I can assure you heating up the figure with water does NO DAMAGE to the figure. The blow dryer on the other hand does and will melt some of the plastic. Also, after heating up cool it with sink water.

You can make sure by putting the head, or whatever part in a baggie then the baggie into hot water if you're new to it. ;)

Great video man. I'll throw this one out there. You can use just a dab of vaseline. Or like a carmex. Think the size of like chapstick. Easy application just cover the ball joint. It makes it SO MUCH easier to swap heads. I learned this with the dani moonstar and cuckoo releases from marvel legends. I'm gonna try your poster tack with the ball joint from the batman vs. Superman prison lex Luthor to put the human head of cletus Cassidy...Carnage...on it. Cheers.

I just used the hairdryer technique, it was super simple. Fortunately both figures I used had the same head and neck peg size. But I was really nervous because both of the figures I enjoyed and I just wanted to trade their heads to make them look better. And it came out fantastic. Thank you for you tutorial

Thanks. I am currently making Evil Black Widows, Maggia from 'Suited' figures, and Kingpin Organization from Hood and Peter Parker buck bodies. I can also make Kingpin Organization just from Star Wars Black humans. Don't even have to swap out weapons as in the Marvel Universe there's so much hi-tech that 'street level' guys carrying blasters isn't that far out.

Hey bud, question for you that is like to see as a follow up to this vid. The newer Star Wars figures, as well as Bossfight use a double barbell neck set up. Really frickin tiny...

the new cloth cape has a tight hole that definitely won't go over the helmet. So it must be removed.

@ROCCOTHEGREAT Well not "EVERY" technique, what if the heads have different neck peg types from when they were made? Also, I take slight offence that this is in some way saying girls/women can't collect/play with action figures, or use power tools(don't worry I'm kidding,... mostly.) I want to change my Buffy the Vampire Slayer action figures to make more mobile and accurate looking, as well as characters that were never made. Customizing AFs (action figures), is not new to me, nor are power tools, Dude I have a Dremel, and I know how to use it (LoLz) I need help with neck joints, like disc joints, that have no ball joint, but go in like a coin in a slot on the neck, or the 1st edition ones from Moore Collectibles that don't actually have pegs, or discs, but can swivel, no up or down only 360 turning action I am trying to get one of those on my Diamond Select "Chosen" Buffy figure that has a ball joint, skin color is close enough to not have to change, but the older one just snaps, and idk how to remove the peg from the newer head without ruining it, I also have two figures with disc to ball peg issues too. could you see about helping with those issues, and without removing the head, how to shrink it but not a copy of the head, but without removing it and keeping the factory paint and shrinking it just a very tiny bit, cuz one looks normal, but next to the one I want smaller it's like a pumpkin. I never thought or knew of Poster Tack I might get some for future projects so I did learn something, as well as subscribing to you, you know you're info on AFs quite well. I hope to hear back. ;)
