Wow that city has changed so much since I lived near by at ft hood army base in 1992. Thanks for another great video, good wholesome entertainment we appreciate your work.
my husband and I just started watching you this year and we can't get enough. You might be my favorite couple!😊You are absolutely perfect for each other.
Great choices! And yes, you get all your sodium & fat for the week in one meal, but we love it! Cuantos Tacos on East 10th in Arbor Food Park for tacos. Loro on South Lamar for an Asian Smokehouse. Tiffs Treats for some good cookies, icees/sno cones everywhere and needed during the summer, and kebab if you like that. HopDoddy for the best burger bar ever. Home Slice for some classic NY-Style pizza. Good vibes ♥
I like that, the taco guy did not “steer” you wrong on the beef tongue 😂. Earlier on the video I put it on pause and ordered a Franklin Brisket ( can’t wait) then back to the video
Hey ya’ll!! The last vlog was awesome but this one is off the charts! Well I’m biased because I luv you two and I’m a chef so food is my life! Dang now I want BBQ and Joe’s bakery that chorizo looked amazing! The tongue tacos 🌮 maybe not. Another great one…name your kids WE HAVE / A PROBLEM 🤣🤣…Get it Houston we have a problem!😂
Bouldin Creek Cafe is one of my favorites in Austin. It’s a vegetarian/vegan restaurant. I love breakfast and their lunch/dinner menu. Yummy cafe drinks and great beer. They have a delish blueberry cornbread with syrup. I always get their vegan Benedict called Renedict when I go for brunch. It’s a cool little spot on South First St and Mary. It’s housed in an old auto repair and tire shop.
For the best coffee in ATX and all around coolness, swing by Cosmic Pickle while you’re in town. And hit up Lewis & Leroy, it’s BBQ but get the cheese burger…oh lawd!
Just subscribed to your channel and wanted to say you two are the best at what you do. It really doesn’t get any better than watching your videos. I’m following here from Southern California. Nat you are so beautiful! I love 💕 y’all!! Again great job!! Have fun! A new fan!
You guys have been a go to last few weeks for info. Planning a trip to Nashville and had a few questions for you other than what I've seen on your channel, wondering if there's a way to reach you directly? Thanks!
Hey!! Thanks so much for watching! So glad you’ve been enjoying the videos! If you haven’t yet, check out our blog (www.adventuresofmattandnat.com) where we put tons more info and details that we can’t fit into videos! But the best way to reach us directly is either Instagram or email!
Man I loved visiting Austin.such a vibrant city and those breakfast tacos are so memorable! Love the Migas ones! Oh and you went to the Mecca of bbq! I would wait that long we have Lewis bbq and it is about an hour wait. Looks so delicious for sure. Great tour need to get back there! 🎉
Awww yay! That makes our day to hear! We always want to showcase amazing local spots if we can! Thanks so much for watching & for your kind comment! 🥰🎉
Hope you tried Chuy’s Tex-Mex. The creamy jalapeño dip is ADDICTIVE! One of my favorites is the “Chuychanga” with beef fajita! They make their own flour tortillas in house. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.😀 “Juan in a Million” also makes great breakfast tacos.
We have a couple of Chuy’s in Nashville (where we live), so we’ve been many times! And you are correct… the Creamy Jalapeño dip is addictive! Lol… Thanks for watching!🥰
@ We are originally from Austin where Chuy’s started (on Barton Springs Road just outside the entrance to Zilker Park) in about 1981. Classic Tex-Mex! I have relatives that live in Franklin. When we go to Nashville we try to make it to Chuy’s. Great Austin video!
Breakfast tacos looked yummy. And that Texas size donut was incredible. I ended up at Stubbs while in Austin, it wasn't memorable. My most adventurous food was a soup made out of beef cheek. It as very tender and flavorful, not gamey at all. Matt, applaude you for trying the tongue
Right?? I know what we had was delicious and the breakfast platters looked incredible! I've been shocked to get comments from people that have lived in Austin for decades and never heard of it!🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching!
If you want top tier BBQ and next level sides next time try Intersteller BBQ in Austin, the smoked scallop potatoes and the gouda mac n cheese is to die for. I would go there even if they were sold out of their meats.
Ooo… We’ve heard great things about Interstellar! And with smoked scallop potatoes, it sounds right up our alley! Lol… I love some good sides! We definitely need to try it next time! Thanks for the recommendation and for watching!🥰
Oh, awesome! So glad you found us! Yeaaa... There's no hiding my southern drawl! Lol... I'm originally from South Carolina but been in Nashville for the last 8+years! Thanks for watching!😊
Loved your guys video! Me and my wife will be in Austin next week. Was wondering how was the heat out there ? 😅 looks to be in the mid 90s ! Looks like you guys still had a good time. Just worried if the heat will be to much for us 🥴🤞🏻 like to know your thoughts 💭
You guys are super fun!!! I was wondering if you would consider visiting all the top 10 most Christmasx towns in Florida and then maybe some other states like Tennessee, New York State including Long Island, Texas, Virginia. Anywhere that has a fun Christmas 🎄 vibe. I would definitely be glued to this challenge (ok I am already but super glued). We're always looking for fun stuff. And 1 more hope ... would you consider tracing the footsteps of Jimmy Buffets famous haunts. He loved the chill life style and apparently knew the best places. Just curious. You guys are super cute and fun.
Thanks for watching! It depends, Matt does have his commercial drone license but it just depends on where we are, whether it’s near an airport or in a park or a crowded piece etc so we do use storyblocks for footage to help tell the story if we can’t personally film it. If that makes sense lol
I know what you mean about the home made flour tortillas. I had them in Cabo San Lucas & I said Why aren’t ours like that in the States? They were absolutely amazing delicious!!! I’ve never even thought beef tongue tacos would be at all good. Got me making ugly faces but NOW I’m curious. You guys are great!!
Hellooo! So our family always wonders something and we thought who better to investigate than the 2 of you...if you ever have an opportunity would you consider checking out some of the "Hallmark Christmas Towns" across the USA? Apparently, there are quite a few. Also as a side note Rolf's in NYC is decorated with hand decorated Christmas balls all year long. Just in case you venture there.
Being a resident of the Austin area it was interesting and hearing about places I had never heard of in my area. Obviously I've heard of Franklin barbecue and Round Rock donuts (not in Austin but pretty close) although there are much better donut places in the area, I'll be giving the other places a try.
beef tongue is pure meat (obviously), and in years past it was an inexpensive choice in the meat department or the butcher shop....it became popular, and now it's typically expensive,,,,,but still very good
Come to India. I will show you around as much as possible 😊It’s not in that book. But really, do try. It’s a place like no other. 😊Maybe after you guys are done with these 1000 places.
Do y'all realize how many people cant afford to do this i hope you thank God fir blessing you with the ability to see every state and kept you safe if yiu dont thank God thats disappointing i dont care if people say dont talk about religion im not I'm talking about Jesus Lord God so congratulations 🎉 stay safe
Correct, Chai is the Hindi word for "tea" which originates from the Mandarin word for tea, "ch'a". But in the West, and especially the US coffee scene, "chai" is used in reference to an Indian Masala Tea. So, when you see a "Chai Latte" on a Western coffee shop menu, it's referring to a Masala Tea with frothed milk.
😅I live in Austin for over 30 years and you are the first I’ve encountered that have been to local places I go and recommend to friends! Good job!
You guys have quickly become my favorite travel UA-camrs. I just love you guys. I want to drink beer with y’all. 😂
I'm a chai person as well, so I love all the chai reviews, Nat! :)
I don't even know what chai is?

