Miroslav, This interview was recorded while Malcom El-Shabazz was still member of The Nation of Islam (NOI). When he broke away he was developing into a pretty good speaker. If he had survived longer I believe he would have become much better. Some things that he said that were not true were: The Supreme Court made a law: The Congress makes the law, not the Supreme Court. The Court rules on the constitutionality of a law. Counting slaves as 3/5s of a man: That was a comprise between the slave-holding states and the "so-called" free states. The slavers wanted to count 1slave as 1 person so they could get a majority of representatives in Congress. The states with fewer slaves wore them down to the 3/5s rule so the slave states wouldn't leave the union. DD
@@desultorydilletante4120 When you say that Congress passes laws and not the Supreme Court, it is the same as when someone kills a man and the newspapers announce that he was killed with a knife and the police an hour later announce that he was killed with a firearm, a dead man is a dead man regardless of the way he was killed.
@@МирославГлигорић Once every ten years a census of the total number of people who live in the US is used to determine the number of Congressmen from each state. The Slave owners did not want Black men voting but they did want them counted. Today Trump wants to reduce their numbers by not counting those who aren't citizens. Yet the Constitution as currently interpreted counts all people (young or old citizen or non citizen) not just those who are citizens. In fact caucasian non citizens and women voted in many states before the 20th Century. It wasn't till 1920 that the first presidential election was held without any legal voting by non citizens. Many government programs have money disbursed by number of residents not just citizens even if non citizens are not directly benefited.

That is the genius that I have always known about Brother Malcolm. The jewels he dropped in that interview still ring true to this very day of 6/22/2019! How sad is that?
And it's sad to see that our people are so behind intellectually, spiritually, economically and righteously in 2020 decades after the passing of our leaders. To be real, We're supposed to be an upgraded version of MalcomX, harriet Tubman, fredrick Douglas or even Marcus Garvey but instead we got a bunch of ignorant or and unwoken fools walking around in light bodies unaware of what they should already be aware of. It's crazy to me how people would rather complain, beg, & play victim every single day as appose to actually taking action to change their situation.
He was an extension of the NOI. Everything he spat was a paraphrased and uniquely articulate rendition of the very teaching taught to him by Honorable Elijah Mohammad, whom was taught by the Honorable Wallace Fard Mohammad. We can never excuse that part. The Honorable Elijah Mohammad was an amazing strategist when it came to who he appointed in which field of leadership.
Wylde Byll u gotta realize the time he was coming up in. This was the red scare; anyone challenging the system and the way things were was looked at as a threat. In some senses he was blessed by being jailed at 20 - I read his autobiography and he taught himself how to read and then basically spent all his time reading books from the library in the 6 or so years he was in jail. You can accumulate a lot of knowledge by that level of continuous study. Unfortunately most of us get caught in the minutae of the daily grind to really further ourselves intellectually.
This man was so intelligent that the establishment couldn’t deal with him. I did a lot studying on Malcolm X and fortunately was educated by his speeches. He will always be my hero.
Yes and unfortunately he kept it too real. Too true to himself snd the world around him, and so his words could be twisted to justify his killing and his being erased from schoolbooks.

Malcom isn’t as popular as King because he said that we can defend ourselves where king was completely against violence. But Malcolm X said that if you are attacked you can attack back.
I’ve heard Malcolm in another interview give an example of how through Kings method he is expected to just allow his lyncher to put a rope around his neck and not do anything to fight back. Malcolm argued that no, you must fight back and used that argument as to how the media describes it as violence because he struggles vigorously against the lyncher.
Uhh……..no. Martin was pacifistic, but he was not anti-violent and actively said, “Violence is the language of the unheard”. He and Malcolm completely agreed on a lot of issues and greatly respected each other

Which makes sense, since a lot of black people get murdered by other black people on those streets.
"He is very dangerous. Let's nullify him by keeping him out of history books and label him as a very violent person!" But truth can never be chained and shackled. It sets itself free everytime. RIP sir, Malcom X.

