i’m mexican and been to austin many times and i’d say I didn’t find it very diverse tbh, but then again I live in houston, and houston is super diverse. the most diverse city in texas imo. also the food scene here in houston is better. you can find super cheap and good quality food from all backgrounds. austin is more fusion stuff food.
I love reading comments like this, too. My son (he’s an adult) is openly Gay. People think things have changed and it’s so much better in terms of acceptance, it’s not. We are looking to move. Massachusetts is nice but extremely expensive. I’ve lived here my entire life and looking for a change. My son works full time/college full time BUT he can do college remotely and transfer for work pretty much anywhere. I know no one asked! This is one of the biggest reasons I appreciate reading different people’s thoughts/experiences.
Absolutely austin is the world capital of overpriced fusion food that needs reservations months ahead. I go to houston for authentic food every other month.
We just gonna ignore Houston not knowing how to do barbecue properly despite being Texan XD? Austin has beat Houston in multiple list for best food, it's even on US top food cities
Have been living in Austin for about 7 years now and would agree on all points. Never before realized how dog friendly the city is until you mentioned it! Totally agree with you about the gyms. There are not that many with all the equipment/amenities you would want.

One thing I think people always underestimate about Texas is just how HUGE it is! It doesn’t seem like this would be that important of a point, but when you have a job that requires driving to other cities in the state or you want to go visit relatives in another city or a nearby state, those drives can take forever!! Another thing about Texas being so large is that it has everything - beaches, mountains, desert, forests, plains, hills, scrub, etc.. It may just take you awhile to reach whichever you’re interested in. 😄 I’ve lived in Texas and liked it, but I don’t think I’ll probably ever move back, largely because of how hot it is and the expectation that it will only get hotter. I didn’t get to a lot of places in Texas, but I LOVED visiting Austin! ❤
I live in the burbs around austin and i would say lives are pretty different being in austin vs a surrounding city. I like it because its more quiet and i make the 30 minute drive with tolls when i know the traffic isnt going to be bad to visit with friends or people wanting to explore austin. I’m from Monterrey Mexico and visited Austin for the first time in my life (I’m 34, but I was 33 when I went) last April 9-11/2023, and being 100% honest with you, I LOVED IT!!!, It was the best thing that has ever happened to me. I only wish I had gone to the public pool, Barton Springs I think is its name. But overall, it was A DREAM for me!!!, I felt free. I wish with all my heart one day I could live there 🥹 (maybe you could invite me one day 😂🙏🏽). When I got back to my hometown, I even developed post vacation depression 😢. KEEP AUSTIN WEIRD!!!
It’s a good city to visit- day to day life, especially for a POC is not it… you visited the tourist traps- not really representative of every day life in Austin
Which areas are safe affordable family friendly to live?? Does it get very cold there?? Do you have crocodiles problems, love bugs?? Scorpion??What are the properties taxes on a average?? Great video! I’m a native Texan from the greater Austin area but have been living in San Diego for 8 years. I visit quite often as most of my family still lives there. In my opinion, I don’t think Austin is a very diverse city and I don’t think the food scene is that great. Sorry! The traffic is terrible (worse than San Diego), the weather is horrible and the homeless problem has gotten out of control.
Great video Michel! I grew up near San Francisco and went to UT for college (graduated 2017 and moved back to CA). I love Austin but that heat is really hard to get over coming from California 😅 now I prefer to visit in the Oct-Nov time frame when the weather is usually more bearable. I agree with you that Austin is a great food place for dietary restrictions but overall the food lacks in diversity compared to other cities.

"Austin thinks it’s more special than it is." That is Austin in a nutshell. It is so desperate to be hip, and it just isn't. The live music scene is nothing special. The parks and events are subpar for a city of two million people. Mostly it is full of tech bros who think they are god's gift to the universe.

You missed one of the biggest problems. The allergies here are off the charts, and whenever the weather is actually comfortable, that's when allergies are at their highest.
