well... if you want to have your own F1 team you first need to make some Redbull. I hope this car will serve as a step towards releasing more "real" Alfas, and nothing else
When you look at any Italian car it should start your heart racing (at whatever price point). Oh dear Alfa, just another European/Japanese looking, impractical, small SUV and even worse it's an EV. De-badge it and take the AR wheels off it (replacing with a standard looking road alloys) and paint it white or silver and you wouldn't think it's an Alfa. Alfa's have always stood out on the road. This, I'm afraid does not! An estate/touring/wagon AWD petrol Giulia would be nice. The Giulia is a very pretty car in saloon/sedan form, it would probably be even prettier in an estate version. Come on Alfa make one PLEASE! It would sell very well and take UK market share away from the Germans. Which look all the same to me nowadays.
The italian government is fighting against the so called "italian sounding" (non italian made products using italian naming to artificially suggest premiumness, noble origin, and higher price ) which is an abusive practice that costs billions to Italian companies each year. To keep the battle against false origin coherent, It make sense to stop Alfa Romeo/Stellantis, since "Milano" suggests milanese origin. The car might have the spirit and the feel of Alfa Romeo (I hope), it is not an 100% italian car.