I was told he was violent and angry. Then when I got to high school a white history teacher I had taught my whole class about him and gave us his book. He had a whole stack of them in his classroom. And taught us about history. The truth of it. He told us all of the lies that were told. And explained in explicit detail how his own people stole from us. He felt guilty and opened up our minds. Miroslav,
This interview was recorded while Malcom El-Shabazz was still member of The Nation of Islam (NOI). When he broke away he was developing into a pretty good speaker. If he had survived longer I believe he would have become much better.
Some things that he said that were not true were:
The Supreme Court made a law:
The Congress makes the law, not the Supreme Court. The Court rules on the constitutionality of a law.
Counting slaves as 3/5s of a man:
That was a comprise between the slave-holding states and the "so-called" free states.
Kim O'Brien hi I very much like your answer and I was just wondering what do you think would be a good way for non-white and white/caucasian non-citizens to be able to vote so that elections of every kind are in a sense more “fair”?

yea, i noticed it was very difficult for the host of the interview to put his hooks into Malcolm cause of Malcolm's honesty. and integrity. also by saying clearly that he wasn't interested in politics but religious living, made it very hard for the host to catch him in any way.
perhaps malcolm is merely humble
100%
He is such an eloquent and clear-minded person. He deserves to be called a hero.
Hardly. Stumbles around his words and isn't saying anything profound. I clicked on this video hoping to be proven wrong.

The world still doesn't realize how much of a GENIUS Malcolm X really was.
They realize it, just dont acknowledge it. Imagine a united black world, would be unstoppable.
Bro he still is 💯
@1000 subs with no videos? Thats not what I said. Regardless, are we living in a peaceful world right now? I just watched a man get shot 7 times in the back, thats not peace.
@1000 subs with no videos? That's bullshit! If unarmed people all over AmeriKKKa are being shot and/or killed by police, dying via a pandemic, and/or being victims of crime due to a HIGHER crime rate all over the country then we are NOT living in a more peaceful world than ever before.
@1000 subs with no videos? George Floyed was killed by police and he was unarmed. Botham Jean was killed by police and he was unarmed. Eric Garner was killed by police and he was unarmed. Mike Brown was killed by police and he was unarmed. Freddie Gray was killed by police and he was unarmed. Now who sounds like a "fucking moron"? ANSWER: YOU!

Malcolm X was one of the greatest minds in the history of the world.
He was a modern time Muslim Saint.. mainstream Islam not Nation.
Fact
He surely was as a white child I was always wondering why people had it so hard for cultural or skin colour differences, my mother introduced me to malcom and wow talk about the precise obsevationist that puts it in an easy way for the uninitiated to understand, true gift to humanity ruthless as fuck but necessary

Malcom x just wanted us to have are own place but later he figured out that our nation is really in America we are the organic people of this land not the Indians , blacks of America is the original Indians , look up the chawktaw Indians it will tell you everything ,, blacks in America are not from Africa, blacks are the real Indians,, that's why they killed him he figured out that we all been lied to , most of the slaves came from and was already in America,,,,,,, America is our land but they refuse to give it to us because of racism
@@Arthur-wi8vg Sir, I already know this as a fact, and what's more about that is: native Americans have Chinese blood as well! Also, there were so many reasons why they killed Mr Malcom, not just that! but that was one of the main reasons to that for sure! The numbers of Native American Indians were more than statistical numbers (8 million)! Should have a minimum number of 200 million throughout the years!

When I was in elementary school which was from 1987-1997, we learned about Malcolm X, but it was mostly an introduction. We never learned about Martin Luther King, Jr. I began to learn on my own. I am a white Romanian man, and I have never understood racism. But when I hear Malcolm talk about it and fight against it, it makes me sad because he deserved better, just like every other person who is treated unfairly. Take care of yourselves and don't take to heart what people say. Fight for what you believe is right.

Why is Martin Luther King in my book each week?
