Live from Watches & Wonders 2024, we talk to Guido Terreni, CEO of Parmigiani Fleurier, who explains the ins and outs of the new Toric collection. This marks the return of Michel Parmigiani's first watch, and is perfectly in tune with the brand's current aesthetical mandates of understatement and sophistication.

He’s so articulate, he could sell anything. And his work on Parmigiani has been so classy. Truly passionate about his work
I’m so happy that they finally revived the Toric line. And what a subtle and tasteful design! Congratulations to Guido Terreni and the Parmigiani team!
I came for the watches and got a history lesson in men’s fashion
Not bad, right? ;)
Wow, this really helped understand the brand and the new models better. Thank you!
You're most welcome!
Beautiful. Remarkable how PF are setting out a stall that is unique, coherent and classy. They've stolen Patek's lunch! Bravo!
Best video from Watches & Wonders. Impressive outline of the watch, history and strategy. I little out of my reach...for now. Well done.
Much appreciated!
Great episode covering great watchesby great journalist.
Many thanks
Nizar
Beautifully crafted design. I love it. Can’t afford it, but I love it💕💕💕
Parmigiani are on fire. Several years of absolute wonders and no sign of slowing down
For sure, the Toric is another winner!
He saved parmigiani
Pure class and good taste. Its understated but a lot to explore and admire in the details. Well done.
The new Toric is amazing! The colours, the cases, the movements... it all works wonderfully together!
Winner of W&W24. There is nothing as elegant, classy and technical like Parmigiani. Guido Terreni probably the best ceo in the industry today. Italian taste married french class.
The new toric does indeed look fantastic!
New Torice look amazing !!!!! The Pink gold is seriously handsome.
Yep, it's a gorgeous line-up!
Oh, I know... I know.. As a default setting, I organically immerse myself in the ethos and design DNA of these current crop of PF watches... The finest aesthetically as far as luxury obscure wrist furniture goes!
Tonda is my poison. Have one ... One day I hope to add with the All Platinum. Thanks for the good video.
It's really good, the new Toric. Adds a new flair to the brand, and the platinum Petite Seconde is indead a work of art!
that was very impressive
Glad you like it!
Guido 👍🏻
Lovely. I must admit most of their watches aren’t to my taste but these are beautiful.
They really are!
Love this new Toric but the price point is a tough point considering the opposition, Patek, VC and Lange.
Sure, but we can attest that the watches look amazing in person! The finishing is very, very good but you would have to put them side by side to really pass judgement on which is better. We're just happy to think that these can co-exist alongside other brands and watches.
I am a bit surprised with the finishing of the ring on the dial left under 6:15 in the video. Nevertheless beautiful releases with appealing designs.
We haven't noticed that before and it's most likely a form of distortion or reflection due to the polishing and not actual damage or imperfection. Upon inspecting the pictures we took of the exact same watch, it doesn't show up at least. Good eye though!! And thanks for sharing ;)
The overall design language is nice, but the movement layout looks out of place for me. Also the prices are pretty high, especially the three handers.
@@stevej4629 I have watched whole video, so?
@@stevej4629 Yes, what's wrong?
So beautiful 😍
Freeze frame between 6:13-6:15 you will notice between 8-9 o'clock the raised edge supporting the indices has a very rough finish. Now I know it's a macro shot but if you look at the other edges they seem to be perfectly cut. This could be just a rushed presentation unit but still....why would you let someone shoot it when it reveals that awful mishap. For this value too...
Freeze frame between 6:09 - 6:11 and the same area looks perfectly polished. It's likely lighting distortion or a resolution video artifact between 6:13 - 6:15 that makes the area appear rough.
@@carlus.s.dingfelderBetween 6:09 and 6:15 I'm looking and its the same to me, obviously from a different angle as the watch is rotating in the frame but its definitely not a video artifact. Looking at it full screen on a 27" monitor at hi res.
Understood, different perspectives!
It's due to the polished edge and sapphrie crsytal distorting or reflecting something. Upon inspection of the pictures we took of the exact same watch, it doesn't show up. Good eye though!
Really, 40 mm? Guys, we need smaller watches ! Saying this as a fan - and proud PF Tonda owner
As gorgeous as these pieces are, they’re really missing the mark - continuously - on the size.
Well, NEED smaller watches might be a bit harsh but prefer smaller watches we can understand. A large number of people is perfectly happy with 40mm and over, of course. Plus, this way there's an opportunity for a 37mm version down the line ;)