I totally agree that corn tortillas are the way to go. Texas, what is up with flour tortillas? Tacos=corn tortillas, burritos=flour tortillas.
Round rock donuts are the best
Sooo good!!! Thanks for watching! 🥰

Yeah, Stubbs is more for music and tourists.
Bold claim, but I think Joe’s Bakery has the best breakfast in Texas. Glad to see y’all give it some love
Right?? I know what we had was delicious and the breakfast platters looked incredible! I've been shocked to get comments from people that have lived in Austin for decades and never heard of it!🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching!
@@AdventuresofMattandNatI’ve never heard of it. Been here since 2003. And I love tacos! Thanks for the recommendation

The donut place wasn’t that far but sells out quickly
I just found this channel today, really like so far. Mind if I ask where you guys are from? I detect a southern accent from Matt.

A little salt and a lot of lime on tacos is popular in Texas.
Mmmm... So good!🤤
I know what you mean about the home made flour tortillas. I had them in Cabo San Lucas & I said Why aren’t ours like that in the States? They were absolutely amazing delicious!!!

Been here in Austin for 24 years and never heard of Joe's Bakery.
Same here. I'm a Juan In A Million gal.
I forgot to add that I'm a 4th generation Austinite. 😊
Wow, that's surprising!
@@AdventuresofMattandNat We'll definitely try it though, thanks!
That’s not tomatillo sauce. It’s salsa, jalapeños puréed with spices.
Oh, good to know! Thanks! So, what exactly mis the difference in a tomatillo sauce and a salsa verde?
Can't believe you guys said Chai instead of tea. Chai is Hindi word. Seems India is going places!
Correct, Chai is the Hindi word for "tea" which originates from the Mandarin word for tea, "ch'a". Largest State Capitol?? Only by floor space lol. It's nowhere near the tallest and isn't the biggest either. Strange statement
It is the largest Capitol building in the US. But you are correct about the height as it is only the 6th tallest. Thanks for watching.👍🏼
There is domerhing different about Natalie...She darkened her golden blonde to ashe blonde.
Texas has the best barbeque, better than Memphis barbeque.
As a Tennessean, it pains me to say that you are, indeed, correct! Lol
