To add to this, it's that we have too much choice these days. Back in the day, there were fewer options so we just had to be content with that. Nowadays we are too confused to even begin. Best thing is to move forward and start trying things. And see what you like
I’m 64,and I’m a retired pharmacy technician. I still don’t know what I want to do for the rest of my life! Lately, I’ve been decluttering and cleaning out my house. Getting rid of stuff that’s junk. The good stuff I do keep,I know my son will want it. But my daughter, she’ll throw all my stuff out!
So true everyone is an expert or has a podcast or talk show now! It’s overwhelming self help advice everywhere 🤦🏽♀️ it’s time to take a step back from it all !
Love your stuff Tim, youve also helped me so much and so many others. 24 years old and im done with living by the book. I gotta declutter the house so badly. 😅
I'm 35 and I'm still learning what I want to do with my life even though I'm working trying to survive out here. I'm so tired of the news and social media to a certain degree.
I used to have this problem but I don’t anymore now that I’m in my late 30s. What I realized is that I was too afraid to admit what I wanted to do with my life because it was unconventional and I didn’t think I could achieve it. I’m now going after it (playing music professionally) and I feel so FULFILLED. And going back to your garage analogy, I had to start getting rid of things that got in the way of me playing music. Decreasing my hobbies, shrinking my friend groups so I prioritized friends that meant the most to me. So I could spend more time with what I valued most while still pursuing music. I always love hearing your thoughts Tim! Thanks for sharing
We have to stop being afraid of being who we really are... stop being so afraid of what other people will think of us and what we do... thanks for sharing! ❤
I can relate to this. I've spent the last five years working on creative ventures. I enjoy it, but still feel some shame because it doesn't produce income like previous "real" jobs. Still adjusting. Good luck to you on your journey 🙏🏾
@@workingtwiceashard yeah the shame is so real. I totally understand that feeling. I try to remind myself that it’s coming from my ego and not actually me. But it’s rough either way. Btw, what you’re doing is amazing!!
Now that my kids are on their own, I feel lost lol and I’m 53. I’m not sure what I’m meant to do now. So the adventure will be to figure it out!! And yes I need to declutter. That’s what I’m doing now.
True facts facts you can know someone for 10 20 years if they drain your energy stay away from them I don’t like their negative opinions thanks Tim for being humble and help ppl here
Well said! One of my favorite things to do is take a walk in nature or the park without music, and just be there, simply. The answers to life and what I would enjoy doing often arrive for me in those moments of solitude and calm, without all of the extraneous distractions and overwhelming chaos of the world!
I don’t like excess junk and all the negative energy it carries. If it was up to me I’d throw everything out…except for pictures and things that have valuable meaning.
HI TIM I LOVE THIS MESSAGE!!! WE GOT TO APPRECIATE THE LITTLE THINGS BEFORE THE BIG THINGS COME!!! THANKS MY BROTHER FOR SHARING!!! STAY SAFE OUT THERE AND ENJOY YOUR THANKSGIVING DAY!!!🙏🏽❤️
It sure is a thing bud, it all boils down to purpose. Once we were born, hunted our food and built our own homes. Our purpose was to survive and live, now it's following instructions given to us which we have to follow and making corperations rich while held by.... Now we are not allowed to do this beacuse of law and societal pressure, and so we work for money hard, stress out and try to aim for a top career. All these things for which are given a value which is an illusion. Depression and being lost are by-products of society. As humans we have lost our true meaning and purpose under those beautiful stars, we are now machines sadly. What we truly want we are not sure of as we do not think, we do. I long for a free world, truly free.
So I once came across an essay that talked about what you are saying. We had purpose in our struggle and we lost it, and it's causing lots of issues in society. It was really an impactful read. Then, to my astonishment, I realized the essay was the Unabomber's manifesto! He wrote it decades ago and he predicted so much of what is happening now. Wild.
You begin to realise that “the junk” has never made you happy. You also realise that you’ve spent your life chasing junk, and if there’s no junk to chase, because deep down you know it’s not the answer, now what? So, it’s not about having, it’s about your state of being. Life means Love In Full Expression Do what brings you joy. Be selfish, the world needs more happy people. You can’t make anyone else happy, it’s not your job.
Guard your eye gates and ear gates 📖 be mindful of what you look at and what you allow in your hearing. Quiet the noise and ask God what you were created for.
It's about creating stability and structure with my unique life. Sometimes, I feel lost because I always ask myself, is this truly what I want to do? Is this what will truly fulfill me? I'm still figuring it out at 35.
Great video Brother Tim ..Excess is a good all incompassing term from all the extra things..excess crap and noise and people telling you that you need this or that..Its all BS you don't need any of that..👍👍
Timely for me. Im in the process of giving away all my posessions to sell my house in a month. I dont know where Im going next and this wasn't really my ideal situation. I guess I'm in the process of figuring out how to get to that happy life at 45 years old. Feels vey scary and out of control, so I hope thats whats happening 😅
Honest question: can your favorite WNBA team help you figure out what you want to do with your life? And when people's dogs run up on you, do you ever find yourself saying, "Who let the dogs out?"🤣 It's always nice to watch your videos for inspiration.

There is always someone telling you how you should live your life. You can call it "Madness of Society".

Yes to the walks! I just saw cedar waxwings for the first time and caught a leaf in midair falling from a tree.
Enjoy the journey. That's where life is.
