    I decided to pick up the servo base of the T-GT 2 to decide for myself what it's worth is. I can now confidently say if you are invested in the TM ecosystem and want to upgrade from the likes of a T300 then the T-GT 2 is worth it 110%

    Worth every cent for me, never had such an amazing experience, I have T150, T300rs, Logitec 920, g29 and g923... this is by far the best wheel on the market, specially for GT7. Although I did decide to upgrade the brake system. I've lowered my records for as much as 6 seconds right out the box (well with a little adjustment period of about 20min)

    I’ve bought a t-gt 2 used like new, only opened for a demonstration, for 500 euros on eBay. And I really love it, it’s a beast. Surely the new fanatec dd pro it’s better, but the bundle with the booster kit and the third pedal (I think that you must have these both) is sold for 960 euros. Add the delivery cost from Germany and you are over 1K…it’s double than what I spent for the t-gt 2. It’s not exactly the same money between TM and fanatec, how people use to say on forums or comments. And if you want a second rim…or a shifter…the speech is always the same, every fanatec optional would cost you double or more than TM 😊

      But would you have bought it for the full price? Its a super wheel. I have it too and very happy of it. But if I wouldnt have found it for a good price, I would have stayed with the T300. Thanks for the feedback, friend. Much appreciated.

      @@SimulatedDrivingResource I have to admit that the brand new price is high, in my opinion for 750 euros TM should include the tclm pedals. Anyway we can’t compare its price with the base DD pro price of 699 euros, because it does not include the booster kit and the third pedal. I’m sure that the fanatec (that is a direct drive) would offer you a better experience, but even considering the brand new price of the tgt2, you have to spend 250 euros more 😉 a great thank to you for the honest review and the immediate reply! 🙏

      You can divide racing wheels in 4 categories. The mario-kart wheels, the entry-level wheels, the mid-level wheels and the high-end level wheels. I would avoid buying a mario-kart type wheel because it gives a wrong image on how fun it can be to use a wheel. You also need to realize that perhaps in a few months, you get bored of racing or just don't have the time for it anymore. This would mean that the more you invest in equipment, the more you stand to loose if you would sell it after x time. I would highly recommend to avoid the two top segments for the first 6 months you race to make sure you won't get bored of it. This leaves us with the entry-level wheels. These (mainstream) wheels consist of Logitech G29, 920,923 and TM T150 ,T248, T300, TMX and TX. Here the choice is upto you. All wheels are sufficiant enough to give you a "proper" race-experience. The T300 (TX) series is for me personally the top-base of that segment technology-wise with the dual belt and sufficiant power and ability to upgrade in the TM eco-system. The bases are also very easibly accessible on second hand markets. The T248 on the other hand is good if you just want to have a starter wheel and don't plan to do much upgrades. It is a nice wheel, good customizable settings, hassle-free and good as a family-wheel. Which to choose is upto you. Both choices will be enough to keep you entertained during the first few months of racing. And then, if you still are interested, you can sell your T300/T248 at a minimum of loss and proceed to the mid (TGT/ budget DD) and higher level (niche) wheels.

    I reckon the t300 torque is underrated. If I turn it right up on gt7 its too much feels like im driving a dump truck or an old tractor. Most cars even race cars dont have anywhere near that amount of push through the steering wheel unless they dont have power steering. IMO the T300 is the best just above entry level wheel and they are a score second hand because even the older two pedal t300 ferrari GTE that I have works with ps5 and GT7. You can modify most of the stuff thats wrong with them very easy like the pedal dead area and the brake feel very easily and cheapily.

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  7 місяців тому

      Well I would recommend the T300 to anyone that starts with the hobby. It has, like you say, potential of being enough for what you want to do with it with a crazy good price second hand. Thanks for the feedback friend!

    If I already have a T300rs with T-LCM loadcell pedals and the Ferrari rim, is it worth getting a T-GT II servo for 399 new? A fanatec DD would be 3x as much for a new rim and everything. Or should I wait for the TM DD?

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  2 роки тому +1

      Hard to answer. Personally, because I exclusively play GT and like you, had decent pedals and a rim, I think the extra is worth it, more then buying a complete new setup from Fanatec. I expect for TM to stall their DD until the end of the year... and at that time it will only be available for PC first and consoles to follow a couple of months after so still little less then a year to go. So yeah... if you want to do an upgrade, the TGT is for me the best option in your (and my) case. Is it worth 400€... upto you my friend.

    I needed a new wheel to replace G27 for PS5 (GT7 VR). Fanatec's beginner DD set was sold out without a restock date and a better bundle was pricey already. Logitech DD G Pro wheel would have been over 1200 euros too. So I choose T-GT II for 625e. It bummers to know there are better alternatives and that I need to add the cost of t-lcm pedals to get it up to some standard. But maybe it's not that bad and gives me some edge against G923 drivers ;)

    I didn't tried the T-GT II but according by me, the last good wheel from TM was the TS-PC.
    Not because it's just my wheel but because it allways been a stand alone product since it is sold, and it has the same motor of T-GT1 but without the Gran Turismo FFB feature which I don't mind because I am on PC, of course.
    The TS-PC starting price was 500€ (base+rim) and the T-GT1 was 800€ (base+rim+pedals). So there was no point for me to buy an overpriced wheel with barely sufficent pedal set and a FFB feature meant for just one game (not an actuall Sim).
    As I said before, I didn't tried the T-GT II so I can't give a proper opinion. Maybe with those all new features is very good, maybe is not, but since the competitors (Fanatec actually) can give you a DD with good pedal set at the same price, I think this T-GT II is for TM lovers or for console users that can't customize their echosystem with different brands.

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  2 роки тому +1

      There is absolutely no reason why one would buy a T-GT (2) when your sole racing-platform is PC. Like you say, the TS-PC has similar hardware apart from the GT-exclusive feature T-DFB. However, with the experience I have with the Fanatec DD packages, rim and pedals...the unavailibilty of DD, pricing and packages of the T-GT 2, I am not sure which is better to pick. Personal preference like I noted in the T-GT vs GT DD Pro video. Thanks for the feedback and support, friend!

      Hello Robert, I do understand your point. Unfortunately at this time, I can't do such a thorough comparison due to lack of funds (I don't have enough money to buy 2 high end bases at the same time), lack of time (I have a family and a full-time job) and perhaps the most decissive factor of them all, I am not a pro-simracer, I just race for fun. Things like the T-DFB, I felt that change.. it is a real hardware change, but software changes are so minute most of the time that you have to be a pro to notice them. Maybe I will do a follow up on these if I ever have the luck of owning both these at the same time and have some spare time to just 'drive'.
