I've been using my Bellroy Hide & Seek for traveling since there are so many places that only deal with cash, and I'm super happy with it! What's great about the hidden stash is you can put all your "secret" stuff like vital medicine, and other nice protections. I also carry a photocopy of my passport in the wallet. What i do other than you did in this video is to have the coins in the middle pocket and not the secret pocket since then they won't be sticking out on the back.

@@Nomads.Nation sorry I was more directing the question to @wigglylove. But since you are replying, does the hidden pocket for the coins keep the coins in the wallet well. Like would it fall out of the wallet? I usually put a key in my wallet that has a buttoned pocket and wanted to make sure something important like my keys won't slide out from the hidden pocket.
@@caseylee4097 its not vault-like secure, but they stay in place pretty well in my experience
I use this one as my everyday wallet! I do find it slightly bigger than what I need, but I don't want to spend more on another wallet. When travelling, I use the coin wallet since I'd likely be using cash in many places and need a coin section, or a secondary card/ID storage. I also use the card sleeve for things i use more often, such as the commuting card, travel credit card, and a small bill. This helps keep my other wallet safe in case of pickpockets.

Just got an ad for this wallet on UA-cam and just had to have a look at what this wallet is. It really does look brilliant. It’s just as a student it’s stupidly marked up, it’s just something that I won’t afford at the moment
It’s gorgeous and very well made, so because of that it won’t be cheap! But definitely something worth saving for if you are really looking for an amazing wallet
I have hide&seek for nine years now, exact same color combination. It is holding very well and leather aged well. The only thing I don’t like is metal owl, I always think it might scratch my phone, although it never happend for 9 years 😁 I like embossed owl they use on a premium version of this wallet. I was thinking about ordering that one recently, but mu current hidr&seek just wont fall apart, so I’m stuck with it 😂
The metal owl looks very cool imo, but I totally get your concerns about it possibly scratching your phone (even though it hasn’t yet lol)
This is one of the best reviews out! I have the hide and seek java lo wallet and its pretty sweet! Ive come from a classic dad wallet so its hard for me to downsize. I dont like to carry too much but got to have all the stuff in there that I might use at some point 😂 ive tried the slim sleeve and its a nice one but im not a fan of folding cash and the cards are not the nicest to pull out. If you dont carry cash or need many cards, id definitly go for that one. Cons of it I reckon is the hidden cash part.. that flap gets annoying and its probably a bit unnecessary but all in all a cool feature none the less! Great wallet 👌
yea the hidden cash sleeve, i'm still not sure about how useful/funtional it actually is. That aside, this wallet is basically a masterpiece
Another great review. Hide & Seek wallet is great, can accommodate many cards + coin pocket is great, keeping sleek profile at same time. Unfortunately I noticed flap for hidden pocket is popping up, at least in navy variant of the wallet. At the end I swapped it to another travel wallet can fit also passport, sacrificing coin wallet that I actually do not use
agreed on the hidden pocket.... jury is still out on it

Do some of the wallets have minor stiching differences? I purchased one with a slifhtly different stitch on one part...im curious if its a fake bellroy
Bellroy is constantly changing their materials and production methods so it’s hard to say for sure. If you bought it second hand then the best thing to do is reach out to Bellroy to see if they’ll help
What color is that specific wallet you are reviewing? I really like that color.
unfortunately I'm not sure and Bellroy is always switching out their fabrics/materials, so it might not even be in stock anymore. Best to reach out to their customer support to see if they can point you in the right direction

Not sure about this one but the Note Sleeve can fit both without having to fold them.

Just bought it in Caramel for my bf as an anniversary gift!
This brown one sure is beautiful! But the store I bought the wallet from (in Tokyo) only stocked black, grey, green and caramel. 😅

@@Nomads.Nation Well generally you want to see double stitching on high end wallets. The stitching is pretty much the only part of the wallet that can fail, generally speaking it's fine but most high end wallets will include double stitching.

I carry cash and coins so this is the bomb, its just overpriced

Sorry, wallet looks like a POS. Lets ask better questions. What is 'eco tanned' leather? In the world of premium leathers there is only Veg Tanned and Chrome tanned. Anything else is low grade bonded leather. Which is what this looks like. Pores? None. Wrinkles? None. Bug bites? None. Did it even come from an animal? Unknown.
Construction: Appears machine sewn (cheap.) Appears derived from a single piece of material on the interior card battery (again cheap.) Lining is fabric (cheap.) Edges are folded, which can't be repaired when worn through. (bad design) About the only reprieve I see is that the edges are reinforced. Of course they'd need to be considering the product material is so soft, it has the structure of upholstery.
Look people. (sighs) I don't care if you buy floppy immaterial wallets made from plastic. I just want to add that if you spend under $100 on something like this, you get what you pay for. Advice: Always look for leather wallets that describe 'in detail' the kind of leather utilized. A craftsman that cares will include it. Would say something like ' Italian Veg Tanned Bovine Leather, hand stained with waxed finish. Proudly handsewn and hand assembled in USA/Italy/Spain/Japan etc. They cost a bit more,..but the quality is superior and they LAST decades.
thanks for your feedback! but I love the look of this wallet (and clearly many other people do), and it doesn't bother me at all that it doesn't come from an animal, in fact I think that's the appeal for many people.
