TB got me into bigger bait fishing this year and man has it paid off in a big way. Have caught several big fish on that 8” Mag, one being a new personal best at 8lb 9oz. Give it a go and don’t stop throwing it until you catch ‘em, then you won’t want to put it down lol

@@tacticalbassin you caught my pole… hahaha i’ve been watching you guys for years, absolutely love what you do, this is the best video I’ve ever seen, I took my nephew fishing seven years ago at Rocky Mountain in Rome Georgia, and he accidentally threw my pole in the water in front of the church, for you to actually hook into it and real it in and get it on camera is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen, what a small world. My uncle and I were fishing the California aqueduct last summer and he pulled up the whole setup just like that with the swimbait still attached. It was 7’ bigwater ugly stik, I think it had an ugly stik spinning reel on it also which I could not open to clean so I had to toss it out. My uncle let me have it. And a few months later that rod ended up catching 2 personal records back to back. A 31” striper on Sat and a 33” on Sun. The video is awesome! Thanks for sharing

I caught a 12” bass this weekend that had at least two 5-6” shad in its stomach. Also had one down it’s throat. One thing I’ve learned is don’t underestimate how big a bait a small fish will eat and don’t overestimate how small a bait a big fish will eat.
was fishing earlier this year, dropped a doll fly for crappie into a brush pile, 14" bass grabs it. I was shocked and impressed
I love the Mag Draft!!! I live on Lake Fork and smashed them in March. The biggest was 9.18!

Man Matt, Bull Shoals has been just how your saying at that lake. Alot of beds that are empty or with little bucks on them. We did have alot more water though, and then the Corp of Engineers, in all their wisdom, started dumping water and the weather dropped off so it got funky in the shallows. Deeper water is producing for me with swimbaits and jerkbaits.
Man we need some steady weather...Im ready for the skinny water to turn on!
Threw the Tactical Underspin 1/4oz/2.8 Keitech on a Expride B 7’2” ML casting rod/Aldebaran 50 today. Found my favorite Underspin and the perfect setup for it 💰

I would love to see you fish the Bassmaster Opens. Not to prove anything but to see your whole process. You could easily have a video series that documented everything. I think it would be amazing. You are easily one of the best freshwater fisherman in the world. You consistently catch monsters.

Nice vid! Thinking about getting into swimbaits. Was doing some research and thinking about getting the SLX swimbait rod 7'3 MH and pair it with the curado k 200 since im fishing on shore. Maybe only use 4 to 6 inch swimbaits that are around 1 to 3 oz.
Once u catch your 1st big bait bass...it's over...total addiction

Spot on about that little swimbait. Some of my best fish from last year came this exact time of year on 2.8 keitecks and other tiny crappie size swimbaits.

Matt, do you think a Megabass Blackjack has too stout of a backbone for a 8 inch Magdraft? I had been using a Tequila Baccarac, but I like the casting distance I get out of that 7'11" rod.

That's why I always have a sharpening stone in my pocket, always touch up dull hooks.
I've been fairly successful with big swimbaits past almost 3 yrs now. Mostly big soft baits like magdrafts, savage gear, citizens. I've only had couple glides & they we smaller like the islide 135 & gantrel jr. I just got a 9" klash9 with new color drop last week. I'm interested to see how I do with it in glide & crank mods. What big 9-10" suspending to really really slow float glide you would recommend. Price not being part of equation ??

@@tacticalbassin mainly looking at the 7’9 Heavy Dobyn’s Champion. I’m not a tall guy, 5’8”, so it’s been difficult for me to decide on one I feel wouldn’t be a nightmare to throw from the bank or kayak.

Crazy day of fishing this weekend, boat motor quit on us so trolling motor only. Tied up with my personal best from about 5 years ago with a fat 6lb pre spawn large mouth. Parts on order should be back in the water this weekend.

This is actually the stock handle on the Tranx high gear (HG). The slower speeds have a traditional handle.
