Green Wyatt from Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory (which is surprising considering Hal later shares the same voice as him but has opposite personalites and in addition is from the Earth Federation whom Anavel Gato, sharing the same voice as Solid Snake, is from Zeon).

Though not as well-known as others like Hirotaka Suzuoki, Akira Kamiya, or Tōru Furuya, Tanaka has been around even since the 70s. He usually voices soft-spoken, mature male characters.
Not to mention Backbeard in the 2018 series of GeGeGe no Kitarō.
Hideyuki Tanaka also played Ben in Ginga Nagareboshi Gin(1986).

You know you're a legend when you had voiced Toriyama himself in Japanese.
So back then they just knew his voice fitted the narration/narrator.
Watching this, I realised Hideyuki Tanaka had a voice a bit similar to Akira Kamiya. Therefore, knowing Akira Kamiya voiced Kenshiro, I'm not surprised Hideyuki Tanaka was chosen to voice Jonathan Joestar as both characters are quite similar (muscular body, righteousness, forgiving, loving).
Also, they both voiced Ryuuken from Hokuto no Ken so yeah.
in his early years he sounded like Akira Kamiya... a little bit, but then his voice got deeper as he aged into this Ryuzaburo Otomo and Kenyuu Horiuchi fusion.

Saint Seiya, Hokuto no Ken, One Piece, Slam Dunk, Bleach, DBS, Cardcaptor Sakura, Detective Conan, Monster, Sakigake!! Otokojuku, Fuuma no Kojirou, Captain Tsubasa, Get Backers, Hellsing and Toriko.
@@yuriguilherme3432 I have seen most of your list, except for a few I will point out here. I did not yet see from your list, but plan to Saint Seiya, Sakigake!! Otokojuku, Fuuma no Kojirou.
I do not plan to see Slam Dunk and Captain Tsubasa as I am not a fan of sports anime (so I did not see Hajime no Ippo, Prince of Tennis, etc either). And I do not plan to see Detective Conan since the overarching story is very thin, it is mostly a huge collection of separate cases to solve, which makes the anime episodic, and I can not survive that. For the same reason, I can not survive Gintanama, Pokémon and all other episodic anime as there is almost no real story. "Case, monster, gag of the week" formula does not grab me, alas.
Additionally, to other entries from the list, the video has a few other titles I watched: Blue Exorcist, World Trigger, JoJo. All three are watchable, and each is better than the previous one, JoJo being the best, of course. It is over the top outrageous, comes from the same time and culture as Fist of the North Star, though way weirder.
Furthermore, I plan to watch Magic Knight Rayearth and GeGeGe (only the newest 2018-2020 version, though, not the multiple earlier renditions going back to 1967). Maybe other entries from the video are also good candidates, but I am not ready for more just yet.
