Hello from Reno Nevada! Mark your love for humanity is contagious. You are an angel here on earth. Keep doing what you do and thank you to everyone that is following Mark's lead to bring help and hope to the homeless 🙏
Mark interviews a lot of noble people on this channel but Carmen definitely takes the cake. He has no reason to help these people yet his enthusiasm blows me away. He truly gives new meaning to the words, hands on. Great video.
What do you mean by "he has no reason to help these people"? We are brothers and sisters in humanity aren't we, so why not? We never know may be one day we're the one who need some helps. So why not we help one another and make the world a better place. Peace
Love your videos and your love for the homeless. Jesus was homeless, and I've been homeless before, the homeless are our people and heroes 💙 God bless you guys
This is so great...I have been in a wheelchair, to a walker....to now walking alone....why because of Invisible people. I always advocated for the living rough...but was in an accident, and unable to even walk...and it was so frustrating, with low funds to boot....Mark and these beautiful souls...gave me the hope and determination to fight, so I can get out and help.. I am doing everything, I can, even with little things....just to put a smile on someone's face. I know it's not going to end this horrible thing called homelessness....But I'm trying to do what I can to help. I love watching your videos of this wonderful group of people. They are still working so hard for these people. You are all angels. Your friend is absolutely right about leading these people by the hand to get them services. We've had to do that for people that were not able to do it for themselves. It is heartbreaking to see these people in those situations, whether from circumstances or by choice. They need our help and compassion. Please keep up the phenomenal work that you do in bringing awareness and helping people. We love your channel Mark.
This is a dog eat dog world and some people just want to drop out of society. Like when they go for housing and no one helps them actually get in the housing, they just give up. You deal with rude landlords, disrespectful neighbors, keeping up the apartment, and it is too much stress. You have to really have a lot of ambition to go from being homeless to getting into housing and staying there. These people are often alone with no support systems like family and friends. When things go wrong, no one is there to help out.
except thats not the problem. The problem is drug addicts dont like living with people who have "rules" that interfere with thier addictions, so they seek a place where rules like "dont do heroin" are not enforced. These zones should be eliminated, not encouraged.
@@jonpluc Most landlords can't figure out or aren't going to be bothered with who is doing drugs in their apartments. People deal drugs out of low income apartments all the time. A couple of years ago we had to find a friend of mines mother I grew up with. She was homeless. She was a high school nurse. Anyway, this was in Saratoga and Schenectady. We met up with and found her friend first who brought us to her. There was a tent city behind a price chopper in Saratoga. My friend who went to art school tried to start a program called homeless helpers. It was to try to get businesses to put a sticker in their window to show that they were friendly to helping homeless from anything like a bathroom or to helping fill out paper work. Paperwork for treatment food or homes can be very hard. Even the phones they give only have a certain amount of time and half that time if not all is spent on hold. Her mother is not homeless anymore. Some of the people she met with her mom and took beautiful pics of have died since. It’s a sad situation.

Most of the people around the table, didn't want that to happen. That tells me that those people are greedy aholes that don't have a heart. Atleast the mayor did something.
I think those people who didn't want it to happen are not just greedy but suffer from psychosis. These people have entitlement mentality they have lack of empathy and a lack of morals and ethics. And by definition that is a classic sociopath. One of the things that most people fail to realize is that government is mostly made up of sociopaths this is true for local governments to the federal level. Society itself is basically no good. Yes there are some really good people out there who want to help and who volunteer but the majority of society are apathetic and a large segment is sociopathological in nature. Obviously varying levels you have your nondescript mostly harmless sociopath but then as these people get higher up in the ranks We're talking about full-blown psychopathological beings who are a detriment to society.
May God bless Mark and Carmen to help America homeless people, especially those who are downtrodden because of not their own undoing but because of American society which need to be address seriously and quickly.
reira miya its very hard to deal with the cold I’ve been in my car for a year and a half now this is my second winter. I Live in the North east right beside New York. Thankfully I studied primitive survival I know how to keep myself warm when I don’t have heat or can’t run my heat. It is brutal in the cold absolutely brutal but I would actually rather deal with the cold than the heat.
