“The Dead Are Rising” by Les Payne is the best biography of Malcolm X. There were 5 men who were involved in his assassination although only 1 was convicted. 2 other men who were not involved were later convicted and spent years in prison although they were innocent. The guy who shot Malcolm with a shotgun from close range was known in Newark, NJ as being the main assassin but he was actually embraced by his community, including Senator Booker, despite being a murderer. Mr Payne spent decades researching his life, along with his daughter, who completed the book after his recent death.
A well-done and wise presentation, Forgotten History. Excellent job finding and presenting all of the imagery of X and the prudent scenery to push that narration forward. Well done!
In Houston I met Quannel X once. Not a good a guy at all and a stain on Malcolm, even just taking the name. RIP Malcolm. While I do not agree with Islam, you did try in a period that was the best path you could find for Race Relations.
I believe, due to Malcolm's severe allergy toward fraudulence and rigor to accept truth at whatever cost - had he lived he actually would have come full circle back to protestant Christianity as he learned all the manner of ways in which Muhammad and Islam don't add up to legitmacy along with the elegance in which Christ does.

This was extremely well done.
@@jaymack9442 I did see it, and I remember that he changed at the end, but that was a long time ago, and lots of documentaries since then leave that out.
I am a Christian but I stand with Malcolm X with his message of unity. Because he realized the hypocrisy of Islam he was un-alived shamefully by his own people in front of his family and you are almost seeing the same thing today in the community who would rather condemn and belittle anyone in the community who doesn't have the same thoughts and mindset as others. It's called wanting agreement and not truth. America does not celebrate Malcolm like they do MLK and that's a shame and very telling. God Bless him and his family in every way and I pray justice for his death to be exposed from the dark into the light in Jesus name Amen.
Sorry but I must correct you respectfully . Islam iscnot racially motivated and neither wascMalcolmm . You confuse Islam with the NOI . THE NOI are not muslims in any way. In fact Islam and Prophet Muhammad are the only religion to address and condemn racism and tribalism hence the muslim community is the most diverse on the face of the Planet . Malcolm left the NOI and embraced true Islam which changed his views on race relations . He explained this after he made the pilgrimage to Makkah in a letter he wrote to his wife . He condemned the NOI and Elijah Muhammad which ultimately led to his death along with his attempt to bring the United States to the world courts on human rights violations . I believe as Malcolm did and muslims worldwide that Islam is the only way forward and the only true religion from God almighty . The Bible perpetuates racial supremacy and zionism the two greatest poisons of humanity today . On the other hand it was prophet muhammad and the Noble Quran which denounced these poisonous ideologies of man . Hence , the reason why the west wages war on Islam and the muslims because Islam is the enemy of there world domination, colonization and oppression .
It was precisely by making his pilgrimage to Mecca that he changed and began to preach the unity of races. During this time, white Christians were killing blacks for their skin color. Showing the hypocrisy of Christianity and these idolaters.

Hardly...How many have you read? Have you read any of Peter Goldmans work?
@@Geronimo_Jehoshaphat if he became Orthodox that would be better but I am of course biased.
@@kknives36
The elegant solution of Divine Grace through Christ doesn't need nor heed ritualistic convolution to arbitrary glorify one's own devoutness in superfluous superficialities of this temporary filtering phase as manufactured to exalt the accomplishments of man rather than righteousness.
@@Geronimo_Jehoshaphat that’s neat. I am still not abandoning the True Church.
@@kknives36
The TRUE Church is anywhere two or more are sincerely gathered in accordance to keep Christ's commissions sacred. Everything else is extra curricular.
I definitely needed to see this. I did not know enough about Malcom X. I did not know he changed his views toward the end, and was killed because of his integrity, growth, and courage.
This is a perfect example of how people need to really check multiple sources for information. Lots of documentaries are out there about Malcom X that leave out a lot of context. This was extremely well done.
Didn’t see that Malcolm movie by Spike Lee did you?
@@jaymack9442 I did see it, and I remember that he changed at the end, but that was a long time ago, and lots of documentaries since then leave that out.
Thankyou for your balanced and kind analysis of Malcolm X a man who rose above the bigotry (on all sides) and saw deeper. Rest in peace brother
Thanks for watching
MLK was a communist who pushed the Marxist liberal agenda. Malcolm called this out.