I used to have terrible allergies. I quit all dairy and went vegan 10 years ago. No matter where I travel or what time of year my allergies are gone. Address inflammation and diet, it helps! Doctors never gave me this advice. And I could barely breathe.
Of course they're moving to Austin Texas West Coast and we don't want marxists from Seattle Portland Los Angeles San Francisco in Texas so they should get the hell out of here
Thank you for adding a perspective we won’t really get from this channel. Michel is lovely, but there are no POC in her friend group or family, I don’t even see any in the background of her videos when running errands. Maybe there are more in her personal network, but none that have made an appearance on the channel. Diversity is not her area of expertise, which is totally fine, but it’s nice to hear from other informed viewers that can answer that question for those of us that need confirmation.
We're heading to Austin for a wedding this week and we're so excited about exploring some of the places that we've seen you enjoy. My little 7 year old daughter thinks that we're going to bump into you and have a gluten free donut with you 🤪
Sure there's no personal income tax, but the property tax will suffocate you. If you rent, well, that's figured in also. Look on Zillow at 205 E 35th St, Austin, TX. Annual property tax $27,745. My house in Boulder, CO at $950K property tax $4825. CO income tax about that same amount. So how do you like that "no income tax" thing? Boulder is kind of the Austin of Colorado. I lived in Plano, TX area for 30 years. Not going back.
Property taxes and sales taxes are high. I used to live in Nebraska and the state income tax was no big deal. The no-income-tax thing is overplayed. You pay one way or another.
I expect extreme heat in TX for a good portion of the year so that's not a surprise. I was hoping for the video to cover Suburbs as well if folks are looking to move with their family and what's like for children, schools and amenities. When I visited, I went to the Lake Travis area and it was beautiful. We went to Oasis restaurant and enjoyed the food and ambiance. Good overall review!
Do you happen to know what's going on with Layered with Lace? Haven't seen my order in a month, they haven't responded in the last week, and their Instragam hasn't been updated in several months. Since you had opened that subscription on your page, just wanted to see if you knew.
I would not consider Austin just because of the weather but I don’t care how beautiful a place is but when women’s rights are not desirable it’s a definite NO that’s a big CON.
@@theresahan2972 It’s not such a clear-cut issue, fetuses don’t develop consciousness until around week 24. Further, now medical professionals delay care for women who need abortions to save their lives. From the Texas Tribune: “According to a letter from the Texas Medical Association, a physician in Central Texas was instructed not to treat an ectopic pregnancy until it ruptured, which can cause serious medical complications. Patients experiencing miscarriage have also struggled to get prescriptions filled for misoprostol, which is used both to treat miscarriages and induce abortions.”
My impression from the news is if your politics swing left, it could be very difficult to live in Texas. Austin has had the rep of being the exception- Keep Austin Weird - but you're still subject to state law & many women in their 20s & 30s want to have control of their own bodies & yes I'm referring to pro-choice.
@@leedsutd1 what are you talking about? Women can use a variety of birth control options to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Abortion shouldn't be used as birth control - but that's what is happening.
Hi, it is so nice to find one of these types of videos from a youtuber who is not also a real estate agent. Loved the video. Very nice. And, you are so beautiful. Austin looks amazing. I have been to Houston a few times, and I hated it there. Been to Dallas, and Dallas was much nicer. Both of those cities are too big though. Austin seems like it might be the perfect midsized city.
6 to 12 dollars for a cocktail in Dallas? I must be going to the wrong places then, I always pay around 14-16 dollars for my marg in the uptown/downtown area!
Thanks for the informative video! I live in San Diego and have been wanting to visit Austin for a couple of years now. But after hearing about no gyms and oppressive heat, I think I'll just be visiting and not moving there like I was considering.
