hoping to see a reaction to "i wish" from the same album
Great reaction!! You guys should also react to Stevie Wonder "Overjoyed" and "Ribbon in the sky".
This was my wife man my wedding song (first dance)
It's a pleasure seeing you guys react too soul, rhythm/blues, dance, as I feel you aren't as familiar with those and similar genres...... See what you've been missing?
Yes he wrote most of the songs
Imagine writing a #1 album when you are 24-25 years old. Stevie is one of the most prolific artists ever!
That song is like a drug
two days ago? I missed this completely. Isn't it beautiful! Actually...it's been kinda crazy here in America the last few days🙄🙄
I hope you get to read this because I ask you to listen to a version of this song done by George Michael and Mary J Blige you don’t have to react to it but definitely listen to it! Stevie is my man but they really cover this one soooogood!❤ I love you guy’s and cry with you all the time! Lol❤lol
I suggest you to react to other Wonder's songs: A sedd's a star and tree medley, I wish, Front line, Free, I'm new, just to name a few from his incredible repertoire.
I hope you get to read this because I ask you to listen to a version of this song done by George Michael and Mary J Blige you don’t have to react to it but definitely listen to it! PS Herbie Hancock is playing the piano on this as well you can hear the solo in various parts of the song that is the great Herbie Hancock.
Suggesting you react to the George Michael and Mary J Bleige cover version of this song. As.,, 👌👍✌️
Thank you for the suggestion. We do know that version pretty well 😁
Sister Sledge did a cover as well…