Shout out to the home schooling mom for having a compassionate heart for the less fortunate. Yeah, gathering empty aluminum cans n bottles is fiercely Competitive amongst the homeless where I live and not bad money since the nickel increase to a dime for each can or bottle recycled. I've had to scavage for them just on occasion to afford half n half for my coffee and I'd have to walk n walk till I hit the jack pot. So glad that one lady is getting into housing and not all of us have a strong support system of family or even friends to help us in our times of need so advocate workers are truly doing gods work. Keep up the great work Mark!! Hope 🙏💜🏠
Carmen looks getting old.... Carmen is a Good man..... I have being watching and following Invisible People, Mark is Doing a Great Job... I really Appreciate it..... And I Pray that Those homeless don't get Sick....!
Is this Ithaca NY? Keep bringing awareness to the horribleness of our failed society. These people are awesome, i hope you can make a difference bro :D
What an amazing guy Carman is. Building those small cottages on his own property to house 18 people at the last count. He even went to the mayor I believe and offered to build many more at one of the homeless camp sites, but was refused as they didn't want to make it a permanent site, but these would be smart properties which would be going a long way to giving many people a safe place to live away from the elements and give them safety and security and it wouldn't have cost the local government any money. Makes no sense. From London, UK.
Does the Cornell University community do anything to fundraise and support the homeless? My hometown is Kingston Ontario (Canada) and the local school (Queen's University), does stuff to raise funds and help shelters, etc in the city.
Yes. Recently during extreme cold temps the students helped Ithaca Homeless Crisis create an emergency fundraiser that raiser approximately $3,500! In addition, students are volunteering, leading workshops addressing housing instability and homelessness, and creating social media videos to increase awareness and promote advocacy.
Thanks for all you do because you never give up and still doing great things...So glad that someone like you is out here documenting and making a difference...My only suggestion is (and at the end of the day it doesn't negate your great deeds) but you can see some people on the video shots with you are uncomfortable because you put your face so unnecessarily close to theirs that I'm sure they can feel and smell your breath bud.. lol I'm not trying to be mean, just constructive criticism...You have a really bad habit of it...Either way the point of your video is being made which is awesome, but you should learn to respect people's space a little more especially the such near face to face can be felt as very intrusive...I love what you are doing but if you stayed in my face like that an entire interview I wouldn't enjoy it much and would probably be distracted from the nature of the video/interview... Much love..
I wanted to say I found this channel last night and can't stop watching .I have seen we're I live if someone is homeless and asking for money for food or etc alot people look at them like they are nonthing but they are just like us that needs help I help every time I see some one .I try bit the police will run them off because of someone calling and telling them there people asking for money or food .sad I am going to keep helping when I can
Carmen is also an amazing man. Helping these ppl as much as he can. Being involved in the “political” side of it all and helping the mayor to see the side he sees. I’m excited to see what they will be building for those ppl.

@@menuhin The medications that they give mental patients make it hard for them to focus and achieve a goal. They end up wandering and drifting through life.
Babu I’m taking care of my girlfriend with schizophrenia (and I tried some of the antipsychotics myself) - without medication they tend to become socially withdrawn and isolate themselves and have weird ideas to go outside to “pursue freedom” because of their delusions - with these medications it is very difficult to focus or get things done for normal people I just want to know how much % of homeless people are sane and how much are due to mental health issues
@@menuhin Sane is a legal term. Most people have issues with thoughts and emotions to differing degrees. I don't believe mentally ill people were just lounging on the sides of the roads and back in the woods unable to focus and accomplish things until the medications were introduced in like the 1950's. They used to keep undesirables locked up, now they just dump them on the streets with chemical lobotomies, and they don't know how to function in the world. People with focus might be homeless for a while and then figure out a way to get back into housing.
@Babu I’m not saying I’m on the same page with mental health medication Diagnosis is also just a medical definition, not just the word “sane”. Please watch the documentaries and training videos when they interview schizophrenic patients, my point is, these are clearly mentally ill people that one cannot even have making-sense conversations with, like in these videos. - for “mentally-ill” I am referring to those
I love how your videos can help make such a huge difference to people's lives. I think, globally, house properties are beyond a lot of people's reach. This is skyrocketing upwards all the time. What is needed is a cap on rents and social housing. It's the richest countries that have the largest homeless populations. They should be ashamed to say that they are first world countries, when they have people living in third world conditions.
Bravo to everybody that's helping the homeless way to go Mark and Carmin and it's incredible you're out there doing what you do. The way you talk to people with respect and respect them by not filming unless they want you too and laughing and enjoying the day as you're doing you're donating of the propane tanks in tents and Waters and things it's just amazing I wish Petoskey Harbor Springs area could do this kind of stuff to I don't believe we do if we do I'd like to get involved closer I'm not close to Traverse City but bravo to what you're all doing.
