i'd actually consider the fanatec dd but the lack of wheels & buttons for is for driving games & simulations like euro truck simulator 2 etc. make me consider the t gt 2 when it drops in price to replace my g29 for ets2, f1, fh5. etc.
been using logitech since late 2014 and it really feels more and more like a toy to me. I use T3PA-Pro standalone inverted pedals and have modded my g29 shifter so it feels very natural tho. I actually don't really want to replace either the pedals or the shifter, just the wheel but i guess that ain't gonna be possible xD
Do you happen to know if those analogue sticks can control the camera in snowrunner?

Hi nice review and a nice wheel but out of my price range, I want a wheel for my ps5 and the thrustmaster t300 rs looks my best bet but I’m concerned about compatibility with the ps5 going forward. Have you heard anything thou your thrustmaster contact about support.
Never had to use support so cannot tell you, which obviously good and bad! Not had an issue with a product yet.
@@ATribeCalledCars thank you for your reply but I’ve worded my question wrong, my concern is that the t300 rs isnt officially endorsed by Sony and so will it still work on future games such as GT 7 and WRC 11 for ps5. I don’t want to buy it now for only a short term use if that makes sense.
@@stevesmith6988 Ahhh my apologies. I would be highly doubtful any of the most popular wheels will not work with future racing games. But nothing official has been announced. I don't think you will need to worry.

When you realise you need to take the attention off the csl dd by announcing an upgraded version of a previous wheel.
I reckon it will be hit by a discount early on, even if it's somehow a lot better than its predecessor it still costs quite a bit.
@@ATribeCalledCars Sorry for the late reply. These have gone up for reservation at $1K CAD. Even more expensive than the TS XW w/ Sparco Wheel kit. Comments?
@@kylerobinson6102 Which wheel, the CSL DD? The TS-XW is great, especially with T-LCM pedals. But it depends on how big the difference is.
@@ATribeCalledCars I have a Sparco TS XW Coming for $850 CAD. No Load Cell Pedals as you know in that bundle. I'm considering cancelling the order and going with the CSL DD & Sony wheel. I don't love the look of the wheel but you could buy a different rim for it later if you had to. The price is slightly MORE for the CSL Setup, but it'd save me from having to go buy a set of LC Pedals after the fact.
@@kylerobinson6102 I think the DD is the better wheel but the load cell pedals make a big difference. I doubt you will miss out on much either way. I want to do a versus video but just not had a chance yet.
How far do you need to tighten the screw wheel mounting the wheel. Don’t want to screw it in to far
If the screws are the originals, I suspect they will not go all the way to something damaging. But reasonably tight so it does not move will suffice, no need to go overboard.
Do I need to do any updates before using it with ps5? I don't have a PC. can i connect it directly to ps5 and use it?
I'd give it a go. If something doesn't work, borrow someone's laptop and update the firmware. I suspect it will be fine without as that is a recent product.
I have the Logitech g29 works fine for me on the PS4 can’t see me paying £700 for the t-gt 2 tho, looks a brilliant steering wheel mind you, just a hefty price tag 🤯 I’d stretch the £400 max for a wheel that’s it no more unless it actually took me to the shop and back 😬💨no way I’m paying more for the wheel than the computer-ps5!
Do you play dirt 2.0 on PS4/5? If so, what settings did you change to make g29 responsive? I reduced steering saturation to around 40% that helped but I still couldn’t turn properly. I gave up and only play dirt rally and dirt 4 because every tiny input works and I can drive really well. I just got so annoyed that the wheel just wouldn’t work. I’m sure that I only lowered forcefeedback settings on dirt rally and dirt 4. I even bought season pass for 2.0 and wish I could play it.
@@grahamkelly8662 I have only ever played dirt rally and I played that on PS4 I didn’t even mess with my settings I left them how they was brother and managed to hammer out some half decent times after about 4-5 hours practice lol had loads of fun doing it really recommend dirt rally to everyone who owns a wheel. I also played gran turismo an awful lot that was my go to game with the wheel. Im yet to use my wheel on the ps5 I have gran turismo 7 ready to go just not had the time to play it with my wheel yet but I’m sure it’s going to be a hoot! Happy gaming brother 😎👍🏻
T300 is so much better than anything Logitech. I could not even play Assetto corsa with my G29 I though the software was just poor but then got a T300 and it changed everything. Belt driven is far superior that the constant rattling you get with gears.
Are these unavailable in Canada?
They've now gone up for reservation on Amazon to come out next week my dude. Very expensive though at $1k CAD. You'll find better offerings out there.

which is better Thrustmaster T300 RS GT Edition or Thrustmaster T-GT 2

The T-GT 2 is more powerful than the T300RS GT and T-GT 2 I'm not sure, but it looks like it wouldn't have cooling problems like the T300RS GT. Obviously T-GT 2 costs more,but I think for T-GT 2 price I'd rather get like a Fanatec DD wheel.
Fanatec doesn’t care about its customers. Stick to Thrustmaster gear. If you can afford it and mostly play GTS and plan on playing GT7, get the T-GT II. It’s what I’ve just done :)

Not necessarily, but sadly I've not tested this wheel yet. Would make sense for a comparison!

Love the tgt2, over priced tho for what it is. Disappointed they didn’t give a torque bump over the tgt-1. This should have been 8nm really, fanatec had 8nm on a belt wheel so thrustmaster could have done it too

Big mistake to not have a load cell. But with thrustmaster teasing a DD wheel it makes no sense to buy this one now.

23,000 hours to develop the TGT-II? What a load of crap.
I mean it doesn't mention the work speed during those 23,000 hours lol.
With such development speed, they release direct drive after about 100 years.
@@AleksYurchenko To be honest that's just 220 people spending 100 hours each, not exactly much. Or 22 spending 1,000, which is really not long to develop a product. 41 solid days so 82 12-hour days and so on.

@@AleksYurchenko Indeed but the external design will have eaten up a while. Branding, marketing, box design etc. Not saying it justifies a lack of development, but it's so easy to burn through time unfortunately lol.

This is poor from thrustmaster. Bringing out an outdated belt driven wheel when fanatec have gone DD on a budget they have massively missed the boat. How many years have they had now?? Very lazy
Kinda pisses me off..like why the hell would you do that after how the market is going for wheelbases..we should make a petition to make this price go down 200 to 300 bucks your absolutely insane for buying this for just gran turismo

For sure man...so a direct drive, drives the wheel itself and provides all of the torque. Instead of a belt or gear driving the wheelbase for pushing the power of the wheelbase. Its became alot more cheaper. Well soon it will be. When the CSL DD is available. It will be sold out more than likely for the first few months or so i would assume. But it again it allows for much stronger, and even faster, force feedback than the belt and gear driven ones. The brushless motor in say the t300 is a great medium to get you in the door which is basically the equalivent of the TGT(1st gen) minus the extra transducers for Gran Tursimo only. My gripe is that its basically a t300 wraped in a different name with an extra feature that's, well just not worth it. This of course is my opinion but based on the prices that are in our world for these wheelbases.
@JM #7 RACING yep logitech are just as bad but slightly let off as they make a lot of other peripherals for pc and console. Thrustmaster in the main target sim racers and airplane sims so this is normally their main focus and should have certainly been prepared for the rise of DD wheels but they have been lazy and complacent