I love your content and have been watching for a couple of years now. I don’t expect everyone to have the same views as I do. All of your regular viewers know that you identify as a Christian, but to not mention the glaringly obvious lack of reproductive rights for women living in Texas as one of the cons in this video about Austin/Texas really stood out to me. I would hope that reproductive rights are very important to women in their 20s and beyond especially. As a few others stated here, I would never move to Texas purely because of this reason and because I identify as female. I’m not commenting this to be rude, it’s just a very obvious con about living in Texas as a woman and some of your international viewers might not be aware of this fact about Texas.
@@MichelleJonesKralka okay, but when people talk about “women’s reproductive rights” I’d argue more often than not they’re talking about abortion. And if you think abortion should be illegal then obviously Texas laws would not be a con for you
I'm born and raised Austin TX. It was so hard to leave because everyone said how great it was. Then I moved to Colorado and haven't looked back. Don't miss the 2 hr traffic at all. I do miss the real Mexican Food 😂
I live in Colorado and although I love the weather, the people here are shady as f. I don’t like humidity In Texas but thinking of moving back to Austin. Who knows 😂.
I'm at $10,000 a year and climbing. From liberal Austin the state steals a BILLION DOLLARS for poor red school districts in rural areas. No joke, google "Robin Hood Law" or "Recapture." Austin ASD is having emergency budget cuts while MAGA voters are building water parks with our money.
Pretty much all the cons that were mentioned are the result of everyone moving there 🤦. I'm born and raised in San Antonio, 41 years, and the growth here makes me sick. So much beautiful land disappears every year, never ending construction and traffic, thousands of cheap crap houses neighborhoods and apartments, land and property prices out of control. You have to keep moving further and further away from the city to get away from it all.
It's happening in a lot of places. More people on the planet and more people seeking a better work/life balance, a better community, economy, environment/weather, whatever it is they're seeking. It's life in current times.
I've lived here for 2 years an truly don't get the hype. Austin is very cool, but IMO it's more of a place to visit than live. The housing situation is ridiculous, it's nearly impossible to find a home within Austin for a reasonable price. It feels like California 2.0, expensive and busy. That being said, every time I walk Town Lake I vow to be more content with Austin because there are so many (not so hidden) gems.
Hi Michel, Austin is first on the list and then Boise, ID is second. I live in Boise, and the demographics are a bit different, most of the people moving here is retired and middle aged with kids. Boise, like Austin cost of living, such as rent has increased so much that local people can’t afford to live here. Idaho is the Texas of the North West from what I understand. Jordy is playing here on May 12th I believe, I hope you can come visit. ❤
My favorite thing about Austin is at Christmas people pick a random tree off the road and decorate it. And there is a restaurant on Lake Travis that I LOVE, the food was fine but the views and scenery is awesome!
Loved this video! Can you share what apps/software/equipment you use for all your social media platforms; I am at the beginning stages researching how to begin a side hustle on all social media platforms!
To be honest, the weather was the reason I did move here from the Midwest. I thrive in heat and it's easy for me to forget how difficult it is for others, but I love love love the long summery weather. Nice video. Thanks for the thoughts.
I love that people here speak spanish I love the hot weather I love the concerts and that there is a lot of music I love that even the community college is amazing. I moved from Alabama. You can tell why I ❤ it here
I am a native of color of ATX and an independent voter. If you move to ATX you better have an supported network because rent is high. You better come to Austin with massive skills because competition for entry level jobs is crazy. Yes, Austin is a young city so if you are over 40 and a person of color good luck finding an social network. I walk into establishments as an mature woman of Color and I feel like an Unicorn. Austin is for young Caucasian people. I was born in Travis County so that’s the only reason, I am still in the Austin Area, and I have my Bachelor’s Degree from St. Edward’s University so I have been able to adjust to the rapid growth of outsiders ( I am part of the lucky few whom have been able to remain in Austin) Austin is no longer a medium size city and has nothing to offer mature people. Pay is low, traffic is AWFUL, rent/housing is HIGH, and CRIME is sky Rocketing, and the African American population is dwindling. To wrap up if you are young, White, and have Multiple degrees. and networking then Austin is for YOU!
