Definitely a candidate for a one watch collection.
Only fuckers have one watch collection
Lol... until you need to work or leave the house 😅
One watch is not a collection, I think you need at least 12
@@Aztec1050 watch collections are an n+1 thing 😎
One watch is "a watch" I should know, I was a one watch person for 30+ years [a GMT Master], two watches is "a pair" and it's at three or more curated watches that you begin to be a collector.
Parmigiani is incredibly underrated. Hope they continue making such beautiful pieces
Incredibly underrated but incredibly pricey tho. Difficult to attract a wider audience when most would go back to your big Swiss brands like Rolex, Omega, Tudor, Patek, AP, etc
@@Bestow3000I have to agree with you there. Time only Tonda being what $20-30k is a tall order. At that point you’re coming close to a Lange 1 which is incredibly tough to compete with.
@@Oakley5100 Its way too tall of an order to price a time only stainless steel watch at such ludicrous numbers. They're trying to compete with big and established names. Its turning most consumers away.
Underrated? If you know, you know!
It's a $30,000 watch. It's not underrated. It's just not popular.
Thanks for highlighting this watch, Teddy!! This is the crown jewel in my collection! It was difficult to obtain, but that amount of effort might be what it makes it so special. Well, that AND just how remarkable the watch is!
@GreenerGrass now THIS was a crossover that I wasn't expecting
This is why I sub to your channel, Teddy. A genuine love for weird-ass unknown watches and brands. Refreshing content.
i was getting interested in it until i saw the price.
Thanks you Teddy and team for continuing to bring such great coverage of watches we would otherwise not have the opportunity to learn about. As a community, we are awash in reviews (some may say hype videos) covering the “hottest timepiece” of the moment. Your videos and blogs are a welcome counterpoint to this type of coverage. While there’s plenty of room for all creators, your approach of sharing offerings from micro to massive brands in every price category is refreshing. This Parmigiani is just another example of how many amazing choices are out there for enthusiasts at the moment. It is unique and brilliantly understated , much like the content you provide.
Thank you so much for this video! I have been absorbing all I can about Parmigiani since about January this year but have known them for over ten years. Glad to see you also love them!
This is a beauty. Spectacularly uncomplicated complication. Chef's kiss to the design team. Love the coverage of it, too, thanks, Teddy.
As someone who travels semi-regularly, I LOVE this design.
This seems like a great combination of cool and classy.
Thanks for sharing.
Such a beautiful watch. Absolutely stunning but minimalistic and simple too
I’ve had my eye on this the day it came out. Such a beautiful piece!
This is stunning
Beautiful watch. I am surprised I hadn’t heard of it before. Great find. Thank you .
Outstanding video, I was looking at adding one of these to my collection in the near future (non-GMT). 👍
That's honestly one of the coolest watches I've seen in a while! Wish I could afford it, so thanks for making a great video about it that I can drool over 🤤
Very unique , love it!
This is a STUNNING piece
The dial texture is beautiful. The whole watch looks classy.
This watch is amazing I love the simplicity and elegant design
Wow! This is great!
Hallo Teddy, I love that one can't see the 3rd dial, only when one needs to use it. Clever watch making. Thanks for the video and as always love from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Love this piece! It’s between this and the Odysseus for my favourite luxury sports watch
I love everything about this watch. The price point is above my self imposed limit, however, but I think the price is just. Beautiful.
I hit that Like button 👍 because of that analogy to fragrance.
Wow! Genuinely one of my favorite watches now
I love GMT watches...and this would be a favorite of mine, having the clean and simple looks I'm after. Very elegant indeed!
I will have to dream about it though...unfortunately.
This isn't a GMT watch.
@@seanmiller7187 it absolutely is a GMT and probably one of the very coolest ones out there
@@Konsul135 If it were a GMT watch it would have a 24 hour hand. This does not. How would you set this watch if local time was 6:00pm and GMT time was 6:00am the next day?
@@Konsul135 Try not to use words like "absolutely" when you have no idea what you are talking about.
