Man oh man... with all of that information and how u show every details and how u show the map and whats in the water when you catch them. It's a different ball game. This help alot how you show on video!! Keep doing videos like this!! You are on a different level!!!!
Jonny, I love the way you overlayed the structure and cover on the actual image of the lake. Definitely helpful as when you talk of brushpiles (we don’t really have them here) I always think of you as fishing in 20 to 35 feet of water. I just automatically equate “offshore” with “deep” and that overlay really brought it home. Great job on your videos sir!
Jonny, your biggest fish was behind you at the 3:50-:3:55 mark. LOL......When you coming back to Falls NC? (Pat W with the old Champion at Shearon Harris)
Good to see you out on the water. I liked the explanation for the lure changes. I can't fish for 8 hours anymore so it's important for me to fail fast as you say.
Jonny today it didn't take much effort to catch 5 tournament class bass. I took the steps you've taught me from watching for the past 3 years and with the right conditions the smallest was 2.67 and largest was 4.66. I hit on a spot using my electronics as you taught and caught about 20 fish in less than an hour. It was a great day on the water! Learning to fish the moment, along with practicing patience, and with a drive to overcome adversity equals days like today with the best 5 total weight of 22.33. Thanks Jonny!!
Always valuable info Johnny!! I’m that guy who loves to pound the bank but you’ve given me the tools to take chances, leave the shallows and fish out deeper and it has paid off.
Great video, no awesome catching video!! Johnny could you share some info on that yellow camera pole you in the back of your boat? Also what camera gear/microphone do you use? The sound is excellent. Thanks
Great video Jonny. Your vid production skills are almost on par with your fishing skills. I LOVE that 6th Sense SqB. That exact one has been a huge producer for me on shallow points in dirty water. Really enjoyed this one. 👌👍
I noticed the odd shape too. I was thinking maybe a Gar. Looks like he is at Grand Lake in Kansas. And apparently a known fish in the lake is the Paddlefish. Guess they are jumpers.
How did you find the shellbed in 3 feet of water? Could you see it on your SI? And I always have trouble finding brush like the pile you found in 5 feet of water. It's hard to tell that is brush on SI for me. And on my lake, the new piles often look like shad so you have to be careful.
I didn’t actually see the shell bed on my graph. I find 60% of my shell beds while fishing rather than graphing. They usually set up on high spots next to a creek channel. As far as the shallow brush piles, they usually don’t look very defined. It’s almost like a darker, fuzzy clump on the screen. And you’re correct about the fresh brush piles looking like schools of baitfish. This is due to all the leaves still on the pile.0
Jonny, I’ve been one of the ones asking for a natural lake seminar for a couple months and just signed up for it. It will be my first seminar. Thanks for listening to us forgotten northerners lol.
The spot where the big gizzards up on the shallow flat is prime for a big glide, my personal fav a 3:16 Work Horse. Now I am biased and pretty much all I do is throw big swimbaits, usually glides. It's a confidence bait for me but that big flat is picture perfect for a glide
It's been so cool watching Jonny grow with his FTM!! It amazes me how he has so much fun while making these videos. His excitement is contagious. I've been watching him since he was doing his thing on Lake Maumelle. And, I keep saying it's Jonny's fault that I chose to retire in Arkansas.
At around 3:41- this "brush pile" didn't look much different than the area 2/3rds of the way up the graph. What am I missing-because clearly I would not have found/identified this.
They area 2/3rds up the screen was another brushpile with a school of bait fish around it in 8ft of water. I didn't get a bite out of that one but I did out of the shallower one.
Last tournament 1st fish 4.67 smallmouth missed 2 more big fish loaded with bait an fish. Same problem everyone moved in. I left for new water! Got my but kicked by the guys who mooched my water sometimes you need to stay an defend your water.
This was the 2nd time I fished Grand all year (the other time was in March on the other end of the lake) and only the 4th time I’d ever fished it in June. There’s a big difference between fishing a lake 5-6 times per year and practice fishing for 1-2 days prior to filming a video.
It's one of Randy's home lakes, along with Table Rock, so we talk about it a lot on livestreams and in videos because it's familiar to both of us. I don't actually like fishing the same lake more than once per season because I think it takes the fun out of finding new areas. I get bored fishing the same spot twice in the same year because it takes the challenge out of fishing for me.
😯😲... you need to do some tournaments and tape the whole thing. Would love to watch your experience and game plan to help me out process my tournaments.
Your content is great, it would be really cool to see a tidal river broken down with electronics. I’m on the Gulf Coast in Florida, you just don’t see many videos on tidal fisheries
I usually fish it one time per season. So maybe 4-5 times per year. I don’t like going to the same lakes over and over again. It takes the fun out of fishing for me when I know exactly where I’m going to find and catch fish. I hadn’t fished the creek I fished in this video for 2 years.
I Like your videos a lot but not sure what to take from this one. You didn't find a pattern you found a school of fish relating to nothing because they were busting.. But to your credit you admitted it was a little lucky
Giant fish jumped out of the water 🤯🤣🤣 pause at 3:51
I saw that too!! Amazing
Gar
I thought swordfish 😂
I laughed so hard
That was so cool.
I get so stoked seeing Johnny landing the fish. Shows his theories from the FTMLive are legit. My two fav channels FTM and FTMLive.
I've been waiting.......your a stick. Dude
Keep it coming. Best you tuber that's not
A professional 👏 hands down best teaching channel