Hey..... stop.... just stop with your utterly nonsense. The more you pushing your fantasyland silliness, the more indoctrination and hate you have spread throughout your thick skull.
Just go sit over there and let the adult do the talking here.
Having read The Autobiography of Malcolm.X, years ago, hearing the historical facts is so interesting!
I already know this is going to be great before watching.
Excellent presentation as usual. An excellent topic that many are unclear about with dangerous misconceptions
18:55 Sounds like he is right where he needed to be. "Speak softly, and carry a big stick." President Theodore Roosevelt
Very good video once again sir. Thank you to you and your team for making much needed information readily available to the masses.
You are most welcome
The 1992 movie about him is one of the greatest biopics of all-time. I feel that way, even though I don’t like all the other Spike Lee movies I’ve seen, including “Do the Right Thing.”
Nicely done! Thank you so much FH!!
When you are dead, your opponents can spin your story into whatever narrative they want to. The dead can’t defend themselves.
Same thing happens when you are cancelled or censored. Your opponent can create whatever version of you they want, and you are helpless to defend yourself.
He was becoming a force for good, he was truly enlightened, so sad.
Wow, you changed my mind about Malcolm X. I wonder how many young black activist actually know his full story.
I forgot how good this channel is. I learned a few things about Malcolm X. I didn’t know. Kudos to the creator/narrator.👍👏👏
Was surprised you fit all that info in so neatly. Great job
Thanks!
I read his book years ago. It was given to me by a Gangster Disciple facing a murder charge. He said I would like it. I, in return, gave him a copy of "That Devil, Forrest" to read. Both of us learned a thing or two.
Thanks for the video! I didn't know the whole history of Malcolm X before.
I've never read or heard of anyone who's changes seemed so much to come from just being honest. He was the living embodiment of "Just give me some truth!"
A fascinating story about a remarkable man. I knew little of him and that little was completely wrong. I think it fitting that his funeral was held in a Christian church. God rest his soul.
much respect to him for thinking for himself and not just being a follower.....look at some of his later speeches and it rings true today to what is going on...
MalcomX and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. should have definitely worked more together in the early 1960s. One of the greatest misses. In fact, I am sure both of their fathers would have definitely worked together in the late 1940s.
Colin. As always, this is a great presentation. Well done sir.
I walked away from violence twenty years ago. Had scores of reasons to act as I used to. Ego used to get the best of me. Never again... unless it's in defense of innocent life and limb. It's strange being a very scary man who is heavenbent on peace. I feel like I'm walking a tightrope.
Understood
So sad that as long as he was divisive, he was allowed to continue ... but when he advocated unity, he was seen as a threat. Our world is backward.
Guys… Forgotten history is genuinely one of the best channels on UA-cam. Thank you for your work and challenging my understanding of historical topics.
Thank you Colin for an enlightening look a a figure we have heard about and don’t really know about! SD Stevens, 19 Aug 2024, 0615 hrs CST USA
I'm glad you did this video. I had a fundamental misunderstanding on what Malcolm x was all about, because I had done no real investigation into him. He appears to be much more complex than I had anticipated, and I mean that in a good way.
I wonder how he would feel about how it all turned out. At least he had the intelligence to see through the bs. I have an idea he would be going along with Dr. Sowell and telling truth about any black man standing up for democrats.
Another Great video!
I always tended to like Malcolm, besides his racism, now I like him more.
Would love to see him and our democrat presidental candidate have a real debate
I always post in wrong spot
i also think that he and thomas would agree about a lot ,especially, their attitudes towards white liberals
He seemed like a truth-seeker, perhaps he would follow his dad in becoming a Baptist minister had he not been killed.
I don't think these two are on the same team and Sowell is the house type and dishonest type Mr X shunned, IMHO.
Thanks for the concise biography of Malcolm X. Most of it I knew, but you put it in the proper order to make it have more sense.
Thanks for watching
I really enjoy this channel.
I appreciate that!
He was exceptional as a black leader for being faithful to his wife and becoming less racist as he aged.
George Lincoln Rockwell.
Can you imagine what George Lincoln Rockwell would make of today's culture of "deifying" then?
*them
A man who is being vindicated with time
This is an AMAZING Channel! Very level-headed non-sensationalist coverage of historical fact. This channel should be used in every school in the country to start undoing the damage done by the technology/educational complex.
