Lots of fun in this release. You can use a select container and modulation to switch between multiple stepwise instances for a simple 'rhythm patch selector' during jams
OMG that's amazing :o unrelated i wish Bitwig had a tuner/pitch detection module so I could have a tuner always on sight and I'd use it to trigger stuff from my guitar or vocals
I don't think the OG drums were lame. That's what people say when they aren't creative enough to understand how they can be used. I can't even understand how there is a subset of Bitwig users who claim the grid to get some sort of "gimmick" either
Probability by step is really missing in Stepwise. I have added this feature with a simple grid patch. It works great but it needs to be manually updated every time I change the number of steps or the speed of a track. Not very practical...
I won't upgrade yet.....they want 129.-- Euro in sale, more than Steinberg with Cubase. However it's progressing at Bitwig....coolio and thnx for the content!
I see on 8is there anyways to record step wise pattern as midi in bitwig?? i m trying but cant figure out... ps: i see it on 8:17 but cant seem to get this working on my version of bitwig
@@AlexReidStudios I got it to work... sorry... i didn't see how it works. i guess you have to make a new track with the source from another track's stepwise
Bitwig needs to work on functionality or do something innovative and cool like make a live looper thats sets tempo organically, only ableton has this feature, these plugins they keep adding are redundant imo when you can get a free or better paid plugin…def not paying for a upgrade for a step sequencer when I have better ones.
@@AlexReidStudiosbecause again devices that there are 100s on market with better functionality and again zero proper improvements. That’s why. Excuse from people that “I want it built in” is lame. I can replace every single device with better plugin but I cannot replace functionality! I feel sorry I have to explained trivial things. Ah yeh! I forgot it is bitwig community. “Best update ever” yeeey!…🤦
3:31 Effect reminds me of Shiz by The Tuss
Thanks!
Yoo thank you so much!!
@@AlexReidStudios thank you for all your review and tutorial(s)... they have been very helpful for me to learn bitwig :)
Great video and sound! Thank you!
Thank you!
I love V0 so much. I've been using it ever since downloading 5.3 beta
Me too, love specially the hihat and the snare

Just got BitWig. Seems like so much fun. 🕺
Yoo welcome to the club, hope you like it
i kinda want that freq shifted but i ran out of subscription again lately and like.. it's not the most important feature i'm waiting for^^
The new Bitwig looks amazing.
Stepwise is ok. I wish they gave it the probability that the piano roll has.
Ever heard of a "beta release" before?
@ Have they stated probability would be in the full version or are you just being weird about this?

That'd be a great feature
Awesome!

Thanks for watching :)
When is the final version coming out ?
It's currently in pre-release, but I don't know the official date
i still think the grid would make a great plugin. also CAT!!!
Caaaaaaaat
I’d like to see probability come to stepwise.
Looks wiiiiild 🤟

You can just hit record, or add a new instrument track and set on the inspector to receive midi from the drum track
@@AlexReidStudios weirdly it doesn't work for me...not sure if there is a bug on my program or something else...
@@AlexReidStudios it may be a bug specific to windows 10... reported a issue and see if they have any resolution

sorry for being a newbie...i got it work, it seems for now it has to be on a new track...hope you can have a video showing this more in depth
Hi, is this official release?
@@partlysimpson5154 not yet, currently on beta

Absolute crap.
Why?