@@texaswunderkind I’ve been 3 times since for work & we still love it! Don’t even mind the hot humid summers. Going back in December to look at land. & Detroit is a shit place, I’m shocked anyone would vacation there
I was born and raised in Austin. I used to think I might live there after college ... but nah. I'm getting the hell out of Texas! Austin is too expensive. Bus transportation is fine but it gets stuck in the same traffic as the cars, everything I grew up with has been torn down and turned into luxury condos, and the state government kneecaps cities anytime they try to pass legislation like paid sick leave. All the cool hippies and artists who used to make Austin "weird" have moved to San Marcos, haha
I am from Italy and I am considering moving to the USA, specifically, Austin. Thank you so much for the precious information, this is what I needed. You helped me a lot and now I am very motivated to have a life experience in Austin and see whether that is the place for me!
I live in Buda (literally 35mins away without traffic). Husband is vegan, I’m vegetarian but prefer to eat vegan mostly. Ideally, we want to live in Austin as it caters to all of our needs. Cons: IT IS EXPENSIVE. Finding a house there seems like a nightmare. Traffic is horrible during rush hours and yes, restaurants are pricey too. We frequent Austin almost every weekend. At this point we’re thinking of moving further away from Austin because it’s wayyyy more affordable. 😅 Even in Buda it is just not gonna happen anymore 😢
Looking for a tax friendly retirement city. I’m retiring young and Austin is everything I like about NYC (where I’ve been my whole life) the only thing is weed is illegal, and no gyms. That’s what I do… I get high and I go to the gym. That’s my daily routine… 😢
I get this! Ive been in LA the last 12 years, I too very much enjoy having a joint and then heading to the gym. Im considering austin as home base - gym/workout options in austin: Life Time Fitness and Equinox, soul cycle and hot yoga. still figuring out the weed solution haha
Wow, sounds like I need to move to Austin because the cons aren't something I really care about. I debated moving to LA from the east coast but California is just too darn expensive
Look at San Antonio first. It is better in almost every way, and much less expensive. The only downside is that you don't get an approving nod from hipster douchebags when you tell them you're from Austin.
Every pro from, scenery, trails, eating, wineries, parks, breweries, quaint small towns within 2 hours, dog friendly, weather are all better in CA. So people move for financial reasons not because it is better. That's what I thought.
Well yes… for instance in NYC literally every neighborhood has great places to hang out. But cost of living and the taxes are insane here. The only reason to move to Texas is for BBQ and taxes.
A good video but you did not focus on the benefits of weekend excursions to nearby SA, the Fabulous Texas hill country, the highland lakes and boating & the rivers for rafting. UT is also a huge benefit for Austin. A great education school plus great university sports. The worst part of Austin is the AWFUL traffic with no public transport except busses. The huge number of expensive toll roads are also a negative. Austin has way outgrown its roads and infrastructure and the environmentalists often block solutions.
I lived there for a month last year and Austin is one of my favorite cities. I have to agree with everything you said!! I play beach volleyball in LA and was surprised at how big that scene was here. My pros: great food scene (the bbq: OMG!), artsy and active, lots of green space, super friendly people, lots of people out and about all the time, the rolling hills and cute towns outside of Austin (like Dripping Springs), bikeable city (remember I come from LA). Cons: the heat and humidity (I was there in April), the COL is about as bad as LA, traffic like LA, mosquitoes, and surprisingly a lack of Trader Joes and Whole Foods (lol in LA we have the on every corner it seems), but I love HEB (just not the parking lots).
No sports? I am moving 😂😂😂😂 my city’s baseball stadium is in downtown. I lived in DT for many years before 2016 and it was great. Moved back over a month ago, and I am in shock how things changed. People have no consideration either they walk or drive. What’s happening? Pedestrians completely ignore traffic lights, cars run through crosswalks or stop in the middle of a street with busy, moving traffic to figure out the directions maybe, idk, 🤷♀️ it’s bizarre and ridiculous.
