      Yes. I think the game is alright, it's a decent RPG in space. It's just so far off from what we thought we were getting, and what's worse is that it was marketed to be a masterpiece experience and it was just an okay space game.

    The gun play is good. Ship building is fun. The story is HORRIBLE. Characters are HORRIBLE. I can't think of a more boring space story. More multi-verse spam BS with no actual antagonist or complicated characters. Then there's the game engine...oof. it all makes for a really boring game tbh.

      When has the story been amazing or the important thing in a BGS game? It's a sandbox for people to play.

      @XKathXgames skyrim and oblivion had interesting stories and factions, fallout new vegas had interesting story and factions. Fallout 4's far harbor was a good story. They're not the best for sure but FAR better than Starfield's snorefest story

    I think the game was unfairly judged. If people were expecting a game from Bethesda to be anything other than a type of game Bethesda makes, that’s on them. I’m not talking about a buggy mess game but it was never supposed to be a Cyberpunk.
    Bethesda makes Lite RPGs with a lot of freedom and sandboxing, and that’s what starfield is.
    I think the gameplay, characters and story are plenty good and you will enjoy it if you just stop watching all the bandwagon reviews.
    Bethesda is supporting the game and listening to feedback but unfortunately I don’t think that will ever be enough for some gamers who at this point seem like they just want to hate the game despite how “objective” they style themselves.

    It had some cool ideas and gameplay... and then refused to elaborate on any of them almost as if intentionally for spite. The story as almost every universally said, is just bad. And the new game plus starborn items leave a LOT to be desired for sacrificing your entire items, gold, and playthrough for. And didnt even add a special starborn weapon to add insult to injury.
    They should have added the Terrormorph questline an option and unique power to BECOME a terrormorph power. Or gain a Mech suit power if you stayed with the UC regular quest completion.
    They had plenty of ideas and ways to make this game good.

    • @BaileyPoints

      I agree with everything you have said but I must be the odd one out because I did enjoy the story, however I think I need to play through the main quest again to see if I feel the same. Starfield still has a lot of potential but BGS are just being extremely slow with the updates and need to interact with the community more to understand exactly what they need to do to improve this game. Thanks for watching!

      @@BaileyPoints It is a subjective opinion I admit. I just wasnt thoroughly impressed by the actual main missions themselves, the overarching idea was solid. It just didn't capitalize very well on them, in my opinion.
      And also it didnt help that the game is VERY stingy on skill points and levelling up useful perk trees and makes for a less engaging experience when I take the whole game experience combined.
      It's not a bad game, but it has very bad experiences that should have been addressed for a game that was in development for so long.
      It is salvageable. They just need to focus on what is fun in their game, and dont get caught up in trying to reject criticism. But use it as fuel to make it better

      This was my first experience with Starfield but after you've completed the main quest there really isn't much for you to do. There are a handful of cool side quests but other than that you are just exploring similar planets and there is not much to do or see which becomes repetitive quickly.

      I just don't understand how the game didn't have surface maps when it first came out because all of the previous BGS games had maps. I'm just very disappointed with Starfield still being listed at £60 when the game is in an unplayable state for most people. It's sad that the side quests are the best thing about this game especially the Ryujin Industries side quest.

    Yes it is a dissapointment. Anyone who reviewed the game in a positive manner are the problem. We deserve better. This game should have been a much better expierence. Quests so boring I stopped playing. Fallout 4 looks better graphically somehow. Repetivite everything- Enemies, Locations, Ship attachments etc. Scanner was the worst addition to the Bethesda Formula. Ugh, just so horrible. I keep forgetting I own it until a video like this one pops up.

      I couldn't agree with you more and you've only just scraped the surface with what is wrong with this game. @@BaileyPoints We all thought it was gonna be like Skyrim X10. But instead of THOUSANDS of hours of play through, you get like 40 hours and yer done until the DLC. Bethesda really went backwards with this one.

    • @BaileyPoints
      @BaileyPoints  5 місяців тому +5

      @@Aron2063 It is crazy that it is a 40 hour game given that there is a significant amount of planets you can visit but they're all lifeless. If Bethesda decided to have just 4 heavily detailed planets explorable but made sure they were packed with cities it would be a much better game.

      @@BaileyPoints none of what you said makes any sense given the time the game is set in. • @BaileyPoints
      @BaileyPoints  5 місяців тому +1

      @@imitenotbe Let me teach your tiny brain. Starfield is set in the future where technology and construction would be greatly advanced in comparison to something in today's world. Look at New Atlantis for example and all of the ships in this universe, something you wouldn't see today. My comment was to state that I couldn't care if this game has 100 explorable planets since they feel lifeless, I'd rather have 4 or 5 planets which are fully explorable, heavily detailed, handcrafted and they feel lived in because this would definitely make the game more enjoyable. For the record, views and subscribers don't bother me and I'm here to share my opinion and do what I enjoy, which is creating videos on games. I see that what you enjoy doing is leaving pathetic and cringe worthy comments on videos you dislike and I feel sorry for the life you live. You could’ve just provided some constructive feedback which I always take onboard but for some sad little reason you mention my subscriber count and views. I think the best thing you can do is go outside and touch some grass. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    A friend of mine bought it day one and we've been playing Bethesda games since Daggerfall. Fallout 4 was kind of a disappointment to me and 76 even more so so I decided to wait and see with Starfield. My friend started out loving the game then after about a week he went from loving it to being bored with it. He hasn't gotten around to the most recent updates (which says something in and of itself) but overall I'm not really surprised Starfield has been very hit or miss. Kind of a shame considering older BGS games but the worst part is people are worried about Elder Scrolls 6 now, though probably for good reason.

    • @BaileyPoints
      @BaileyPoints  5 місяців тому +1

      I think I had a similar experience to your friend. I enjoyed Starfield in its first week since I just focused on the main quest which I thought was actually quite good. However once you complete the main quest or decide to do whatever you start to realise that this game has a whole lot of nothing. RNG planets which are lifeless and repetitive, boring side quests other than the Ryujin Industries one and the lack of a karma system, however this is but a few issues with Starfield and I could go on all day about what this game does wrong. I'm just hoping that this game is much better in 6 months after all the new updates such as the one releasing later this month. Yet we shouldn't be expected to purchase a game around release with the promise that it will be a much better game in years to come after updates. The game should be its complete product from release, with quality of life improvements coming in the future.

      @@BaileyPoints That's my biggest problem with modern AAA gaming but part of the problem is that people are still willing to dish out $60-70 or more for a broken day 1 experience. Let's also not forget BGS was the first to introduce microtransactions and look where we are now.

    already paid about $6000 for this game. first i bought it and then realised my old 1080ti wasnt up to snuff so i upgraded that. then i realised the rest of the system wasnt up to a new gpu so i upgraded the rest. then i actually played the game and enjoyed it but knew it could be better, so am about 30 hours in and havent played it since october. ive got plenty of other things to play so whilst i did enjoy my first 30 hours, i can wait another 6-12 months before giving it a proper go.