I'm very ignorant to this whole situation, but why doesn't the government donate old Military tents? To my understanding their very well insulated and can withstand winds.
It's a good thing to teach young people to be charitable from an early age and setting an example. Then we can perhaps have a generation of charitable people, instead of so much selfishness.
Thank you for doing what you do. I couldn't survive with all my health issues! But along time ago I made a promise to myself, I was going to have to pay my rent ( auto deposited.) So this would not happen to me. But I also live in Vancouver Canada. And it's colder than normal winter's. I wish I had resources to help. I've helped some young people I've come across, in the community. It breaks my heart to see these young people having such a rough go of it. In the 80's there was a huge push to close Mental health institutions and support for the mentally disabled. Sadly almost every single homeless person I see is usually coupled with some sort of mental disability or a drug addict. What a sad society we've groomed to live in, where we have more concern over feeding and sheltering homeless animals over human beings. Our only consolation is that our stay on this terrible planet is at least only temporary.

Such as those who have lost their way, struggle to just survive the day... amidst the pressure of poverty/territories/hate ..vanity... Strange how there exist individuals whom are petty in mindset and lack empathy and compassion. The world of humankind is oddity amongst all life's muses!

I just found your video. You guys are really good ppl. Its amazing there should be many more ppl in community's like you folks Wonderful. Much respect
You guys are soooo kind and humble 🤗🥰🤗🤣👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
All you guys are doing a awesome amazing job!!! God bless everyone of you !!!!
Thanks for this video Mark! I live and work in the Ithaca area so this video hits home for me.. Bless you!!
This is amazing....I do this in Toronto Canada with my kids....I have been a mental health and addictions social worker for 20 years working with my peeps to get housing and stay housed if they want and helping them I they want to love homeless....this video no wait all your videos and what you do is amazing.....I like this because you two are really making a difference.....in this area
My heart goes out to everyone single person who is enduring the hardest most challenging reality of homelessness.
@@archetypex65 I totally agree
May God bless Mark and Carmen to help America homeless people, especially those who are downtrodden because of not their own undoing but because of American society which need to be address seriously and quickly.
I know I couldn’t take the cold - the heat, yes...the cold, no way.
You could do it if you had to. The human body is amazing.
Cyrus Winingar I don’t know how to answer that, so I’ll just agree.
Me, too. I hate being cold.
lovelyvegan princess And just when it was starting to feel like Spring, here comes another cold front!! Yikes!! The world is messed up. 😞
reira miya its very hard to deal with the cold I’ve been in my car for a year and a half now this is my second winter. I Live in the North east right beside New York. Thankfully I studied primitive survival I know how to keep myself warm when I don’t have heat or can’t run my heat. It is brutal in the cold absolutely brutal but I would actually rather deal with the cold than the heat.
It is nice how these people keep such a good attitude in the face of adversity.
Shout out to the home schooling mom for having a compassionate heart for the less fortunate. Yeah, gathering empty aluminum cans n bottles is fiercely
Competitive amongst the homeless where I live and not bad money since the nickel increase to a dime for each can or bottle recycled. Hope
🙏💜🏠
Carmen looks getting old.... Carmen is a Good man..... I have being watching and following Invisible People, Mark is Doing a Great Job... I really Appreciate it..... And I Pray that Those homeless don't get Sick....!
Love the good work brother but DAMN are you all up in their faces in these interviews LOL!!
Imagine the halitosis.
I absolutely LOVE Carmen and Mark! You both are amazing human beings. God bless you both!🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️
Is this Ithaca NY? Keep bringing awareness to the horribleness of our failed society. These people are awesome, i hope you can make a difference bro :D
Just spent 18 months homeless in my car Richmond va. Need to go help my fellow travelers where I’m at now. Thank you all of you beautiful people
What an amazing guy Carman is.
Great job love it
Does the Cornell University community do anything to fundraise and support the homeless? My hometown is Kingston Ontario (Canada) and the local school (Queen's University), does stuff to raise funds and help shelters, etc in the city.
Yes. Recently during extreme cold temps the students helped Ithaca Homeless Crisis create an emergency fundraiser that raiser approximately $3,500! In addition, students are volunteering, leading workshops addressing housing instability and homelessness, and creating social media videos to increase awareness and promote advocacy.
That Carmen seems such a nice man. Really enjoy him!
Much love..