I lived in Austin and Nashville. And Austin is waaaay better than Nashville. Big thing is because of space, Nashville is recording studio capital and artist capital but live music is way heavier in ATX. Also Austin i not as pretentious. Downtown is way better than Nashville too, the lakes make a big deal in ATX. The areas in austin is by far better than than Hillsboro village. Music row, 12 south, the gulch, broadway, mid Town, berry hill, sylvan Park. Atx has way more hospitality than Nashville . Nashville is more touristy and top heavy, everything is all about drinking. Austin more authentic tons of things to do more than drinking. Weather by far is waaay better in austin than Nashville. It's hotter here and longer but It rains here in nashville so much and winter is so long. Nashville has better traffic but Austin highway system is better than Nashville. I've lived in both
I'm from Miami Originally and came from New York City. Austin gets boring after being here for awhile. You end up going to alot of the same places for entertainment. You can only go to the domain, or lady bird lake so many times. The surrounding areas do have good parks and hiking. Dallas and Houston has a lot more entertainment and a ton of culture. Ballet, theater, music and restaurant are better in those cities music is fairly good in Austin though. .
Okay you are SELLING me on Austin when you say farmers markets, holistic doctors, acupuncture, yoga and health treatments!!!! I've been reviewing different cities on my astrology relocation chart and I have VERY favorable placements in Austin, Dallas and Houston for 2nd house and 7th house. So I am LOVING this video thank you!!!!!
Been in Austin over 20 years and would not want to live anywhere else. It's true we don't have State Income Tax but our Property Taxes are very high..... very high. I think the highest in Texas and in most states
Really fair and balanced. I lived in New York for six years; there are cons about even the most sought after or "desirable" cities. ATX isn't perfect, but the people here are superb: beautiful, kind, and conscientious. The culture is such that people are slow to judge others and quick to take inventory of themselves. I love that it's laid back here yet there is still a vibe of "do something with yourself". Not in that erratic, over-caffeinated way that you experience on the east coast, but the undercurrent of encouraging productivity is still present. Finally, I have to say, I do like the politics here. There's an implicit friction about a progressive bastion in a red state which I think forces a more earnest dialogue, at least for the people coming to these sensitive discussions in good faith. Cheers, Michel!
Thank you for sharing this!!!! It's so wonderful to hear that there is the undercurrent of encouraging productivity whilst enjoying the present! sounds incredible
the problem is that its super hotand humid in Texas in general. So if you want to go hiking it has to be super early in the morning. You can’t just go at any time. Im not sure how people here are able to go swimming in this weather 🥵 Maybe they get used to it after a while? All my workouts are pretty much at home. But a few times a year there are cooler days. I also do think people here are kind of rude, and I used to live in LA. La people are rude. But I don’t know why people in Austin are rude. I will probably stay here for 3 years and then leave. Also its basically run by children or young people its so strange. Its not diverse in Age or races. But I do like their plant shops.
Hi michel i wish i can visit all those awesome place you have there but watching your vlogs taking us with your everyday life and visiting places it's like I'm there with you too😊🥰😇

Southern CA is the exception- most areas of the country have variable weather. Weather in my spot in MI has not been varying lately - snow & cold.

You missed one of the biggest problems. The allergies here are off the charts, and whenever the weather is actually comfortable, that's when allergies are at their highest.
Exactly right, allergies are terrible in Austin.
amen
I used to have terrible allergies. I quit all dairy and went vegan 10 years ago. No matter where I travel or what time of year my allergies are gone. Address inflammation and diet, it helps! Doctors never gave me this advice. And I could barely breathe.
I’ve been there 3 times drivers are craziest I’ve ever seen
love you - but as a POC Texan, Austin is not the most diverse city in texas, quite the opposite.
