Just wanted to say that I met Jonny today at the Bassmaster Classic. Probably one of the most sincere people I've ever met and gave a lot of insight on UA-cam and how to grow my channel. He's an awesome person on and off camera.
You all should consider making these a constant on your channel like one a month. There is so much to be learned from watching the 2 of you use the exact same bait on the same day while using very different approaches to how to catch the fish
ABSOLUTELY love the 1 v 1 format sticking with one bait!!! By the way, I thoroughly enjoyed the 1 v 1 with the jig!!! The way you guys break down the entire content coupled with the editing and graphs is second to none!!! It is very informative and educational so we anglers can add this into our data base for experience. I REALLY like this type of video. Like a mini tournament. Love that you both had to fish the same bait and we got to see overhead google views of how you attack the lake with that bait. Do more like this!!!

Most of my bigger fish come between 11am and 4pm. I think they feel more comfortable during that time because most fishermen in my area fish between daylight and 11 or 12 then return around 5pm til dark. I have been noting my time of catch for bigger fish and it’s amazing how you can see a pattern emerge.
Jonny you made a very interesting comment. Largemouth will generally school up off shore when you have 2-3 feet of water visibility. I live in western Washington, we don’t have shad in most the lakes just perch bluegill and trout. I have not found any success off shore for largemouth, only smallmouth with a very very occasional largemouth. Most my water visibility is 10+ feet. Would it be more rare in my instance to find largemouth off shore schooled up then? Would really love for you to do a natural lake seminar on fish the moment. Thanks again for all you do

If you’ve gone offshore and found a 15+ school of largies on the west side of the state I’d be really interested to know where. Buddy caught a 6.2 last week at sammamish in 30 feet so I know they do go off shore and I’ve caught a number myself as well

I personally obtain more from it because im more of a hands on learner. Bass fishing is the best my favourite is striped bass but bass in general are just a crazy fish too catch the way they strike is super exciting I do my own UA-cam as well except I am only 13 my goal is too engage our next generation into fishing 🎣 but your videos are better then mine your editing is just next level awesome 😊

I would honestly love to see a challenge between the two of you using nothing but spincast reels and Bass Stoppers. LOL! Seriously though, I'd watch. Friend of mine does just that on his lake and he slams them.
Idk if this is a thing but on Bull Shoals right now I really struggle to get bit in the morning it seems like they don't really start feeding until about 2pm and it gets crazy from then until dark. Seems similar to what yall experienced.
Hello guys, im from Europe and i want your help. Im buying my first baitcaster and i want to buy Abu Garcia Blackmax combo, we dont have many options in my country because almost nobody is using baitcasters. You all know the reel, but rod is 2.0m (6.56ft) and casting weight is 15-45grams ( i dont really know cw in Ounces but google says 0.529-1.58 ). When im fishing im using worms up to 6 inches in length, swimbaits up to 4-5inches and, wobblers up to 4 inches.. When fishing with soft plastics im never ever using weight cause all the fishes in 2 lakes where i go are staying shallow and they bite in first 3 feet of water and max. depth is 7.5-8ft.. I want you guys to tell me if its a right combo for me to start or its better that i dont buy it. Sorry for my english, i hope you understand everything. Thank you!
The Megabass rod valdivia is a solid treble hook rod for larger baits.. it’s a frog rod but works great w: the 6” magdraft. The perfect pitch also works really good as well!

If u want to catch a big bass then what u have to do is catch a bream about as big as your hand and use it for bait. Hook the bream at the back of the top fins on the bream and fish for bass where the water starts dropping off. Now if the bass are on bed then troll your fishing pond and find the bass on the bed and drop the bream in the middle of the bed. You may have to throw the bream in and out the bed a few times and remember when he first bites dont snatch it just let him run to the deep and then set the hook. Ive caught quiet a few like that all big my biggest is 14 lbs. Good luck
Swim baits are not strictly Visual baits, if you fish them slow on the bottom the Fish will find it with their lateral line, sometimes the slower the better even at night
Just not a fun way to fish for the average fisherman. Under a handful of possible fish that are mostly going to be 2 pounds and up, as opposed to maybe a dozen or more in the 1-3 pound range with smaller baits as well as the occasional larger fish. Even the pro's don't like it if they were honest, but have had to adapt to it when numbers of fish allowed have been reduced.

Listen to Randy about the time of day. It seems counterintuitive, but my best swimbait fish have almost all come from the middle few hours of the day.