@@seanmiller7187yes its a gmt watch . This style of watch is called caller’s gmt . And the one which brands like rolex makes is called traveller’s gmt .
That is a beautiful top notch piece of art.
I love this watch and am so glad you decided to feature it. The watch is way above my price point however and I don‘t wear such dressy watches. Doesn’t stop me from being a bit admirer of this watch!
Pure class. 🤌
Love the Pf Tonda line. The blue, grey, and gold dials are my favorite. Such an ingenious use of the rattrapante function. Have several GMTs so think I would prefer the one that jumps the minute hand. I know many would say it ruins the dial, but I find the date function on the grey and gold practical and subtle. I guess 60 is adequate for everyday use.
Hey Teddy! Would love to see a video detailing your preferred / recommended method for cleaning our watches!
Beautiful!
Well, well, well. Teddy brings a bit of magic to my attention. Very cool. Will be investigating this handsome timepiece. Thanks! 🥂
This is a neat watch. Super elegant and clever 👌
That is a great piece. Beautiful cheese flower.
wow that is so cool, what a beautiful watch!
Tried one, along with the annual calendar, a few days ago at the local AD and it’s definitely underrated. Pictures and videos don’t it justice.
Stunning watch. Excellent watch brand, they make amazing calibres and now great design.
One question: does the GMT function reset every time you do a press up?
Really elegant watch 👍🏻
A gorgeous, clever and handsomely engineered watch I hadn't really considered. Excellent video.
Glad you enjoyed it
PF “ likes to be discovered not announce!” is a clever description of an understated beautiful watch!
Aspirational piece for sure
Love it.
I was not a fan of the Tonda initially, but it is growing on me.
That hidden GMT hand is fiendishly clever!!!!
It isn't a GMT hand.
Umm, it is. It is a true GMT, not the other. type that cannot be set independently.@@seanmiller7187
amazing function !!! wow !! This is one of the awesome functioning watch I might never have, due to the price :D !
That' a slick feature but does do the hand locations drift over time? The mechanical coupling of independent hour hands in my experience can drift with a year or two of use.
Next level watchmaking 👌🏽
That reset button in the crown seems superfluous. Even without it, it would easy enough to press the GMT button a few times (no more than 11 presses) to hide the gold hand.
I started to watching your videos , cause i want to buy a new watch. I really like your videos. Also would be nice to see some nice watches from brands like Festina, Invicta or Wenger. Those 3 are in quite same afforable segment 🙂
The GMT is so nice, simple and clean
Teddy, that Oris Big Crown Pointer Date looks great on you.
Thanks for finally and actually saying [at minute 8:31] what I've been telling other UA-camrs about this watch for months, that this is a DUAL Time watch and NOT a GMT. 🤔 That being said I do like this watch and love the brand, as I have a white gold Tonda 1950 dress watch, so I've put my money behind the brand.
However, I really wish that they had either included an am/pm indicator for the second hour hand making it a more useful dual time or made the second hour hand a 24 hour one with an additional 12 gold markers [to match the hand] thereby actually making it a GMT function. I would have even been fine with them calling it a "Travel Time", like the PP Calatrava 5134G of the same name.
Well done
WatchArtSci has been a huge fan of Parmigiani for years.
Well, I gotta have one of those!
Now, my favorite GMT.
Now this is a minimalistic design done extremely well. This watch is too big and expensive for my taste, but beautiful, nonetheless. Very well done!!
Parmigiani is King Charles III' brand of choice. He was seen with a beautiful gold chronograph with a GMT sub-dial during the events following his mother's death, for instance.
Exquisite design . . .
I guess it will never go anywhere near a swimming pool - I could live with that challenge
The brand of the King!
King Charles III wears a stunning Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Chronograph.
I always was impressed with the Tonda, that dial reeks of quality, non ostentatious quality, quiet kinda confidence... A secret threat to some big players in the suisse manufactures in the vallée out there...!