What the hell is a POC
Of course they're moving to Austin Texas West Coast and we don't want marxists from Seattle Portland Los Angeles San Francisco in Texas so they should get the hell out of here
It's not an amazing City and that's why I'm not following you anymore

Thank you for adding a perspective we won’t really get from this channel. Michel is lovely, but there are no POC in her friend group or family, I don’t even see any in the background of her videos when running errands. Maybe there are more in her personal network, but none that have made an appearance on the channel. Diversity is not her area of expertise, which is totally fine, but it’s nice to hear from other informed viewers that can answer that question for those of us that need confirmation.
Michel good to see you today at Starbucks!!!! You made my day :) You look beautiful. Alicia
We're heading to Austin for a wedding this week and we're so excited about exploring some of the places that we've seen you enjoy. My little 7 year old daughter thinks that we're going to bump into you and have a gluten free donut with you 🤪
That is precious
AWEE, this is adorable!! 🤍🤍I hope y’all have the best time!!
"it's like the college experience I never got" ugh I felt that one! But that heat is a big deterrent. Thank you for this video
I didn't know how healthy Austin is. I'm gluten free and extremely health conscious so this really piques my interest. Thanks for sharing.
My son has celiac disease, and there are quite a few places that offer gluten-free options.
Hi Michel! Just sat down for dinner and seen your video! You've already brought a smile to my face after a hard few days! Love from the UK xx
Awe, I hope your days get better friend!! Sending my love 🤍🤍
Not everyone is pro choice. What a crazy concept!!!
@@literallysydd5964 yes, it is crazy
It's rough when they don't let you kill babies right?? Really steps all over your rights....🙄
@@theresahan2972 It’s not such a clear-cut issue, fetuses don’t develop consciousness until around week 24. Further, now medical professionals delay care for women who need abortions to save their lives. From the Texas Tribune:
“According to a letter from the Texas Medical Association, a physician in Central Texas was instructed not to treat an ectopic pregnancy until it ruptured, which can cause serious medical complications.
Patients experiencing miscarriage have also struggled to get prescriptions filled for misoprostol, which is used both to treat miscarriages and induce abortions.”
@@perthfanny3017 I’m so sorry you experienced that.
My impression from the news is if your politics swing left, it could be very difficult to live in Texas. Austin has had the rep of being the exception- Keep Austin Weird - but you're still subject to state law & many women in their 20s & 30s want to have control of their own bodies & yes I'm referring to pro-choice.
But it's great for those that are pro-life!
@@kzfingerprint Nope, it's great for people who are pro-birth. Don't act like you actually care about the kid after it's born
@@kzfingerprint it isnt pro life use yoir brain
@@leedsutd1 what are you talking about? Women can use a variety of birth control options to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Abortion shouldn't be used as birth control - but that's what is happening.

can you give more details on issues in snowy weather? How bout what the utilities cost on average? I feel like i heard utilities are pricey
Lived in both cities- I would NEVER trade San Diego for Austin.. don’t fall for the hype
Not everyone is pro choice. What a concept!!!!!
@@literallysydd5964 you don’t have to be pro choice to support women’s rights to reproductive healthcare. It’s 2023, not 1850!
I completely agree and thought the same thing.
@@literallysydd5964 but it’s still a huge women’s issue worth noting.
@@MichelleJonesKralka okay, but when people talk about “women’s reproductive rights” I’d argue more often than not they’re talking about abortion. And if you think abortion should be illegal then obviously Texas laws would not be a con for you
1) The trail at Lady Bird is a 16 mile loop
2) Austin’s got a new soccer Stadium as well as soccer team, soccer is booming in Austin
Homes may be cheaper, but property tax is high & goes up every year.
How is the dating scene, is it easier than other cities to ask people on dates?
Hi Michel happy Tuesday afternoon and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Pretty much all the cons that were mentioned are the result of everyone moving there 🤦.