Any time you demand your rights instead of begging for them, you're a radical.
What a tragedy. You can see the pain in his eyes.
Division is how the ultra rich and powerful maintain power.
This was a very good episode on Malcolm X. In my 20's I did read the autobiography of Malcolm X so I am familiar with his life. I would say that he had a positive impact on American culture and society.
His bodyguard tried to warn him that he thought he had witnessed an assassination practice
I have been eating dandelion greens, by choice, since the 1970s. Wonderful, nutrious food.
Such a wonderful, open-minded discussion on someone who has been vilified by the "American establishment" for too long.
Thank you sir !
Malcolm was a great American.
Indeed
Heaton always brings the Heat. Never fails I swear. Much love good sir
Truly horrifying what finally became of his wife, Betty Shabazz. Killed by her own grandson.
Agreed. Thanks for watching
oh wow, I didn't know that
Agree
Malcolm X a leader, fearless, fair, willing to grow
Very rare to find especially today
Watch his interview with Wm Buckley
Peace and understanding. Not a lot of money or power in that...
Despite the growing personal disagreements with Malcolm X as I gotten older, he's an interesting man to listen and learn to get a better understanding of American history in the 20th century
Muhammad Ali had a similar path and bonded with Orin Hatch a mormon and forged a lifelong friendship.
Awesome, Malcolm X truly a man full of the good spirit, RIP Malcolm 🙏
So glad you guys made this episode. I've long wondered what the real story about Malcolm was.
After doing a segment on Malcolm X ,I'm wondering if your next subject could be George Lincoln Rockwell ? Great job ! This channel is so informative.
Who’s that? I’ll have to Google him and would watch
Oh shit haha. American Nazi Party leader.
Great suggestion!
I'm so glad some of you watched this video and came away with information about Malcolm X. As a black person a lot of us learned about him. Media is interesting. Some of you only heard the "bad" parts and not a fuller story. This is why some teachers and some parents are fighting against removing history from classrooms. This is what can be lost. Real information about real people. The good parts and the bad parts.
Thank you for such a n enlightening program. Definitely Malcolm X was bringing light to this world.
Very cool.. as a 60yr white man.. I am just learning about Malcom X .. I wish my schools would have educated us more on him.. they did a little but not this in-depth.. nice eye opener.. thank you
Thanks for watching
Another great video. I never knew about Malcolm X, makes my blood boil. So tired of all the corruption in our government. Just say no to communism. Vote Trump / Vance 2024.
Malcolm X family just brought a $100 million lawsuit against the government.
Well done, such a great summary of a very complex man! Really enjoy your fair and honest videos
Much appreciated!
Malcom’s greatest statement is to get OFF THE DEMOCRAT MENTAL PLANTATION!!!
No, Malcolm knew that there was no much difference between white conservatives (overt racists) and white liberals (covert racists).
@blackconfucius888 no, he referred to those that freed the slaves(Republicans) as wolves and he referred to libtards as the cute little dog with the free handouts. ..
Get it right, and keep yourself free. There is a huge difference and Republicans aren't racist. Stop lying about those you refuse to take the time and effort to know..
Uncle Tom played this game because he was selling his people out. Uncle Tom was and is still a Democrat.
I'm Sicilian, yet I've traveled all over Africa. I speak Arabic and get along just fine there. A fellow soldier who is black didn't do so well because he thought he was African, yet he couldn't speak to anyone because he didn't speak any of the African languages...
America and pretty much everywhere else isn't so racial as it is LINGUAL.
@@blackconfucius888 these "overt racists" you speak of freed the slaves... and you didn't quote Mr Shabbazz just now.
He called Republicans wolves and Democrats the cute little dog with free handouts...
The autobiography of Malcolm X is one of the most powerful I have ever read. If you have not read it I highly recommend it.
I did read that it was nothing like the teachers wanted us to believe. This is why I love this channel I was in a major accident in 2017 receiving a TBI! Colin & his incredible details for history I love has been a breath of fresh air trying to access my memory & return it to what it once was! Especially the others in the comments thank you!
Yes the guys at forgotten history great. To me a person cannot understand the present without knowing what came before.
I thought I knew Malcolm X's story, but I was wrong! Great video, thanks!