Agree that this way to display second time zone is very pure and seamless to operate. Not unique though, as PP has a similar movement on the travel times models, also displaying day/night for each hour hand
Loved everything about this watch until the price flashed up. Great content
This is like the "split seconds" version of the GMT? It looks amazing and there isn't clutter around when you don't actually need the secondary function. Best of both worlds.
Check the Ball Vangard the first day/date 12h GMT with hidden GMT needle and day/night marker
Teddy, the Parmigiani is indeed gorgeous; however, 28k is a lot.
I'd love this same functionality in a more sporty/rugged GMT, like a diver. So much more convenient and user friendly than fiddling with a crown.
This is a beautiful watch but would feel conspicuous in a casual travel setting. Great business travel watch though. Great bracelet, but lacks a micro-adjustment which should be a given at that price point.
It was a toss up between this GMT and the Minute Rattrapante for my next watch. I’m glad PF is seemingly finally getting the respect they were long due and Guido’s leadership really has gone a long way for improving brand image. I’m hoping that I get my hands on my PF this year.
It's not a GMT and while a novel idea, it's a lot to spend on a "dual time" watch. PF got lazy with this one, and calling it a GMT when it is not, does not make it so!
How does one move a 30 minute increment? While setting a gmt arrangement?
Is PF actually delivering these to customers? I was told they paused deliveries because the complication was being redesigned...
Teddy PLEASE review the Upside Down watch if you can by Ludovic Ballouard
Hope more brands use this gmt complication!
It's not a GMT! It's a "dual time" complication, and they can be had for a lot less than the $28K asking price. My modded SKX007 with a dual time, 12-hour bezel will do essentially the same thing for $500. Oh, and as a professional world traveler for 40 years, I have just a little experience with this.
Think that the parmigiani is a very beautifully crafted luxury timepiece. Would suit a gent who is very self assured and confident and doesn't need to be over the top.
Thanks Teddy for introducing yet another amazing brand. I wish I could just be happy looking at this video and not think about owning it one day!
Can you do one on thin watches?
Are they keeping their values well?
I love this watxh
Lovely! But what if you travel to India where the time difference with my time zone is xx:30?
If it's not that expensive, I'd definately get one.
Great piece indeed, but the crown button is redundant and sticks out - it takes at worst 11 lug button presses to reset to home as well.
Wow❤
Lovely watch….a little pricey though? I wonder if a value in secondary market?
Come on. How cool is that!
Pf❤
I like these watches but I wish they had a second hand. Something about missing the second hand bugs me. To be honest, this watch reminds me of my horage supercede. It's got a skeletonized gmt hand that also can hide under the hour hand. It's also very similar in shape with the integrated bracelet and a microrotor. I will say though that the horage has a fantastic micro adjustment. It's one of my favorite implementations of micro adjustment.
Parmigiani Fleurier? Sounds like it would go good on pasta
Very expensive pasta. It had better come with truffles and gold leaf for that price.
The translation from french of rattrapante / rattraper as a verb would more accurately be catching back
Really nice watch.
Only 2 things about it I don't like.
For me the hidden hand would need to be much darker, so that when not hidden the time is still is easily readable with 2 hands, and a subtle 3rd hand. In the video at least, it looks unreadable to me once all 3 hands are visible.
The other thing I don't like is the price as I can't afford one ;)
Clever
Such a fresh breeze, but no lume, no deal
God I love this watch.
Beautiful luxury watch . The way they provide dual time is truly unique . It is very rare that somebody talk of PARMIGIANI . Is it because PARMIGIANI is designed for an elite (happy few) ????
At 3:21 you misspoke it is the "Normal" silver hand which advances, sorry to be pedantic😎, I absolutely love this watch but my piggy bank is a little short at the moment😱 A true dress watch with no second hand.
Me like watch
I literally gasped at the price lol wasn't expecting it to be that level watch
endgame material
Wow, incredible watchmaking here! And for the record, I personally really like when you're bringing up new watches and brands that are outside the mainstream awareness - this is exactly the type of watch I'd get ....if I had the money 😝
