Keep up the great content Cameron. Appreciate you taking the time to not only let us watch you work but to also explain all the finer points of what you face each day. Be safe out there on the job and keep up the great work with your videos.
That what i use to do i pick an object if im going back to the same area & its a plus when you have a good rigger when your working in the blind also ! Stay safe !!
The placement of car body weights in this application and tonnage of crane I’ve never noticed a difference in location effectiveness. I’ve operated terex(land and water), Kobelco, and manitowoc in the 100 ton full ctw configuration. I would be interested to see you test your theory in a controlled situation. I think you could yield highest capacity over the front using wedges under your toe. Liebherr carbody (1200&1250)weights are the best IMO, they cover such a large area it’s like a whole deck to walk on and they are high enough that when you get in trouble sinking the don’t fall off. To be honest those cranes are so nice I wish I never ran one! ✌️ great videos by the way!
The bad thing about sany is they don't give any chart for blocked crawlers. I do have blocks and use them when I'm working max cap over the front but there's no extra chart like Manitowoc has. Also they don't have a stability diagram they just say this gives greater stability when working off the side.
I like when they tell you to carry the load when you can’t see it. 🤦♂️ Give me one function at a time please!?! You can get a feel for how much you’re carrying but it’s usually still kinda iffy. And I’m not a big fan of using my phone and Bluetooth when I’m in the blind because it seems like there is a delay
Yeah, boom down and hold the load is a pain when you can't see the becket. I try counting the clicks but that doesn't tell you how fast the boom is moving. And I agree that there's some lag on the phone system. I usually carry two or more radios but that's the radio guy in me.

Wow that looks like a high pucker factor working long reach with a wall in your face

Excellent video…
I like the information. Some day I hope to operate a tracked crane.
For now I have to keep sending materials on our 81’ boom truck.
