Ive been so exited to see you cover the ogre its quickly became my favorite and most satisfying character i really hope you can combine him and loud with the gmo mod i feel like it would be incredibly satisfying
I really enjoy ogre with plank. The explosive tag makes your explosions bigger, so as long as you feed your stats right, the chain explosions really arc across the screen
I had a fantastic buccaneer run yesterday where I bought an oblitorator and it was beautiful. Love the content also it’s always a good day with your vids
Saw a couple of spiky shields in the first few shops and it made me wonder how well Ogre would do with them; an all armor and hp build, rip and tear, high regeneration. Cool class!
Pretty well I think! Getting the damage high enough for the explosion might be tough, and you lose the value from the +10 melee damage, but shield is a good enough weapon and gives you most of what this character wants that I think it would be a pretty smooth run

I would be interested in your opinion both on the new map, it's enemies and the curse mechanic, as well as the news characters, items, and weapons. Anyway, great video as always, thanks a lot for your content! I really enjoy the game as is but your content even improves that enjoyment by quite a lot!
49:20 Re: pearl, I mostly agree, but it can snowball absurdly on a high luck endless run...I had one run where I was getting a pearl from boxes like every other wave (and of course more pearls increases the chance of bonus pearls), and the +dmg is incredible for a free item with very high (100+) luck, but it does seem very bad for non-endless runs. I'd also suggest pairing it with some cursed treasure maps :)

I am interested because i managed to danger 5 all the new chars on the new map without nearly as much trouble as many of the base characters. Hiker and dwarf were the most difficult imo.
I´ve done a run with the plank, which worked also rly well together, because it scales with der explosion damage you get and can trigger multiple explosions in one hit

In Wave 12 you're talking about leaving consumables on the ground until you're damaged, but at that point you have two Penguins--I'm pretty sure you'd have been better off grabbing up all those random fruits for +25 regen.

I tried that uhhhh... more than a decade ago with league of legends replays and what I found is that only the person who submitted the replay was interested in watching it. I've thought about doing a review of another youtube creator's run or something like that, but I think now that coop is in the game that would make a more interesting way to do a collaboration (though tbh setting that up seems like more work than it would be worth since you have to negotiate revenue splits etc and I'm deeply allergic to business meetings these days)

Also while planks are subpar damage the bigger explosions from the set help and there's a very good chance you can switch to plasma sledge later, kinda weird Ogre ain't tagged for explosions imho.
The pearl on the beta was incredibly busted for endless, you could take 17/18 normal pearls and just one or two cursed pearls to reach 100% chance to find another pearl, then you just always recycle it, 100+ materials per crate. I don't know why they double nerf it, they killed this "exploit" by making those pearls worth just 1 mat, also reducing the chance of find more pearls was overkill imo.
We got 21 damage at the end of the game, but spent materials very early. Taking that long to pay off is why I think the item is weak - compare to Injection, which gives you 7 damage right away, costs half as much, and is a fairly mid-tier item

sticks are great for everyone, and ogre is no exception - if you roll into one early it can be very strong. The main downside is not getting to start with them, which leaves you vulnerable to bad rng, and having fewer defensive stats than rocks.
It's from the DLC! It gives you a %chance of enemies spawning with extra damage/health, and a %chance of items spawning with stat bonuses and additional curse

One thing I found (also on Rock Ogre), Attack Speed is actually not bad to take as long as you are gaining a lot of Health and %damage to compensate.

sadly plank dmg is low af early on. stone is much better. almost every enemy will explode, except the big tanks.

I changed to Power Fist mid run and it was much easier. The cooldown was a lot lesser than the rocks and T4 damage was slightly higher than rocks.

Yeah it's out of flavour but I think precise weapons in general are really cool for this character

Just did my D5 run for Ogre last night and got super unlucky with 3 elites on Xbox it was probably one of the harder runs I had in the DLC.
Loud + Ogre + Artificer could be fun.

Just finished a D5 Ogre Run an i had 1 Horde Wave an 2 Elite Waves. So i guess there is no hidden passive an you just had luck.
Sounds like a bug! It's supposed to always get 2 hordes according to the devs
