  • Cook while you work, easy recipe if you have a slow cooker or instant pot with slow cooker function. You don’t have to copy exactly the ingredients, I highly encourage experimenting with ingredients according to dietary needs, nutrition goals and taste. This is a complete meal as long as you maintain the category of legumes (provide protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals) whole grain (provides protein complementary to legumes , complex carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins and minerals) vegetables (more vitamins as minerals and antioxidant rich, more fiber, and flavour!) herbs and spices (flavour!!! Antioxidants and polyphenols, bioflavonoids, and also vitamins and minerals for disease prevention and fighting properties) and extra virgin olive oil for healthy fats (helps absorb vitamins and minerals as well as provide mouth feel and flavour enhancement, supports brain and gut health and necessary for hormone production). All this great and necessary reasons to eat real Whole Foods mostly plants for disease prevention and even reversal. A lack of the above mentions plants are why chronic disease rates are escalating. Eat well, live and function well!
