You don't get nearly enough views as you should be getting compared to Scotty Kilmer or even Chris Fix. Love how straight to the point you are. Thought I had a parasitic drain and couldn't find the culprit but I finally watched one of your videos turning the car on and disconnecting the positive battery cable. Sure enough car stayed on proving it was a bad battery regardless of reading 12.6V. When I removed the battery I noticed under th3 negative terminal there was a large Crack and what looked like gas or some liquid acid had come out from trying to use a rubber mallet to get it on right since it wouldn't tighten anymore. Don't hit your battery with a hammer who would've thought 🤷♂️🤦♂️

Man what?? I have a 94 f150 new IAC, distributor, plugs, wires, ECM, coolant sensor, MAF sensor, EGR. Fuel pumps/filters are "ok." Mannnn idk!!
@@demariojason Trust me I know the feeling. I did the same thing. Come to find out the problem was the thing I ignored the whole time, wheel speed sensors. Not knowing they were directly linked to the transmission response according to the wheel speed. I was thinking they were only for ABS and VSC. Smh.

Excellent video and I will subscribe to your channel. I had an issues on my Mustang only to find out the last owner didn't bother cleaning the Throttle body and it was so dirty that it was building up carbon like a castle. No joke. Now, its running very nicely. God bless!!

What do you do when you get these symptoms but don't have any trouble codes or check engine light?
Should these be changed out at a certain mileage? My CRV has 216,000 miles, but oil changes have been made every 2500-3000 miles since bought new. Love the easy to follow and well explained videos.
No. As long as it was a good quality part to begin with it can last a very long time. I have one vehicle with over 230K with the original VVT solenoid. Your's will last as long as possible because of frequent oil changes which pays BIG dividends in every way.
You are right sir this this the symptoms, I was suffuring from this problem over six months yestarday I replaced the vvt selonoid and the car is so smoth now.

We have a 1989 Honda Civic with a 1.5 engine. I'm not aware that our car has such a VVTS device on the engine. We have the symptom mentioned, so where from here to look for the culprit? Once the car is fully warmed-up the throttle shutter goes away.

My 1998 Nissan Altima has had this issue for a long time. No code. Not sure if it’s the fuel pump. Been watching videos and cleaned out throttle and MAF.

mine was leaking oil from the solenoid in tieback on the engine but I have two solenoids I was gonna change the vvt one to , I have engine like p420 , and I changed the pcv valve but the p420 says lean mixture in system bank 1

My problem was the valve cover gasket..oil was leaking on the spark plugs and since the plugs was wet they couldn't fire..after replacing the gasket and changing the plugs and cleaning the coil packs problem solved..

my 2015 camaro rs keeps saying engine power reduced and service stabilitrak again for the last 2 days. I cleaned the throttle body the last time this occured and it went back to normal bt the engine light stayed on. Bt this time while cleaning i see the hose that is connected going vertically to the top part of the engine was disconnected. so i fixed and cleaned the throttle body but the car keeps doing the engine power reduced thing still. very frustrating plz help!! Also the engine would hesitate a little during acceleration. dnt kno wat that mean either
Hi sir,i have a 2010 crv,i bave a big hesitation on stop go motion only when the engine it s cold,when its came warm its came normal,this about 3 monhs, 3 mechanic can t find the problem,no code or check engine ,they change the TPS sensor,clean the trottle box,change crankshaft position sensor,change valv timing solenoid spark plugs,oil filters,put moly catalytic cleaner,they cant find the problem
My 1zffe engine when starting from cold startup, idles ok, but the moment I engage to first gear, there's a noticeable tug. Same as second gear. However, I am puzzled as to when the engine has warmed up, the symptoms entirely disappears. Could this be the fault?

so what does a typical solenoid cost rather than doing diagnostics ? why not just put in a new one for an older car and/ro one with this problem ? if it costs $20 versus $200 it makes a big difference ...
my 2021 Lexus ES350with 9,500 miles has had a hesitation at low speed most noticeable in 4th gear at 20-35 MPH. The hesitation is only for a second or two then runs normal. Northside Lexus kept my car for 28 days and all they said was use premium fuel, which I have done, and the hesitation is still there, Any ideas ?

