      It's the Ashley's Roachclip break, which was used as the title theme of Streets of Rage II, hence the familiarity.

      Maybe you think that because Richard Jacques had create some famous Sonic Music (Sonic R, Sonic 3D Blast etc.) on this era, using a music gear pretty similar and the same music trick (Roland 909 flatout pattern, this style of Rhodes melody, thick pad etc.) ^^

      Also the bass in this has me thinking of the bass in Hydrocity Zone in Sonic 3. This video definitely gave me Sonic vibes. And now it makes me think of music from Toejam and Earl 2: Panic on Funkotron too.

    The Hitachi oscilloscope is so sweet, and a memory for me. My much older brother growing up in the 70's was an electronics nerd and always had one in his teenage "mad scientist" lab located in the garage. He would always be ripping apart and putting back together TV's, stereos, radios, telephones...whatever he could get his hands on.
    With your channel, I can't decide what I like more: Your playing/interpretation abilities or your overall knowledge on gear & software. Your killing it and your message is on point and well received. I love me some Dr. Mix!

    being lucky when i se "Build a 90s...." i like the eurodisco like corona , maxx ,masterboy styles so shold be fun to se you create somthing like that :D

    smoooooooth jazzzzz....105 point nine! ....that was my local smooth jazz station in the 90s...so often i heard beats like this with sax or other instruments playing lame melodies that went on forever....man this is a trip down memory lane.

    Really just completely on point in every way, I've now seen 2 vids on this channel and both have been superb! These sounds are still so highly sought after, its really nice to hear them all exposed. This is super useful for a producer to see, even if you don't have all the same instruments, you can still get a clear vision of where those sounds come from, and work with what you got.

    Awesome track. I thought Lisa Stansfield was going to break in on the vocals for a second there. You've really captured the spirit of the 90's. The melody put me in mind of Lisa Stanfield - All Woman (1991) and the Bass line reminded me of George Benson - Turn Your Love Around (1981)
