I think Palpatine knew of some of these other threats. He was a tactical mastermind, but he must have known that even he couldn't strategize against the unknown ancient regions. Creatures older, and more terrifying than any Sith. He was consolidating power, building weapons capable of destroying planets. This wasn't just to defeat rebels, or a Jedi. This was to prepare for a threat beyond the light/dark side. It would be interesting to see a pretty scary threat like Palpatine discussing something far more sinister than himself.

A race that can resist most force powers would represent a legitimate challenge for Luke's Jedi order to overcome, while the new republic would have the challenge of uniting every planet in the known galaxy to unify to repel the invasion. George Lucas apparently envisioned Darth Maul to play a big part in his ideas for a sequel trilogy, so perhaps Maul's Crimson Dawn syndicate could be allied with the Vong, serving various intelligence and underground services to the vong, in exchange for increased power and influence in a more expansive, vong controlled galaxy. Instead we have the misery of the Disney sequel trilogy.
I would have loved to see Abeloth be featured or, at least, referenced for having some level of influence in the sequel films at some point. There would not need to be an actress per say, just an reintroduction of the Force Wielders' or even an local sector associated with her. Nothing like a temple as seen in the final season of Rebels but ancient, long forgotten formations. It would more likely have to include places Morriban, places heavy in the Dark Side galaxy-wide. These long form compilation videos are great. The main issue I run into when listening to your videos was that they would be too short because I often like to listen to them while working or driving. But it can be a hassle to select a new video after every 5 or 8 minutes. So these are great. Your videos are good quality and interesting. Thank you
I absolutely love these kind of lore videos. It would be truly amazing to get a long horror/thriller based film showing Abeloth becoming the force beast she truly is. It would start with her stranded on the planet of the Ones, then end with her eventually absorbing the fonts of power then dominating her "family".
My idea : The 'Unkown regions' could once be travelled, like the rest of the galaxy, but a long time ago a massive war between some highly advanced civilizations, that saw the unrestricted use of near apocalyptical weapons, like weaponized stellar engineering, made travelling in this area a hazardous endevour, even in modern times. But so it might also be possible to find technological artifacts far beyond immagination, or an automated weapon system whose reactivation can doom entire star systems.
Mnggal-Mnggal is a troublesome enemy, wish I knew what if anything breaks down its body. As for starweirds, not just the force but also force-fields affect them, I theorize that by manipulating them correctly and or using several, one could kill a star-weird without use of the force. Perhaps some sort of force saber, or better yet, a force field gun to keep it at a distance so it can't use its shriek.
There is a star wars audiobook that's basically horror themed. It's based on an Imperial ship that gets infected with a zombie like virus. Basically picture a story from the perspective of a regular trooper, trapped on a star destroyer filled with zombies.
Heres a better tip to beat such rabble. Bring as many Ysalamiri on board your ship when travelling. These great lizards would repel any force beast or abominations and save your life countless times over.
Abeloth was near Kessel, in the Maw, opposite of the unknown regions. And Kamino was near Rishi, which was on the opposite side of the unknown regions if I remember right?
I would love for some of these concepts to be a game. Remember Commando? Well being a non Jedi character, you'd explore these regions. An easy resident evil style star wars game.
I say rehire the same actors, replace the trilogy story with the yuzong vong as a threat. 1st introduce them, first contact and establish force users on tje losing side at first, leading into the 2nd, which would be the fight aginst them on a galaxy wide scale that slowly specifies into a story focusing on our main characters trying to find a solution and how to use it creating a unified galaxy against a common enemy, 3rd would be the carrying out of the solution and a seriously climactic final battle with our main charcters having developed their own character arcs over the trilogy. Incredibly oversimplified outline, I rest my case.
Yes. The entire point of Thrawn trying to reunite the Empire was because of the War with the Yuuzhan Vong and their threat to the galaxy. Being from the Unknown Regions allowed him a perspective most didn't have on the threats to the galaxy that existed there.
As far as I remember it's mentioned somewhere that the Emperor had a force vision of something huge lurking in the unknown regions and that's why he got into contact to the Chiss to have eyes on that border. According to him, the galaxy needed to be united under the sith with a high military force to be able to take on anything coming from out there.