I had electric trial and error crap. My car bogged down like crazy today. As a delivery guy I need my car sharp and optimal. I pulled out of a neighborhood to go into a main Blvd and from low rpm and low speed in 1 gear (it's a 2008 Elantra automatic) to get up to like usually 30 to 40 I press pretty good on pedal well this time I bogged like a friggin weed eater at like 5 10 mph good thing today Sunday and no on road and I didn't have to quickly merge cuz I was like wtf no speed no movement hardly. I turned into a street like 25 ft than stopped. Turn car off and back on and every thing is working fine.
I'm think carburatuer is dirty? But now this solenoid gimmick. My check engine light has been on for months I don't ever engage with stuff until it's making a sound or someone when it's a shop tells me. But perhaps I should go to advanced and get the diagnostics checked. This video helped much my man.

I have 2NZ engine, it has no check engine light but the engine hesitate during cool and rainy season , its stops hesitation once engine gets hot, but repeats in cool such as losing power and jerks, i have followed the steps to check the VVTI sensor, it moves and gives reading directly but it doesn't give any reading when its checked for whether coil is grounded. What does it means futther!
So if there is no code is it still faulty

Adnan Sikandar I don’t know about the V ram values? Yes, check any rubber hoses that might be disconnected or split. It’s also possible a mouse chewed on some wires or vacuum hoses with it sitting so long.

So, I’m wondering if you could help me out. I’ve been looking everywhere trying to find a solution to this problem, but I can’t figure it out. I got a check engine light and it read, “misfire in cylinder 4”, so I replaced every spark plug and every spark plug wire, I also replaced the alternator, coil pack, and ran Seafoam and fuel additive through it, but nothing has seemed to work. It is a automatic transmission Pontiac G6 2006 GTP 3.5L V6. It hesitates, jerks/shakes and kicks when accelerating from a complete stop to an average speed.

My car hesitates, but has no codes/CEL. My engine (BMW M43TU) doesn't have VVT, but has DISA (variable intake runner length), would a faulty DISA be able to cause the same hesitation on gas (jerky, power loss, fizzing) as a faulty VVT solenoid?

mostly nop unless the intake runner is stuck in high rpm mode.
German like to build short lived PLASTIC intake that age prematurely... hence "high maintenance money pits"... ask me how I know 🙄
@@glasser2819 turns out it was a faulty MAF, but not faulty enough to yield codes
@@nickamarit A dirty MAF is a common occurrence, they can/should be cleaned with spray.
That brings the question how did it get dirty: contaminated air filter or bad PCV System (another German design staple 😉)

I have this Issue with P0014 I do not have rough Idle the engine is smooth. I have change the Oil with filter and new solenoid VVT but still the Code is there!!! now 3 months. Any help ??
Sam make sure your oil shows the proper level on the dipstick. Have you tried clearing the check engine light with a diagnostic scanner?

I cleaned my maf sensor and air throttle, bit there still facing issues of smooth drive especially when driving below 2000 rpm at low speed

An "Idle air control valve" is only a cousin of this camshaft phaser valve.
IAC usually just get dirty after long service miles. Computer compensate air mixture until it senses an issue and pop a generic DTC that will purposely not be obvious.

Thank you friend!! Great video!.. I am going to attempt to clean 2 of mine today. My 2014, Malibu with a 2.5L has 3 of them. Sir you seem to be very knowledgeable about auto Machanic’s. I’m not. Lol. I just know the basics. Hear me out please Sir. I watched a guy build a Hookah Diving Unit on UA-cam. He built it from scratch and it was worth 3 to $5000.00 when he finished. I ask him to build me one but that didn’t work out. So I decided to build my own watching his video which took you from start to finish. I ask him several questions and he always replied. He simply helped me because he was a nice guy. Money was never mentioned. However when I finished I sent him about $300.00 in probably 4 different pays. I sent it to him via E-bay PayPal. I would be more than willing to do the same with you if you were interested and I could contact you when I needed to. It wouldn’t be constantly. Probably months in between. I don’t work as a Machanic, just try to fix my own problems. I am no scammer in fact I’m very honest. You are the 3rd person I have asked this morning but honestly I would pick you over them if I had that option. You just seem like a very bright guy as well as kind. Just seems like you can hear it in your voice. Please consider and let me know. Also please let me know if you think I should just replace mine or try to clean them.
