It didn't show up, I suppose because of the same reason the dwarf and the druid were already unlocked, some mod used the same name, but the Builder unlocks and item that gives you 20 engeniering -2 engeniering for every structure you have.
i think it's kind of neat (but sometimes frustrating) that they reward you with a new item that would have been PERFEC for the current character, because it gives you an incentive to go back and play that character again at some point, to see how much broken you can get it.
@@TheCJRhodes as someone that's not super confident at a d5 run I like it, it means im rewarded for completing at say, D3 first then going back for D5 with fresh ideas and some experience with the character :)
FYI cursed items can be cursed at different strength. E.g. combining two cursed weapons makes a stronger weapon than combining one cursed and one normal weapon of the same level
Super fun! I couldn't help but thinking about how silly using a slingshot would be. I'm sure it would work fine in terms of game mechanics, but the thought of your super fancy turret being rubber band powered was quite funny.
I have a few qualms about the DLC, specifically the Abyss map. There's a ton of tanky enemies, and it feels like everything has become more expensive. I dunno, it feels that way even with the vanilla characters.
Ao for the turret if it coppies all the stats of your best range weapon, how powerful would it be if you had a minigun or a rocket launcher? Cauae it was mimicing the reload cooldown of the revolver every few shots so it would definitely copy the explosives
I can tell you it's really broken with the rocket luncher, I had to turn off explosion oppacity because of how fast it was shooting by the end of the run.
Is there inflation on the tower stat gains (ie over waves not per level). Because if not it seems like it would be optimal to pick up materials early while items are cheap, because the opportunity cost (tower stat gains) are constant over time while the benefit of picking up materials decreases over time (as shop prices increase)
treasure map is rly good, especially with the new pearls and with the recycler you get a good amount of cash, but i rly think it was a good choice not picking it with this character
Builder's kinda an interesting sidegrade to One Arm. The starting point is a bit different, but you end up with one super weapon that's as good as like 5 other weapons. Builder's doesnt move though.
Curse is broken. It's too powerful, it feels like a blessing instead. The monster is more powerful = blessing to them. The items and weapons are more powerful = blessing to you 😂 It's a blessing in disguise
apparently it is 'Lighthouse' and because of the mod conflict of playing a character with the same name id as the Builder the game thinks I already won a run as them. The item is spoiler: +20 Engineering -2 Engineering for every 1 Structure you have
That sounds like it'd go really well with the Builder, considering their gimmick. It's always nice when a character-unlock item is viable on that character.

Great job, reto. You jinxed that poor brick and it broke, immediately 17:02
I'm glad Brotato is back - always a favorite! Speaking of favorites, I'm looking forward to Undermine 2 too.
Undermine 2 is PC only no switch ?
Underrmine 2 is coming ?!?!
@@keepitshort4208 Way too early to tell.
@@alexgv5803 It's in development - hopefully we will see more around the end of the year - maybe early access?
I wish someone told me about undermine 2

Im enjoying all these brotato videos, didnt realize how much i missed them
Always happy for more Brotato. Thanks for the content!
Can you imagine this with “buildings can crit?”
Why yes, I can! 22:30
@@Retromation i hadnt gotten there yet! My bad.
No worries just saw the opportunity to meme
going for slingshot is really good on this guy, merge up 1 weapon as fast as you can to epic and it just deletes the screen in the early waves.
4:29 @Retro - No need to wonder about ghost sceptre. Had a legendary sceptre turret give me about 50hp in just the last 3 rounds.
Awesome, can't wait till it drops. Looking forward to the couch coop aswell. Gonna connect my steamdeck to the tv ❤

Very creative character! Great video!
Game is fun, but it desperately needs a Banish Item feature as more and more things are being added.
Yep, it needed one before the update, and now it really needs one. A duct tape fix could also be a 5th shop slot, but yeah it is getting rough.
This character is looks crazy! Gmo run with the engineer coming when? Lol

i can tell you how powerful it is with the demon canon thing. very

Imagine this guy with a chaingun or whatever its called that does that huge number of shots before the small reload time
there are soo many builds that I'd love to see you get way past wave 20.
this character is very fun, a refreshing take on the engi
I used this character with the brick for the first time. The brick broke on the very first hit lol. Perfect
My phone autocorrects to broYAYo... But I was probably gonna say "yay, brotato!" anyway, so maybe broyayo is just quicker.
Engineer would be a fun character to revisit, methinks. Wonder if it can shoot explosive projectiles, for example :D
Hey reto, love the content recently, personally wanna see more brotato dlc!
Still think brotato is your best content. Thx!
what happened to the +12 HP upgrade at 17:25
If you had a chance to combine the cursed epic revolver ( with a cursed too or a normal one), would their curse value and cursed effect be retained?
Does it take on all aspects of the weapon? Would a nuke cause explosions from the turret?
22:30 it already could crit the last round it hit a crit like 3 ish times

Damn, now I wonder if the sailor was weak or the trident was a bad weapon cause these two last characters seemed like a breeze compared to the sailor.
i just want to say i think the shredder word be a fun choses

not so fond of char specific items.. but i guess as normal item that turret woould be too op :D
Hello there. The demo of a new Deckbuilding roguelike just appeared on Steam : As We Descend. Any plan on testing it ? Thank you for your videos
