I like the idea of that tool. I myself have been using a large socket and a small socket and my vice four years to press apart and press back together, universal joints on driveshafts, and shock absorber bushings.. just one little thing about using dishwashing detergent or any soap/liquid on aluminum parts, like lubing tires to mount them on aluminum wheels…. any soap, detergent, dishwashing liquid, 95% of them have LYE in them. LYE is the ingredient that makes it feel so slimy and slippery. The problem with it is, it is like putting acid on aluminum.. any soap, detergent, dishwashing liquid , Hand soap, hair shampoo, anyone of them that burns your eyes, has LYE in it
You, sir, are a Genius ! ! ! I would like to thank you for all the time I am going to save in the future swapping out shocks on my builds.
You are the only person on youtube with this tip. Thank you.
Great tip... BEST METHOD Video on this subject in all of UA-cam..!!!

Cracking tip mate.
How do you get the new one back in?
Play the video backwards
I wonder if a ball joint puller would work just as good 🤔
Has anyone used this method to install new bushings??
I'm replacing old/dry bushings on my shocks, Thanks
Those look like Rancho Performance shocks, maybe?
What size is the rod end tool?
Omgaatt here I am hammering all the way good gaawwdd x((
Can you also use this method to install the bushings aswell?
To install them I lube them up with liquid dish soap and smack them with a dead blow hammer.
nice channel, dude)
Little to no effort, this is the video for me!
Don't new shocks come with new bushings?
Yes, most do. Sometimes the bushing gets warn out faster than the shock. In my case I am changing the shock mounts and needed different bushings.
Didn't work for me I should've just saved my money and spent it on an arbor press instead