This is the kind of video that made you famous! Love the on the water “FTM” format. Keep em coming!
I fully agree! Awesome content
Great day Jonny .wish I could get some bigger fish down here . South miss
Great on the water adjustments! Thanks for the info!
Yoooooo at 3:50 a big fish jumps right behind you!!!
Thanks for another great bid Bubba! Keep it up

The suspense was killing me..lol
Thanks appreciate the content. God Bless and tight lines
Production value has come such a long way man! Always loved the videos, one of the best out there for sure 👊🏼 keep em coming
Anybody else see the spoonbill at 3:51? Lol big one too!
Top. Tier. Content.
Fun day!
Jonny, your biggest fish was behind you at the 3:50-:3:55 mark. LOL......When you coming back to Falls NC? (Pat W with the old Champion at Shearon Harris)
They’re Spoonbill. Don’t know why they jump but they’re thick in Grand, Hudson, and Fort Gibson.
Good information on this channel.
Good to see you out on the water. I liked the explanation for the lure changes. I can't fish for 8 hours anymore so it's important for me to fail fast as you say.
Hey can you look at a lake call Lake Simcoe, (It's located in Barrie, Ontario) known for giant smallmouth!
The fish that jumped out of the water in the background at 3:51 was hugeeeee. Big bass, jumped straight up lol.
It was a paddlefish
@@jpipfishing you trynna get paddled by these hands? ✊🏻

3:49. Was that a paddlefish that jumped behind him as he was talking?
Wow, Big Fish jumped and cleared the water at 3:50. It looked like a big gar. That's pretty wild. Are there gar in Grand?
There are gar in a shocking amount of water bodies
There are a lot of gar in grand but that was a spoonbill and there are piles of those too.
@@onebadcrewx4 thanks
@@onebadcrewx4 American paddlefish, thanks for clearing that up at least they don't eat bass. I have never seen one in the wild.
Were you throwing shallow and running that 6xd through that last brush pile?
Jonny we need the best summer tournament strategy live stream!!!

Like your fish scale, what is the brand and where did you buy?
Does Grand Lake have a consistent current like the Tennessee River enpoundments?? Or is it just flood control.
I'm 30 seconds in and im already loving this series. Great concept, Jonny!!
Johnny will change your life.
Please never stop making this type of videos, a vast majority of what I know I've learned from you, the rest field experience, thank you
This is what I love to watch you do.
Hope ya made it to Dripping Springs. Boomer Sooner!
Love watching your excitement meeting the challenge
Great video ! What is the brand and style of the yellow scale you are using ?
It’s the catch commander scale I believe it’s like 80 bucks
That fish that jumped behind you looked like a swordfish lmao @ 3:51
I noticed the odd shape too. I was thinking maybe a Gar. Looks like he is at Grand Lake in Kansas. And apparently a known fish in the lake is the Paddlefish. Guess they are jumpers.
This is what you call quality content.
is it a big paddle nose jumping out of water at 3:50 on your left?
You need to fish on the weekend for this video to be accurate. A boat on every spot makes it a lot different
This content is legit! Always love the videos! Been killing it! Keep it up!
Better to be lucky than good sometimes lol
That was an awesome teaching video, thanks Jonny!

Jonny, I’ve been one of the ones asking for a natural lake seminar for a couple months and just signed up for it. It will be my first seminar. Thanks for listening to us forgotten northerners lol.
Is that a gar jumping out of the water @3:50?
Question: how much gas do you go through when graphing a new lake?
No more than half a tank and usually around a 7-10 gallons. I do have an 18ft boat and a 150hp engine so I get better gas milage than most.
How about the big gar jumping behind you.?
What kind of scale are you using
Giant gar jumps straight out of water at 3:50... pretty cool!!!
Great stuff man!

What kind of fish jumped @ 3:50
Great video. I really need to develop graphing skills like yours! What kind of fish scale are you using?
Did anyone else see that fish jump out of the water on minute 3:50? What kind of fish is that?

What was that jumping at the 3:30 mark, that was awesome?
good sized one jumps over your left shoulder at just about 4 minutes in.
Thinking outside the box!! 👍🏻
anyone see the fish that jumped at 3:50
Awesome 👍 another great video
Love at 3:50- 3:52 the fish jump in the background....

You fish Grand Lake all the time? I feel like the "no practice" aspect is kind of unfair. Other than that, very informative.