Sorcerers of Rand seem like walking contradictions. They seek out constant destruction yet don't destroy themselves as part of that destruction, and the whole "we can create the future, but you know its not guaranteed" kinda like the random chance that would happen without some magical power.
My theory is that starwierds are sith force ghosts that have been further corrupted by the dark side after death and that if a starwierd king exists then I like to think that that’s darth nihilus
Space is extremely empty, you could be in our solar system and plot a random course towards the center of our galaxy and the chance colliding with something like a planet or asteorid would be insignificant...
The Mongol Mongol is similiar to the Flood From Halo, With The Hivemind and Objective to Consume anything and Everything. Even using The Undead for that Purpose.
Yikes. Much to learn I still have. It's fascinating learning that there are things that could be more dangerous than anything I've seen in the movies and shows
Imagine a series: Star Wars: Lost in the Unknown Regions. And its a sith and a jedi whom were fighting messing up their ship amidst there fight so much they get lost in the deepest reaches of space, and get attacked by the outer beings and end up working together to survive, and develop a brotherhood from working together. It would be a fantastic horror series.
There was an official star wars anima anthology series released a couple years ago - excellent stuff. That would be the prime candidate to explore such concepts
Excellent video, we need more videos about the original star wars EU and less of Disney shite, The New Jedi Order series was the best, so brutal, you never knew who was going to die next, it kept you on edge throughout the whole series. Can I just correct you 2 things though, 0:27 "be wary" not "weary"... weary means to be tired, wary is to be cautious. 02:00 it was the empire strikes back, not a new hope, unless I'm missing something? There’s so many cool things in the real Star Wars universe. We could’ve had such a good run of new stories if Disney hadn’t gone full Disney. You never go full Disney.
I wanted to write a story: Padme survived and was taken to the unknown regions by a pioneer, who married her then. A figure of her was buried instead of her. She was forbidden from returning to the Empire not to be scented out by Palpatine. Years later she escaped to find her children and was killed in the destruction of Alderaan
Imagine this, a survival horror game set on a fleet of broken down Republic vessels sent into the Unknown Regions on a scientific expedition, much akin to that ship graveyard section in Dead Space 3, with your character having to evade the Starweirds while attempting to find a way off the broken fleet and escaping back to Republic space. Normally I’d say that would never happen given Disney’s ownership of the IP these days, but considering that Respawn have been knocking it out of the park with the games telling Cal Kestus’ story and we’re due for a game from Ubisoft set from a bounty hunter’s point of view, I could see something a bit more mature getting greenlit so long as there’s enough demand for it.
I really hate myself rn for watching this before going to bed. Well I can´t wait to remember the horrors in my dreams for the next month or so. Wish me luck poor souls

From what I’ve heard about skeleton crew being a stranger things style of teen show, I think it would be so cool to have a star weird episode. I couldn’t imagine something scarier than one showing up out of nowhere and then chasing the crew around the ship
It is known that if you don't plan a route before going into hyperspace, you can fly right into a star. Hyperspace is achieved by speed. It's not a dimension. If that were the case, Han wouldn't have said "Hold on tight". Also, you can tell it's speed by watching a ship go into hyperspace.
@@BrandontheAwesome A "What if?" type series would actually work pretty well for these threats, you just have to have the right person helm it. It's not enough to just be a 'fan' of Star Wars, and be a competent director or writer, you have to be brave enough to dive into places that normally only people like John Carpenter or Dario Argento or other horror directors would go, and not have it be so extreme that it can't be shown on Disney +. It's a delicate balance, even if Disney gave their full support and took a hands-off approach. Someone mentioned Guillermo del Toro, and I can't say I disagree; I can see him putting together something very great, if he collaborates with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. He has a new series coming out that includes a Lovecraft adaptation, so he's not afraid of cosmic horror. But he can also dial it back to make it palatable for younger audiences, and not have it a full blown gore fest (even in animated form).

Adding new stuff would be good if they will keep the games main story 100% accurate.
It's like the flood from Halo 😂
Would love a star wars horror movie
That would be fucking cool. Star Wars meets Dead Space
There is a star wars audiobook that's basically horror themed. It's based on an Imperial ship that gets infected with a zombie like virus. Basically picture a story from the perspective of a regular trooper, trapped on a star destroyer filled with zombies.
@@thesanfranciscoseahorse473 that's cool! Is it canon or did Disney toss it to the outer rim?