Your amazing, God Bless you for doing what you do🙏♥
I wanted to say I found this channel last night and can't stop watching .I have seen we're I live if someone is homeless and asking for money for food or etc alot people look at them like they are nonthing but they are just like us that needs help I help every time I see some one .I try bit the police will run them off because of someone calling and telling them there people asking for money or food .sad I am going to keep helping when I can
Carmen is also an amazing man. Helping these ppl as much as he can. Being involved in the “political” side of it all and helping the mayor to see the side he sees. I’m excited to see what they will be building for those ppl.

How much is homelessness related to mental health issues?
@@menuhin The medications that they give mental patients make it hard for them to focus and achieve a goal. They end up wandering and drifting through life.
Babu
I’m taking care of my girlfriend with schizophrenia (and I tried some of the antipsychotics myself)
- without medication they tend to become socially withdrawn and isolate themselves and have weird ideas to go outside to “pursue freedom” because of their delusions
- with these medications it is very difficult to focus or get things done for normal people
I just want to know how much % of homeless people are sane and how much are due to mental health issues
@Babu
I’m not saying I’m on the same page with mental health medication
Diagnosis is also just a medical definition, not just the word “sane”. Please watch the documentaries and training videos when they interview schizophrenic patients, my point is, these are clearly mentally ill people that one cannot even have making-sense conversations with, like in these videos.
- for “mentally-ill” I am referring to those
Don't hold back.....he didn't catch your sarcasm Mark.
This is a good video, more people need to help Americans homeless. God Bless You All!
Thank you
I love how your videos can help make such a huge difference to people's lives.
I wish they would allow the homeless here in salt lake city to do this.
you people are great you help the people no one cares about keep up the good work
I ❤️ you guys for doing this!
Good to see People help Will pray for warm harts in my country
Keep Up the Great Work ! You're making a difference! Angels Do Walk Amongst Us.
Bless you for sharing this
Bravo to everybody that's helping the homeless way to go Mark and Carmin and it's incredible you're out there doing what you do.
This guy is the kind of Christian I have full respect for! I can tell he is a man of faith and honors Christ.
good people with good heart, best regards for you all!!!!
Mayor Meyer has a good heart. Mark and Carmen too! Invisible People the most!
I'm very ignorant to this whole situation, but why doesn't the government donate old Military tents? To my understanding their very well insulated and can withstand winds.
Thanks what you do man love your video I am homeless too
Housing,housing, housing !!
Add good jobs and manufacturing returning from overseas !
This girl is amzing. I forget her name but i saw hew earlier. God bless her if He exist.
God bless you all. Why are invisible ninjas cutting onions around me when I watch your videos? :P
Carmen is the greatest example of a man I've ever had the privilege of meeting.
Thanks for doing God's Work, and helping the disadvantaged.
I'm so glad I found your channel last year!
Sending positive vibes your way.
PEACE LOVE DREAMS!🇨🇦

Cudos to you. Vancouver is known for extremely high rent. I live in Quebec....it's not inexpensive but nothing like your city.
I don't know, 200,000+ is not a bad amount of views. I think that's a good start to building up your following
I can’t wait to start helping more people and animals in this unfortunate world we live in
*"**3:00**"* Theresa having her items stolen, despite being poor... I can certainly relate to her predicament...
I believe:
Most People have lost their way... let alone their minds...
Such as those who have lost their way, struggle to just survive the day... amidst the pressure of poverty/territories/hate
..vanity...
Strange how there exist individuals whom are petty in mindset and lack empathy and compassion.
The world of humankind is oddity amongst all life's muses!
This is great I wish every state and town had tiny houses and the help Ithaca has I was homeless before I received social security disability sleeping behind dumpsters buildings and being told to move by police to where ? There downstairs hard to walk 24 hours a day.
So cool you help the residents
Mark please come to massachusetts. In a town near me my homeless friend Gary said they have many people watiing for housing. Gary is 17 on the list so that probably means 10yrs from now. In the meantime he lives in his pickup truck for the past 2yrs. I think if every people in every town and state in America adopts one homeless person this would be great. So we can show the Govt how its done. THanks for what you do.
That was the cute girl from Seattle who lived under a bridge. Amanda!!
Awareness , and people with a heart. That’s what we need more of .
Simple, and Awesome statement ! We truly need change that is governed by and Closer to The Heart. We can all individually make a difference..
Ur friend is such agood man I hope there r more ppl like him
Hey Carmen God bless you and all you do
School bus! Truly! This is what I'm praying for! I hope to get a bus, renovate it and go feed/clothe our homeless brothers and sisters.
