Pally is only boring if you do it wrong (ret) and don't get effective support gear and consumables. A Shield and one handed weapon, properly enchanted, can be fantastic. Carry yourself a stack of potions and don't be afraid of gear with INT, SPI or AGI on it. Same with potions, in Classic, carry some buffs as you level that prop up your abilities, as well as scrolls. Adding an AGI potion improves your chance to hit which means you hit more often, and if you have a blue weapon that means it procs more often.
Paladin is only boring if you level slow 2h Ret. People gear like an Arms warrior without any of the attacks of an Arms warrior and then claim the class has serious mana problems and has nothing but autoattack. Its like trying to play a Firestone melee warlock and then claiming the class is boring.
You can play like that but most of the people doing it completely wrong and then Ret is fucking boring. They use the wrong blessing, items and professions. First forget that blessing of might exist, use blessing of wisdom. First aid is your best friend, dont waste mana on healing spells. Always use seal of command at max rank not like all the clueless people who tell you to use lowest rank, judge it on cooldown. Go for engineering and use grenades for damage or interrupts on healer mobs, with your normal stun and later repentance you have an interupt every 20 seconds. Get 1 or 2 mp5 rings and with blessing of wisdom you wont have mana problems. If you do that you get an unstoppable killing machine with a ton of damage and nearly no downtimes with enough buttons to push not to get bored.
Ok comments here actually want me to try no cap. Sensei what weapon type should I use then? I thought seal of command works well with slower weapon cuz of procs but It seems better version is there. Faster 2H? Or 1H w shield? And why?
Private servers have been adjusting the pally to where on a lot of them you can Pally tank 5 mans and raids now. Sadly the class wasn't finished until TBC.
I think mana pots generally feel more impactful than hp pots for AOE pala. It feels like mana can always be converted to hp, and if you stop consecrating w/ 5 mobs on you, you die (regardless of how much hp you have)
Fiery weapon, and like said in the videos, I have already a lvl 60 priest. It doesn't need toooooo much gold. I spent 20g on engi, and the rest can be grinded back :p
Hey nice video. Recommend getting fiery weapon on a knightly longsword, use best sharprnung stones snd make a grind route of darkshire gy north. Ashen vale demons in NE. Then skeletons in south until 42. Then you get blessing of sanctuary and you can start grinding 6 mob at a time.

The main discussion is, that when people think about paladins being boring, they think about the AA simulator which is 2H + SoC. Which is true, but can't be said about getting 4 mobs on to you and surviving.
Belf Paladin is a whole world of difference. TBC introduces so much for paladins (improves performance) and fixes talents. AoE Paladin is fun in vanilla… it’s a blast in TBC haha

it depends how you're playing it and how you're looking at it overall. Ret leveling is indeed super boring. But healing dungeons as holy is decent if you can get constant dungeons. Leveling sword + board + consecrate is less boring, but you have alllll the boring levels before you are able to do it unless you're going the healing dungeons route, and not everyone wants to heal. And ret pvp is fun when you can get fights but of course you still have to go level. For the people that don't want to heal you definitely have a lot of boredom ahead of you before the fun parts happen.
lvl 1 - 20 is VERY boring, then Tank opens up in dugeons and you can heal with the same gear. Dps'ing is just not an option, you deal too little damage. Ret pvp is defo the way tho, I'll be doing that alot with dual spec. :p
I used to play a paladin that leveled in caves in hardcore. He was a mining engineer, and everyone was afraid of caves so they were full of nodes. Not a fan of alliance leveling so I had to come up with an RP. He was a dwarf miner that used holy power, a sword, and a shield while he mined.
Ret is actually fun, when u have Verigan's Fist fist early, Corpsmaker, Uldaman 2h , you are literally 3shoting mobs and feel amazing . At 50 it slows down and i think that's the time to go Wplauge and aoe farm, before that its pointless, maybe when u get knighty longsword it can work, but still you are aoeing like 3/4 mobs forever xD . in Wplague you pull ike 7-14 mobs casualy , xp/h is insane , its fun and bit challenging . btw i tought this was hardcore vid untill u died xD

I tried the 2H way, even did the questline solo at lvl 22 for Verigan, but I get frustrated by dodges, misses and parry's when it's not a warrior. as a Warrior you can actually fish with Hamstring / Sunder, so it doesnt feel as bad. But missing as a ret feels miles more annoying. I might try it again when I have dual spec.
@@ThoGreyClassic yeah, auto attack bot, but the power 20-30 feels better as a pala with Verigan, then as a warrior, with Wrlwind pala falls off its not even close , up to Bonebiter is barable, up to lvl 40, then its a disaster, it took me days to get from 40/50, should have swaped to aoe farm as soon as i got concercartion and sanctuary , but idk everything feels kinda boring in classic honestly, i just like to raid lol and do some pvp maybe idk xD
All things being said in the video. It's also not about being impressive or not, it's about the fun of paladin. I think you misunderstood the video. And said multiple times, you can level engineer ( not have to be that high as me, which is only 20g spent), and it will help you for leveling. The crazy good gear, i'm not gonna lie, the current gear I have isn't that great except for the weapon + enchant. Strength doesn't matter for the aoe grind, ideally you get Int/stam to get a bigger pool of mana OR you go the Spirit / stam route to have a bigger regen. I personally prefer int/stam. Anyhow, have a good day.

Obvious exception if you're like 5% hp, but you can usually predict the need to pot really early on in the pull
100%, I'm not the most well prepared pala out there! Mana pots > health pots because the amount of mana results for more healing and damage.
