Love Jules! So glad they expanded their search and found a home. You have to wonder if anyone had tried to explain how expensive Oxfordshire is.
Robert is just wonderful with his passion for apples.
The visit to Chastleton House visit is a real Gift from Escape tot the Counter!
The mystery house was so amazing, but I totally get their decision. No garden and with her tall husband it's not practical.
I've liked all of the houses shown and as usual really enjoyed the episode. Jules is such a wonderful presenter and the couple was precious - lying on the floor to "feel" the place.☺️
Thanks for sharing!
They were lying on the floor to get a sense of if their bed would fit in the room. It's something Kirsty Allsop who co-presents the wonderful program(me) Location, Location, Location., advises prospective home-buyers to do if a bedroom seems small.
The Chastleton House visit was a wonderful treat!
Fantastic couple and of course Jules. Thank you.
What a pleasant program, with real enthusiasm from the househunters and beautiful properties with reasonable compromises. I would have made a run at house #2 if I were in their shoes.
Such beautifully cared for homes the English country side. I always renjoy watching these episodes.
chastleton house should be opened as a local museum astonishing or for local visitors😊😊lovely
How is this about Rutland? Oxfordshire ISN’T Rutland which is further north. This is mistitled.
My first reaction when the video started was gosh, I hadn't realized that the Chilterns had made it to Rutland.
That was fun, thank you!
I also love Autogrill in Italy and insist we stop at each one we come across. Always good food, coffee and yummy bargains. I especially love the ones that reach to either side of the auto strands.
House number 3 was lovely but i think i would pick house 1 and make it into a combination of house 2 and 3, a garden with fruit trees and a beautifully updated inside.
thanks as always..always interesting and i learn from others experience😊😊lovely❤❤
Another great telling of the amazing adventure of your life .... and Bonnie's
nice to hear they found what they wanted😊
Un sous-titrage serait le bienvenu...je vous regarde depuis la France et je ne maîtrise pas parfaitement la langue de Shakespeare. Merci d'y penser !
The husband ducking his head at every doorway 😮. No way would I live like that.
😊😊very educatif lovely❤❤
always amazing😊😊❤❤
But this isn't Rutland, it's Oxfordshire?
I think they got the wrong title on this episode of Oxfordshire. :)
Exactly what I said. Rutland is a way away.
House nr 2 was beautiful, wasnt it?
House 3 is beautiful but totally impractical. What developer would not enclose that back patio area in a high fence for privacy. It’s far too open at that price point and parking in front of your neighbors garden as well. And the same price as house 1 which has garden and driveway.
None of these worked. Need a much better budget or look for something more average. And an 1 1/2-hour train ride to work, no thanks.
I always wonder, when watching the programme, what the hell older people with raised kids need a house with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for?
I have watched many episodes and enjoy all the artisans you feature it makes for very entertaining content but and there is always a but isn’t there ,I can’t understand why nobody removes their shoes when viewing the properties ?!?!
I can’t begin to count the times, when watching this program, I wished the buyer(s) merely wanted a small, charming cottage with a small flower garden to relax outside-I wish that a humble, modest home was enough. The mini mansions they show, while beautiful, are not something I would wager most viewers could ever hope to purchase. I’m happy for those buyers who have the means to purchase a huge, expensive property. I have to confess though that when a wealthy buyer’s attitude is one of being accustomed to the advantages that money brings, I feel my bristles go up a bit. Is it just me? If I’m just being an ass, I’ll own it. These are challenging times we’re living in, especially for those who must get by on a low income. Makes a person want to cut the valve stems on the tires of luxury cars parked at the grocery store. Yes, I’m being an ass. Sorry everyone.
Agree with you. I find most of the prospective we-want-a-home-in-the-country buyers are somewhat entitled prats.

Not sure about England, but in the U.S., having a decent sized home in a fairly peaceful setting used to be quite do-able for working class families with one income. It's our governments and banks that have inflated assets while betraying our industries and workers. We needn't resent wealthier people's natural desire to get a good home. We should just find a way to fix the continual plundering of OUR countries by our "leaders."
Those people could find a home themselves. The ones that really need help are those with a small budget.....
@@roelienpostma2367 Absolutely and amen.
Why caĺl this episde Rutland.
❤️👍👍👍❤️👋👋👋❤️
👎👎👎 another glitch after 21 minutes. Also wrong county. Its Oxfordshire, not Rutland.
I never understand why they ask for a budget, and then trample all over it! It's an exercise in futility. Not everyone has half a million pounds. They seem to find a place to live.
I laugh when they choose a budget then when shown a home at the price complain it’s too expensive or actual want something cheaper.
Why do you always show homes above their budget. Extremely irritating.
Why do you guys marry so late!! Love from Pakistan. We get married when we are in our twenties
As I understand it, there is no prohibition in Pakistan people marrying after being widowed. Also, the rate of divorce in your country is increasing. So, think about it: people in later life are surely entering second marriages (or live-in relationships) in Pakistan too. And, odd as it might seem to you, some people simply don't meet their ideal partner until they've spent many years living singly.