@@Cheekiemoney I believe it's available on Audible. "Death Troopers" by Joe Schreiber? I believe that's it. I do not know if it is cannon.
@Djangus Roundstone death troopers has always been legends content but the virus used in it was made canon in 2014 by a mobile game so maybe someday
Heres a better tip to beat such rabble. Bring as many Ysalamiri on board your ship when travelling. These great lizards would repel any force beast or abominations and save your life countless times over.
Lizards? So i just have to take Zuckerberg with me and i will be fine.
Question: Do i want him with me on a trip through the unknown regions?
@@Haggysack2k8 Have we concluded he is a lizard and not a robot yet tho ?
@@MyrmThaBadMan A robot lizard? I am not sure yet.
@@Schattennebel Or maybe he's Skaven. Clan Meta triumphant, yes yes
Abeloth was near Kessel, in the Maw, opposite of the unknown regions. And Kamino was near Rishi, which was on the opposite side of the unknown regions if I remember right?
Star Wars goes Lovecraft? I love it.
Starhammer 40k
@@voidseeker4394Warwars 40k
Give us a unknown regions horror movie NOW!!
I would love for some of these concepts to be a game. Remember Commando? Well being a non Jedi character, you'd explore these regions. An easy resident evil style star wars game.
Always remember: it is not "new canon" and "old canon."
It is "new canon" and "TRUE canon"
Amen
Shit in the unknown space makes star wars turn from star wars to fkn Warhammer 40k if you get unlucky enough 😂😭😂
There was also the Republic's xenocidal crusades too!
You are a true fan of what Star Wars should be👍
They could just make the book series of the Yuzong Vong invasion as a Disney+ series and the tech they used to put Luke in the Book of Boba Fett.
You could replace the Vong's with Abeloth and it would still work, yet Disney looked at these 2 option and said nope
Yes. The entire point of Thrawn trying to reunite the Empire was because of the War with the Yuuzhan Vong and their threat to the galaxy. Being from the Unknown Regions allowed him a perspective most didn't have on the threats to the galaxy that existed there.
This is exactly why KotoR 3 would've been the greatest piece of Star Wars media of all time
I’d like to know the thoughts of sideous on these creatures. And if he thanks he could beat them
As far as I remember it's mentioned somewhere that the Emperor had
a force vision of something huge lurking in the unknown regions and that's why he got into contact to the Chiss to have eyes on that border. According to him, the galaxy needed to be united under the sith with a high military force to be able to take on anything coming from out there.
I would love to see movies representing these regions
Star wars horror movie if done right could be game changing
Could you imagine a Star Wars horror movie based on the starweirds
My friend and I are writing a Star Wars type story that features the starweirds. Probably won't get the rights to publish though.
@@Unagam1GD you could possibly turn it into a comic or animated video if you have the resources. I'd like to see that story 1 day
@@zogood3495 We're making it a three title series that features the unknown region adventures of two new characters
@@Unagam1GD keep us posted and market it soon!
This is the best channel to dive into and understand Star Wars lore. I never knew how deep this actually is. Amazing 😎👍
Sorcerers of Rand seem like walking contradictions. They seek out constant destruction yet don't destroy themselves as part of that destruction, and the whole "we can create the future, but you know its not guaranteed" kinda like the random chance that would happen without some magical power.
I’m starting a SW:F&D RPG game for my wife, and this has given me so many ideas for our game.
My theory is that starwierds are sith force ghosts that have been further corrupted by the dark side after death and that if a starwierd king exists then I like to think that that’s darth nihilus
I think your theory is possible. With Starwierds being sith ghosts that have been further corrupted by the dark side.
A starwierd king would prob be tenebrous/valkorion
They should have a unknown regions animated series. It would be so interesting. Great videos btw
Asteroid worm is in empire...:)
Also I don't remember thing in Solo. I'm sure it's there. I'm gonna have to rewatch Solo!!
How come this Ramdites didn´t became the main antagonists instead of bringing back Palpatine?
How would Dark side Yoda or even prime Yoda fair against these creatures/entities?
Loving the new format I can kill 1/16 of a shift listening to lore I like it
Since the Yuzhan Vong are from a different galaxy entirely I’m very interested in what else is in the star wars universe
So the Biggest Threat To The Star Wars Universe is essentially what if a warhammer 40k or lovecraftian species existed in star wars
If I had to travel through deep space, I'd legit close the blast shields to every window on the ship.