Born and raised in TX too and I’ve seen it as well. I wish all these people moving here would stop 😭
This video also described Nashville almost exactly…except we have major sports teams 😂
^^ especially the sunset!
I love that people here speak spanish
I love the hot weather
I love the concerts and that there is a lot of music
I love that even the community college is amazing.
Edward’s University so I have been able to adjust to the rapid growth of outsiders ( I am part of the lucky few whom have been able to remain in Austin)
Austin is no longer a medium size city and has nothing to offer mature people. Pay is low, traffic is AWFUL, rent/housing is HIGH, and CRIME is sky Rocketing, and the African American population is dwindling.
To wrap up if you are young, White, and have Multiple degrees. and networking then Austin is for YOU!
This is veryyy accurate. I really hate I have to move back to Austin. It isn’t black friendly at all
We are moving soon to austin.... we are looking to move in close to the river. what is this apartment called? if i can ask
Husband & I are here now for SXSW. We’re moving here from California. ITS LIT!!!!
Sorry, as native of Austin, I wish people like you would stop 🛑 moving to Austin making natives lives WORSE.
I hope you weren't stupid enough to move somewhere based on a vacation experience. I once had an amazing vacation in Detroit. I didn't move there.
I left Austin due to cedar fever. Allergies are the worst
What’s the best yoga studio
Great video! I’m up in Canada but would love to visit one day. Would love a video on top places for tourists 😊
Are there YMCA?
Yes quite a few in austin
Please do a video on foods and things to do in Austin we are taking our baby moon to Texas in April !
I'm in San Antonio and considering moving to Austin. This video gets me more excited for the move. Thanks!
what is the cost of living in san antonio?
I was born in Austin I have a lot of History in Austin and well known in the past I miss told days for sure

About whether,Houston is better or Dallas or Austin?❤
They all suck. Do you like it hot and humid, or hot and humid?
How much do you enjoy living in Austin, TX
Thank you so much for this informative video
Great video. Thank you!
I'd never move anywhere in Texas but Austin is the city I like best. I could never handle that heat though.
HAHAHAH yeah the heat is crazy!!

Me never moving to Texas… watches the whole video
Same.
What about tornadoes lol 😂not just the heat in Texas.
Cons: the heat and humidity (I was there in April), the COL is about as bad as LA, traffic like LA, mosquitoes, and surprisingly a lack of Trader Joes and Whole Foods (lol in LA we have the on every corner it seems), but I love HEB (just not the parking lots).
wow!!! hearing that there is a big beach volleyball scene in Austin is so cool! and I didnt know that its a really bikeable city! thank u for sharing
This place looks like the place I was searching my whole
Life❤
SO helpful. Thank you!!
These benefits seem parallel to Arlington, VA. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a similar city on the east coast :)
Thank you for the information.
I've lived in both
I laughed when you said bachelorette parties because I went to a destination one in Austin last July. 😂
Ballet, theater, music and restaurant are better in those cities music is fairly good in Austin though. .
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Austin sounds a lot like Tulsa Oklahoma, minus the tax issues. Tax here is still outrageous here in Oklahoma.
1:29 Picking up on the "eww, old people are gross and in the way. I'm never gonna be old" energy. Everybody gets old, if they're lucky.
Lmfao someone enjoying being around younger people means that they think old people are gross? Stop projecting
Okay you are SELLING me on Austin when you say farmers markets, holistic doctors, acupuncture, yoga and health treatments!!!! Been in Austin over 20 years and would not want to live anywhere else. It's true we don't have State Income Tax but our Property Taxes are very high..... very high. I think the highest in Texas and in most states
What about crime and homelessness ?
Check out Austin from my perspective on my channel. Totally different.
No income tax but they make it up in real estate taxes. The negatives sound petty. Wedding parties are bad?
Austin is a shitstain of fuckstain leftist ideology. Which is why it’s overrun with illegals and the homicide rate quadrupled in 10 years
the problem is that its super hotand humid in Texas in general.
