Yes, the Ridge Wallet can scratch up your cards over time. The tight fit and rigid metal frame cause friction when sliding cards in and out, especially if you're frequently accessing them. This is more noticeable on cards with raised numbers or finishes that are prone to scuffing. If card condition is a concern, it’s something to keep in mind with minimalist metal wallets like the Ridge.
I've never had any issue with the functionality with my Ridge Wallet, even when I first used it. The problem with some is that they do the accordion method in accessing the cards in the middle. That's definitely not the right way to access the cards. Just simply push the cards out and fan it. It's so easy unless you're using 10 or more cards, and if that's the case then you shouldn't be using a minimalist style wallet in the first place. It's only ideal for 7 or less cards.
Hello there! We apologize for the interruption. As a new wallet manufacturer, we are currently in the market research phase and would like to conduct interviews with individuals who have previously purchased Ridge Wallets. The interview format is still being determined, but it will involve asking you some simple questions about why you chose to purchase Ridge Wallets. As a token of our appreciation, we are prepared to offer remuneration for your time. Would you be interested in assisting a small business with its preliminary market research? If you are, please let us know, and we can discuss the details of the remuneration. Thank you very much!
I just received one of these for my bday. It looks nice, super compact but like you said, its not very functional. I use my debit card several times a day and its a really pain in the butt to get the card out. I pull out this nice bright red, slick, compact wallet... and look like a dummy fumbling getting my card out. I have actually loaded up Google pay and going to try that, since pulling out my one of my 7 cards is a little inconvenient. I dont really think its worth the price of 125 bucks for the Ridge red. At least some of the proceeds of the red edition go to a cause.
I love my ridge wallet...it's got the RFID blocking technology, it was the only minimalist metal wallet that came in Realtree camo in the whole market across all manufacturers, lifetime warranty, pretty small and lightweight yet durable. Also (as this is just a small little thing that only applies to a very small amount of people) when it came to shipping, it came from NJ and being from PA it made it arrive so much more quickly and thus allowing me to get rid of the old style bi-fold wallet even quicker. Something about the Ridge just makes ya feel like a million bucks whipping that baby out to checkout or like you said just sitting out on a table/counter. Great video and honest review!

after so much hype I bought one. The next day sent it back. Doesn't work for me. 1. Half of my cards embossed 2. Even with flat cards I will have to spend days "getting used" Before buying I was ready to accept it will not fit some laminated off-standard laminated membership cards. But now it's too much CONS with so little PROs
Thanks for the review. They looks great, but I don't think it's work paying in the $100 area for just a slim card holder though. But, I will definitely look into those more cheaper alternate wallets you mentioned.
Looks cool but I think is not slim enough I usually carry a business card holder which is a lot slimmer and it fits my cards and business cards perfect.
i dont see how its worth spending 100$ on a wallet that you need to take the cards out to even get the one you are looking for. i like the bifolds where i can see the card im pulling. ridge is just like a fat stack of cards sitting on top of each other
A silicone sleave on the back of my phone, costs 6 dollars, fits 4 cards easy, can be streatched to 6. I never carry more than 4. and since my keys are at a landyard from a beltloop at all times. as long as I have my phone and my pants. I'm good. ridge looks kinda cool on the surface. at 40 bucks I'd buy it, but at the prices they have now, no way. and money clip and coin tray. who even uses cash in 2024? How people are buying 2 slabs of alu and a rubber band for 150 dollars is beyond me. Not worth the price. especially when you have compedators that are both less expensive and have more features.

Mine is carbon fiber and almost 1 week in, definitely like it. Handy for law enforcement work. Small enough for my pockets.
great to hear!

Man I agree, I NEVER carry my wallet in my back pocket, even when I used to carry a bulky wallet!
the back pain is real.
i dont understand why people do, we have 2 front pockets.. one for your phone, one for your wallet, its far more comfy

Have you tried the trayvax contour? I think I will stick with it a little longer.
Does the aluminum wallets scratch easily? Im guessing the carbon wallets dont scratch the color off like the aluminum ones do
Thanks for the review Khoi.

Ridge looks cool but Ekster is where it’s at!!

I have a ridge wallet love it but it sure tears up my dress pants pocket.
Haha six flags! Haven’t seen that in a while
Don't like the way cards fan out there's plenty other brands that are better like Trayvax Contour, Aviator Wallet, etc

Every shot is out of focus.

Why do Americans say "Aluminum" when it's Aluminium?
why do brits say ello instead of hello
@@elgatowis17 to make the word shorter not longer 😂
Because we can.