I think Force light could potentially kill a starweird.
Yikes. Much to learn I still have. It's fascinating learning that there are things that could be more dangerous than anything I've seen in the movies and shows
That's exactly right. I listen to these while I do stuff sometimes. Usually I just watch tho.
Imagine a series:
Star Wars: Lost in the Unknown Regions.
And its a sith and a jedi whom were fighting messing up their ship amidst there fight so much they get lost in the deepest reaches of space, and get attacked by the outer beings and end up working together to survive, and develop a brotherhood from working together. It would be a fantastic horror series.
Aw, dude that's awesome.
Love that
This is a better idea than anything disney has made
There was an official star wars anima anthology series released a couple years ago - excellent stuff. That would be the prime candidate to explore such concepts
Congratulations. Your comment is better then anything Disney ever did with Star Wars.
Anyone else still waiting for part 3 of Qui Gon training Anakin?
That's some Warhammer 40K right there. Those are Warp Demons. Ooooo can we have some Chaos Jedi? That would be kind of awesome.
Imagine being a powerful sith controlling that squid monster. It would be amazing.
The Starweirds remind me of those spirits that came out of the Ark of the Covenant!
Excellent video, we need more videos about the original star wars EU and less of Disney shite,
The New Jedi Order series was the best, so brutal, you never knew who was going to die next, it kept you on edge throughout the whole series.
Can I just correct you 2 things though, 0:27 "be wary" not "weary"... weary means to be tired, wary is to be cautious.
02:00 it was the empire strikes back, not a new hope, unless I'm missing something?
Anyway bro, do another vid, love it!!
I watch your videos and those like yours while im drifting off to sleep. You give me weird dreams.
"NEVER Go To The Unknown Regions" Well there go my afternoon plans
they should make a new show about one of the species in the unknown regions to show us how dangerous the area is and what the area/planets looks like
Can you please do some work on Vitiate,Valkorion for a future video please, I love all your content on the ancient Sith Lords and love all your videos. Please make more longer compilations, possibly one very long one on the old republic?? Keep up the Entity level work!!!!!
Wow what a gold mine for Star Wars tv series or movie projects Disney will never touch but we will see.
Alternate timeline. Anakin (uninjured) and the Jedi after destroying the Emperor face off against these foes.
There’s so many cool things in the real Star Wars universe. We could’ve had such a good run of new stories if Disney hadn’t gone full Disney. You never go full Disney.
Abeloth made palpatine look like a youngling
Amazing and extremely entertaining yet grotesque and even spooky at times.
Mid
“In the background while you cook or work or whatever” while I’m literally cooking with this in the background hahahah
This is where the fun begins 😎
So.... Starwars universe has Enderman? noted.
And/or SCP-096.
I really hope the StarWeirds are introduced into cannon.
That nightmare fuel could be a great contrast to the usual enemies we see in SW
Be *wary of the unknown. Weary means tired. Wary means cautious. I wouldn't be so pedantic except you're using it as your tagline ;p

your content is wonderful. the information is fantastic. the graphics and art are beautiful. your cadence and inflection and tone could NOT POSSIBLY sound more like a third grader reading their lines at a school play.
CORRECTION:
It was in The Empire Strikes Back - NOT A New Hope - where we are first introduced to asteroid worms in Star Wars.
I wish they would feature this in movies
It's a shame Disney decanonized the entire expanded universe
From what I’ve heard about skeleton crew being a stranger things style of teen show, I think it would be so cool to have a star weird episode. I couldn’t imagine something scarier than one showing up out of nowhere and then chasing the crew around the ship
Lucasfilm comics really said "aight imma make space Ohio"
It is known that if you don't plan a route before going into hyperspace, you can fly right into a star. Hyperspace is achieved by speed. It's not a dimension. If that were the case, Han wouldn't have said "Hold on tight". Also, you can tell it's speed by watching a ship go into hyperspace.
Hopefully Disney will never touch the untouched universes of Star Wars
Knowing Disney, I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
But he can also dial it back to make it palatable for younger audiences, and not have it a full blown gore fest (even in animated form).
like the pyramids of old and the ancient artifacts they hold, you come seeking great power, but great power is always protected.
