The Starweird are the least of anyone's concerns in the horrifying depths of the unknown regions. Ancient Sith Spirits , Sith Cultists, and worlds lost to the time of the old republic await any wary travellers. The Rakatan empire had many worlds under their control, including one's with horrifying Sith Mutations , the Nekghoul being the prime example, the homeworld of the Rakghoul is rumoured to be in the unknown regions cut off after the jedi wiped all records of these events after the great hyperspace war.
I like how starweird are embodiment, manifestations of the dark side though. Proving that the nature of the unknown regions is a power unto itself, a mystical area with naturally occuring dark side influence. They and their queen are obviously sentient. Needs to be some more detailed lore written about them, or maybe better left as more a mystery? Or maybe there's an ancient Sith holocron out there that explains everything ever known about them?
It just shows that Anakin/Vader has super strong force powers that are so powerful that it could even challenge entities that embody the dark side of the force itself.
I always love when any franchise adds some deep lore that is utterly horrific. It's always fun to learn about this thing or event that happened before the main story that scares me in some sorta way.
That thumbnail looks like it’s straight out of Star Wars Supernatural Encounters can’t wait to see you cover some of the crazy stuff in that piece of EU Lore. Can’t lie watching this one at 4 AM probably wasn’t the best idea awesome lore but pretty spooky lol.
Seeing stuff like this is what i love of star wars, i remember when i was a kid and discovered there was a lot more to star wars outside the movies, all that thanks to the force unleashed 1 for the wii and figures of characters from the expanded universe i used to see in comic stores
The Unknown Regions were my favorite part of Legends. It’s just so cool and anything could be added in there with how huge a galaxy is. I love story telling so it presents huge opportunities for new stories.
The Unknown Regions are like any number of anomalies and hazards that can be found in Star Trek, but R-Rated. "Alien despots hell-bent on killing us? Deadly spaceborne viruses and bacteria? Incomprehensible cosmic anomalies that could wipe us out in an instant!"
So…Force gods using sentient insects to build them space stations? I'm sure the story itself makes sense, but out of context it sounds absolutely ridiculous. Star Weirds sound a lot like interstellar White Walkers.
one method i use as a means to include sith purebloods in modern star wars RPs and such they hid their knowing that most species and casual exploration wouldn't be able to find them their which also forged certain impurities out of their culture that i partly believe was at least amplified by the dark jedi. such as making them much more unified to survive in such a dangerous region as well as potentially through survival of the fittest also make them even more powerful then they were both through further weeding out the weak and dumb but also maybe resorted to alchemy and genetic modification to enhance the survivability of their species. with mainly just keeping spies and infiltrators being their main interaction with the wider galaxy to keep a eye on events but also get a hold of resources and tech when able some versions of this idea have also been slowly trying to alter and erase galactic historical records in regards to them partly as a means to explain legends star wars history and the current one the sith were erasing themselves from any records they could get ahold of which would also adjust and erase many other parts of history. Also given they likely remember what adas did to the rakata they might finish the job in part takeover any territory the rakata still control if anything cause those worlds would likely be habitable and unknown by other factions potentially
As a Mando follower I find it cool and fascinating a.f that an outcast ,sub sect cult like the Warriors of shadow merged into the sorcerers of Rhand. Mando lore got so interesting, layered over time, I think its awesome. Another Mando splinter faction, but ancient and mysterious.
In the quiet of the night aboard the USS Enterprise, Commander Riker and Captain Picard found themselves in the captain's ready room, enjoying a rare moment of relaxation. The stars outside the window formed a mesmerizing backdrop, a reminder of the vastness of space they explored together. "Jean-Luc, do you ever tire of this endless journey?" Riker asked, his voice soft, almost reflective. Picard looked up from his book, a slight smile playing on his lips. "There are moments, Will, when the solitude of command can weigh heavily. But then, I think of the crew, of the friendships we've forged, and it all seems worthwhile." Riker nodded, understanding the sentiment all too well. "We've been through so much together. It's those bonds that keep us going, I think." The captain set his book aside and leaned back in his chair. "Indeed. It's not just the exploration of the unknown that drives us, but the connections we make along the way." There was a comfortable silence between them, one that spoke of years of mutual respect and camaraderie. Riker walked over to the replicator and ordered two glasses of Saurian brandy, handing one to Picard. "To friendship," Riker toasted, raising his glass. "To friendship," Picard echoed, clinking his glass against Riker's.
Wouldn’t the creepy creeps within the Unknown fear or get beat up by creepier creeps? Or is there some kind of an understanding to pick only on outsiders? The Randites who can imprison people within their minds with the power of the Force, and torment them with horrors eternal, seem like a particularly nasty sect. I think I’ll go around, and not use the region as a shortcut. Maybe I missed this, but how did they get there? Were they originally cast there as some sorts of prisoners? Is it the region that’s haunted, or did its inhabitants make it so? Can and do they go into the known regions to seek souls? Is there a hyperspace component to their existence? Are they spacefaring and have technology? (I guess the Laths were, to the extreme.). So many questions! It seems like a Dark Side clearinghouse there - is that what keeps the Force balanced? I thought the mention of an (or ‘the’) anti-Force was interesting; I’ll have to check out your other documentary. I like how supposedly the “Celestials ‘de-powered’ and ‘relocated’ the…” to secure the Kilix…very British use of the word ‘de-powered!’ 😊. The Celestials must have been quite the race. Are there any stories written that details their origin and heyday story? Do they still exist?
Perhaps they leave eachother alone due to history. Maybe they went at it once but ultimately stopped do to even footing, like a never ending game of tug of war.
You should’ve added the Chiss. Because as a species of near-humans with no special attributes, aside from infrared vision and slightly higher intelligence, they built the most stable government capable of fighting off threats that would end all life in the Core, Mid and Outer Rims.
It would be great to see how all these creatures fight between themselves. Also makes me think that most likely a super strong civilization that can face them
Is there a grand timeline of the SW galaxy, at a very high level, the starts with the beginnings of intelligent life all the way up to the Story’s ‘present?’ Oh, and is there any extra-galactic travel in the SW Storyline at all? Maybe from the migration from other galaxies way, way back? I remember seeing a doc that implied an SDI could travel from the Milky Way to Andromeda in three…can’t remember - three days, weeks, years. Does the galaxy have a proper name like ours, the Milky Way?
I'd like to think that theres a Warhammer40k-esque pocket universe of events taking place in the unknown region, and to protect the rest of the galaxy, the force segregated it. 😂😂😂
The reason why abeloth became extremely OP was because she drank from the pool of knowledge in star wars high potential+knowledge=POWER if Disney wouldn't had canceled the EU we would have the super natural encounters books and learn more about king adas the rakatas tulak hord ajunta pall Karnes murr xoxox ect
Thats the same thing in the lore of mass effect . The alliance forbids travel through several mass relays . Because of monstrosities in Unknown regions behind these mass relays and the wars that come with it .
I really doubt they’ll touch either one. Since Dave, and whoever they bring in from Disney to work on Star Wars, feel the need to make new things instead of using things already existing. Usually.
I feel like the unknown regions are like our Earths oceans, what the hells could exist out there.

