"slightly above average" with 2 red javelins and a cursed jav by wave 11, followed by 2x hunting trophy, fairy, cursed diploma, cursed shmoop, fairly good crate luck, and tons of level 3 upgrades and items in shop while running negative luck? I think this was pretty freakin' far above average ;) Great vid dude!
The pufferfish explode based on your weapon. Ranged weapons cause 8 projectiles, melee cause 4. I guess the thinking is 8 right on top of like a Thief Dagger user would be pretty rough to dodge?
I just want to say that this guy needs more likes and subs I find his videos super helpful and fun. He helped me finish danger 5 on most characters. I hope you get more like man
I am waiting for your upload every day, and forcing myself to not watch any other dlc content of brotato to discover the new things with you. keep the work bro! ❤
20:40 on that map buff producers are eggplant-with-mohawk dudes (they also spawn 6 ground buillets around you sometimes), and those small tanky fishes selfbuff after some time wandering around. 40:00 ... and if that small tanky fish happens to be spawned with curse, it will become a thing that haunt you to the end of the wave because of how stupidly tanky it is with both buffs %)
I like taking torch on the captain and building elemental. Torch isn't a weapon that you want a lot of anyways, because enemies can only burn once. This allows you to go pretty far with just 1 weapon, benefit from the double bonuses from levelup. If you're lucky you find a flamethrower and can stay on just 1 weapon for much longer, but if that doesn't pan out, you can just go for a regular 6 weapon elemental build.
I think I went through it the hardest but most fun way. In this DLC, I used the strategy of completing all the characters my way without watching any videos. I did it with that axe that gives +1 damage; I used two of them and went for full speed and dodge. It was really tough, I died about 15 times, but I had a amazing time. Here's a way for anyone looking for a challenge.
I had a punny joke about your deep sea diving question but I didn’t want to offend anyone… those javelins do seem very powerful no matter the class! I am looking forward to a build where you utilize the lute on a class that it compliments; haven’t even seen it in action yet
One thing to know is that a new feature is the ability to retry levels. This is a must for the Abyss map if your skills aren't streamerlike... or the end bosses hit you 10x in 2 seconds anyway.
It is a very nice change imo to even have a chance to learn how to fight against new bosses instead of dying in 2 secs and that was your run as you describe it
For anyone having trouble with this class, if you're going with the 3 weapon option for the xp I recommend hard rolling for attack speed for the next 3 or 4 level ups. It was smooth sailing once I got about 30-40 Atk spd
Three notes from my own playing: 1) I think you’re going to love the Druid and the Gangster when you get to them, but they both take some getting used to. 2) Cursed Items are amazing, but BE REALLY CAREFUL about certain ones of them. Cursed Bait summons double the lampreys, I lost a run to that surprise 3) Getting the scaling/stat translation items (anvil, Vigilante ring, Grind’s, Hoodie, Coun, etc) makes the cursed weapons look like junk. They are CRAZY powerful!
captains xp buff doesnt work with one armed I think baby would be the coolest because with the mutant you should be leveling up well and you will just keep getting more weapon slots which will keep upgrading your xp gain
Problem is that engineer runs without getting a bunch of wrenches, is kinda rough, so you either have to just accept you'll barely level up and get your wrenches, or you hope to get lucky with structures in the shops. It doesn't seem very effective to me personally.
This tato is very hard. I will try rolling for early harvesting, I was rolling for luck to make the level ups better but harvesting seems to be the way
"Cursed Walrus" is not punk, it's OF COURSE an goth cover band of the Beatles! (If you know, you know). Anyway I would like to see a counterpart to the anvil, a "cursed ember" (dark souls terminology) that gives you like a ~15% chance to curse one of your weapons per wave, but also ~15% to remove 2 armour... also, it needs to be like level 2 so you can gamble early and either it win the run for you or it completely crash it...
Just thought of this if you ever have fishhook(? I think that’s right item I’m on console so I can’t play dlc yet) and see the anvil in a shop you should lock it until you get it cursed
I'm having such an hard time with the beta dlc so far. every character feel like they have such harsh malus vs their bonus. The only character I managed to win a D5 is the creature because I got lucky with a nuclear launcher and I cheesed the hooks to get alot of cursed items.
They just buffed this guy earlier to only 3% enemy scaling, which makes a sizable difference by the time he usually dies around waves 10-12. Still very much at the mercy of perfect level up and shop rolls, not a fan.
Either curse is gonna get nerfed or javelin is gonna get nerfed because a guaranteed crit at level 4 and no crit chance upgrade is insane. Javelin might be one of the best weapons in the game
Yeah - I talk about this in my most recent video I think, but I'm finding max hp less valuable and regen and armour/dodge more important in the exapansion. Since enemies do so much damage, you just can't get enough max hp to survive, and have to instead heal all the damage you take immediately.
What is up with gamers nowadays wanting to make everything harder? No, they shouldn’t have an extra downside. Go make a mod that gives that to YOU but stop trying to make everything masochistic for everybody else.

Yeah when I first played the game the guides and just learning about how the game works was invaluable
I am waiting for your upload every day, and forcing myself to not watch any other dlc content of brotato to discover the new things with you.
keep the work bro! ❤
Thanks very much! Glad you're enjoying them :D
As a deep sea divers water bottle, i can confidently confirm we do get taken under for dives. Thanks for your concern ceph
Thank you for your service!

Ok, that first elite was fucking awesome xD very cool

3mo run with mutant, captain, and the 12 weapon a lot character would be insane xp

At 26:08 was it better to combine because the 2 level 1 javelin will take kills that won't be crits, making your hunting trophy worse?

@@ronnierx problem is with baby you can't use the double stat gain no?
@@minhocho5487 once you get to level 24 baby starts getting stats and your xp growth starts getting insane, idk though maybe just do multitasker?
@ronnierx I had more consistent results with multitasker tho you are right, baby is extremely fun
The wave 12 elite shot its projectiles in a smiley face pattern. 🙂
Would a engineering build be good for this character?
Thats what i was thinking

Saw this run thought I'd give it a try ended up with 4 tier 4 cursed javelins its way to OP
Let me know next time Cursed Walrus goes on tour I’ll have to grab tickets
This tato is very hard. I will try rolling for early harvesting, I was rolling for luck to make the level ups better but harvesting seems to be the way
got that reference 🫂
29:12 another classic "we doodoo" hehe
we do do we doodoo occasionally, it's true true

all this weapons that give more dmg based on slots seems so good on the guy with 12 weapon slots
very true!
javelin is simply too good
Very strong new weapon for sure!

Should have taken that celery tea.
I prefer winning ;)
My best luck was shuriken captain high damage and bounce
Some of the DLC characters need some tweaking
good news! The captain was buffed before this video released!
@@alchmage3926 awesome! What did they change about the character?
Armor breaks even at 50? Why? Can you show the math?
at some point you ahd almost more hp regen than max hp lol

passes the celery tea.(good player
takes the tea.(ytuber XD
You got to be greedy and use your excellent skills to do what we can't and show off. XD
CRAPtain may not be the worst character but he is definitely the least fun imo
