April 2023- watching from Mexico, I am a retired preschool teacher living my best life ever! Teaching the bible and crafting for my friends and family.❤
Farmhouse and French country is not popular in coastal Florida, but ANYTHING beachy or coastal does. So I make these in what I call a coastal farmhouse style! You are right, you have to find out what works in your area. Love you channel!
You’re exactly right you just have to do your research to see what cells best in your area and go for it I can see how the coastal would do really well in your area down in Florida
In my area we are so over signs which have sayings on them. But the $ store does have some cute ones. I can put 10 minutes of regular hourly earnings towards any 1 of them. I do get wood for free from building supply stores & build infrastructure with them. Arbors, pergolas, larger bird or bat houses, small raised bed garden boxes, little garages for green bins/garbage cans or bikes. Always can figure out ways to use all sizes of various thicknesses of lumber, wire shelving etc. When stores change over for any reason their dumpsters are full of treasures! Frugal living on very low income has paid off as I accumulate properties to landscape with interesting structures to sell for a bit of profit...but mostly to keep really active/busy to ensure that I am not a senior whining about loneliness or poverty. Glad that you & your viewers have also found ways to invest in yourself w. regards to your capability at this time. That of course is fluid if you are ambitious & a lifetime learner.
Watching from a suburb of Raleigh, NC (Southeast USA) I just 'found' you a few days ago and I'm hooked. You have some wonderful ideas, and explain how you do everything so well. Oh! You shared how to make chalk paint with baby powder, and now if I want to use chalk paint without making a whole bunch, I put a little PVA glue in a well on my little plastic palette, add the paint color I want to use, and then sprinkle baby powder in the center well of the palette. I stir up the paint and glue, dampen my brush, dip it in the baby powder, dip in the paint, and then stipple them together on the edge of the paint well. Works like an absolute charm, and I would never have thought of it without your help.
Just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to go through everything - it was really great to see you do it in real time and have you explain everything. Thank you from Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 😊❤❤
Thank you for another great video! Just a tip I've learned to make white letters on a dark background using negative space and layers of paint with sickers or cricut. So for example, i paint the sign area white, then print out the word(s) I want in letters and place on the white paint (or use letter stickers from dollar store). Brush the whole sign including over the letters with black or another dark colour. After it dries most but not all the way i peel off the stickers and voila, white letters appear!
Thank you so much! I’ve been able to accumulate a lot of scrap wood, I worked in a construction company in the office and they were always throwing away scraps and they would let me know when they had them so I took my truck and grabbed them all plus neighbors throwing things away And for the printer I was able to go on our local marketplace and get a really nice printer for $20. It works perfect and I make my own chalk paint because I buy the oops paint from Lowe’s and use that so you’re right Deidre it doesn’t take a lot of money if you just know how to be frugal getting your supplies together and any time goodwill would have packs of brushes for $.99 I would just grab all I could and I’m still using all that And even my printer/computer paper a lot of times Goodwill will have big packs of that really cheap. I’ve learned all my techniques as far as the transfers on wood and so forth from your channel. You do an excellent job explaining how you do this. I appreciate you so much you’re awesome! Also, I’m from Indiana
Hey one other tip. I'm from Canada so I'm not 100% sure you have this in your location. But, in Canada we have paint recycling centers that also give away their 'used' paints. Its basically a huge 'oops' center. You could take your money saving efforts to the next level! Some of the colors are admittedly hideous, but for the most part the colors are neutrals. I painted my house entirely at least three times with this technique. Another thing I would do is if I wanted a specific color like Greige for example, I would get an empty five gallon bucket and mix my own color by using mistints and the whites I would find. I would also strongly advise straining the paint as there sometimes are crusties in them.

When do you go live. I try to watch as much as I can. But it can be a week or so after you taped it. You answered a lot of my questions I had in this video. Thank you for the tax tip. I try to support my Canadians UA-camrs as much as I can. Are your prices in Canadian currency. I found a laser printer on line for 60$. It does just black. I’m glad to know I can do colour just using my inkjet printer. I’m from Southern Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦 I have learned so much from you.
I have made furniture for behind couches & for the kids playroom by using left over drywall. Cutting long narrow U notches 1/2 way in each pc so that pcs overlap like a 3 dimensional X& hold onto one another. Then use pretty vynil, on sale, wallpaper or Mack- tack to cover the entire thing, do each pc sparely & then the furniture can be taken apart to pack flat. My kids loved the low to their height coffee table in their nursery. For outdoors or if in a rental when you need to move often, can use pcs of plywood too. 'Crafting' can come in all forms & sizes can't it? Only imagination & willingness limits people...scrap is often free.
I live in South West Florida. The highest traffic at craft shows and flea markets is during the snowbird peak season which is winter time. Farmhouse décor as well as Coastal, is the highest trend every year. I totally agree, people still use Farmhouse décor to dress up their homes.
I bought one your images from your etsy store and printed it on plain paper. I put it in a frame that I painted and it sold the first day I put it in my booth.

Hi watching from Maryland.
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed.
I live in South West Florida. The highest traffic at craft shows and flea markets is during the snowbird peak season which is winter time. Farmhouse décor as well as Coastal, is the highest trend every year. I totally agree, people still use Farmhouse décor to dress up their homes.
Yes I find still sells well here also
Watching from Central California. 😘

I bought one your images from your etsy store and printed it on plain paper. I put it in a frame that I painted and it sold the first day I put it in my booth.
No way!! That’s awesome ❤️❤️