My favorite type of Star Wars lore is the unknown regions. Thank you for adding even more videos on it.
I love the unknown regions it's so cool and terrifying l want to see more this conor of the galaxy in future of star wars
Disney will never do it too dark gritty mature serious and violent for Disney star wars
Cosmic horror star wars would be kinda cool
ok but the fact that a Starweird saw Vader on a ship and turned around is cold as fuck
It just shows that Anakin/Vader has super strong force powers that are so powerful that it could even challenge entities that embody the dark side of the force itself.

You may enjoy warhammer 40k
Another great vid, you guys and manda lore are the 2 most under rated SW channels IMO
Glad you think so!
The Mnggal-Mnggal is basically the Star Wars version of Venom

Yeah speaking with Joe Bongiorno on how to best handle it at the moment
The unknown regions are terrifying, and cool, and creepy.

Just imagine how powerful exar kun vitiate and papaltine would have become if they drank from the pool of knowledge
It would make more sense for them to drink from the fountain of power rather than bathe in the pool of knowledge
ULTIMATE POWER indeed.
WOW! That was the most haunted thing in Star Wars Galaxy!
Dinosaurs with guns dinosaurs with guns dinosaurs with guns
So…Force gods using sentient insects to build them space stations? I'm sure the story itself makes sense, but out of context it sounds absolutely ridiculous.
Star Weirds sound a lot like interstellar White Walkers.
This is where I hope we go in the next Jedi game following the path of the Zeffo with a Starweird boss in there somewhere

The thing with the Mnggal-Mnggal, can it survive in a vaccum?
If not, just vaporize the planets it infected.

This is why star wars would kill it with a horror anthology

I got so immersed in that I heard Patrick Stewarts voice when reading his dialogue lol.
Good writing 👍

Can you make a video on why some Sith used swords instead of lightsabers?
You should’ve added the Chiss. Because as a species of near-humans with no special attributes, aside from infrared vision and slightly higher intelligence, they built the most stable government capable of fighting off threats that would end all life in the Core, Mid and Outer Rims.
How could all these things co-exist together in the unknown regions?
My respect lies with The now now
It would be great to see how all these creatures fight between themselves.
Also makes me think that most likely a super strong civilization that can face them

Yeah Abeloth was so powerful that she managed to escape her own universe and become Kathleen Kennedy and completely destroy the Star Wars series
Wait I thought that Rakata died out didn't they? Or did I miss something?
looking forward for the video on the yu xeong von wars (i spelt that all wrong) and the jedi's responce and the impact on the huts ... exetra

So Suvi Imperium is just dinosaur space nazis with life sucking powers cool
I'm 100% sure dave filoni and Disney will ruin the rakatas and abeloth

Yeah. But they still add new things that weren’t in the EU before.
@@AlonzoTompkins Disney writers can't create anything great own their own the high republic was trash
@@AlonzoTompkinsI doubt they’ll touch either as well. Unless somehow they can wrap DEI and wokeness into their script.
