So funny bc my mom passed 2 me that same ish table & chairs! Wish I had had the foresight 2 change the colors & enjoy them so much MORE instead of leaving original... Great inspiration here👍❣️👍
I love all your wisdom and advice. It's really helpful because what I like is often not what most people like. For example, I love red mahogany on certain pieces. I love glass doors, so it's really helpful to know that most people prefer China cabinets/hutches without the glass. My favorite look is Craftsman because I love the clean simple lines, but I have an old lady in me that has always loved all kinds of antiques. I don't care for ornate details in my house, but I truly appreciate the craftsmanship of that era of antiques.
We love y'all and I feel like we are friends for life ❤️ I love seeing you happy again and thank God for sending you Ryan. And thank you Ryan for coming into Stephanie's life ❤️
Absolutely amazing. Not a drop of paint anywhere you did not want. I dont think you even got paint on your hands! Plus you chose really good music . Enjoyed this video even though i had seen a lot of these in full.
I think your pieces are beautiful, especially the green ones and the black ones, oh, and that lemon fabric on the little stool was gorgeous!!! I love watching you paint, it makes me think I might can do that myself. God bless y'all Jude, from Kentucky ✝️🐴🇺🇸⚒️🇺🇸
Your work and furniture makeovers are truly beautiful and amazing The yellow and white table would make a perfect island for my kitchen. Unfortunately I live in Tennessee.
On the other hand, I love you Cory, and the videos, but turn I off the music unless it's instrumental. The new age-y vocals seems to be a new thing lately, but i think they're awful ! Sometimes, I miss the info and have to back track. Sorry ! ☹️❤
In our part of the SOUTH, we love mahogany, walnut, cherry and oak wood and furniture. Maybe because we are an antebellum town. We pride ourselves on generation and blended furniture for a warm, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Natchez,Ms. Good job!
When cutting the wood and spray painting I would suggest your husband should wear a good mask to protect his lungs in the future damage done now will be felt later in life. Great work and well done.
I really enjoy watching your videos. The music you play is so relaxing. The furniture redos and music are a perfect match for coffee on a lazy Saturday morning. Thanks
I loved the green table, until you added the stripe ,but that me sorry. Thank you for saying how much better things look without doors. I’ve watched this video twice before tat registered with me. I have my grandmother’s Hosier cabinet , my mother refinished it ,she must have got her idea from a comic book,it looks awful.Thank you so much for the inspiration to make some changes on it. I love it so much because I remember coming home from school and she was standing there making Mexican wedding cookies because she knew I loved them so much. She was a safe haven for me thanks again I can refresh her
Just an old woodworkers tip-sand with the grain of the wood not across the grain. You'll remove less wood which is important if the furniture piece has a veneer on it instead of being solid wood.
I have been watching your channel for a couple years now and I just think you're as cute as anything and you do such nice inventive ways to to refurbished furniture I just really like the work you do so keep it up repurpose
I wish more furniture flippers took the time to do the bottom like you do. No matter how beautiful the paint job is I think a piece is cheapened by leaving the bottom unfinished.
Thank you. I like to do that because when someone comes to pick something up that they are buying from me, I want them to see that it is finished well. But I don't think it's really required to paint anywhere that the factory finish didn't do.
I'm the same , can't understand why people don't paint behind and under furniture, does my head in 😂. Luv your work, you give me great inspiration 😊. Hi from Ireland ☘️.
Ugh! I need to stop binge watching your videos because all it does is makes me want to paint! I have a ft job so painting isn't possible until evening after dinner and by then I've been up and busy since 530 am so the steam has worn. I love the green bench with the stripes! I have a bench sitting in my TO DO pile and I can't out it in Mt booth if it's got a pad or fabric so the striping really catches my eye! 💚💚💚💚
I have been watching you for sometime and I enjoy your show better than anyone I have seen. Thank you for your service. God Bless and keep on designing . You have inspired me to do some things here at home.
If you want to brighten the handles you can use bar keepers friend and it does wonders also paint on pulls you can boil in an old pot with baking soda and water to take the paint off.
1:23:51 to 1:29:28 - If that were me painting, I would have got paint on the floor, the oven, the cupboards, all the dogs, my face, my hair, jeans, top, shoes... pretty much everywhere. You: not a bit of it anywhere!! You rock 🙂xx 🇦🇺❤
Haha I get some here and there but it is easy to wipe off when wet. We have vinyl floors so paint won't stick to it anyway. Just scratch it right off if you get a drp
I love your music, who are the artists?. I lost my husband 4 years ago & these songs remind me of him so much. We worked together as you & your husband does. Thanks for sharing your team work & for these songs.
You have sold all those things, except your keepers. I am wondering about restore a finish. I have some but have not used much. In your experience with it, does it ever dry out and the scratches come back? You did alot of scuffing on that mahogany hutch. It looked beautiful after the restore a finish. All your flips have been great, and i have enjoyed them all. Loved the music too!
I dont actually know. I would think like any oiled wood finish it would need to continue to be oiled again over time but thr stain would remain so thr scratches wouldn't show up again as they were. It would maybe just look dry and in need of polish
I bought a beautiful 1 piece curtain panel to create a cover for a foam board topper for a milk carton display piece but I obviously have a lot of fabric left. Do you think I could use it for upholstery as well? It's a pretty heavy material
Hi I always love your makeovers. The volumn in this video is low. I have you turned all the way up and even muted my tv watching the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Great job on your pieces
Cory, you should be very proud. All your projects are beautiful. Too bad I’m so far away (NJ). I really some of those pieces for my craft room. Blessings 🙏👍👍👍👋👋👋👋👋❤️
What did you use on the black hutch? Paint and sealer? I ALWAYS have difficulty with painting things black. Currently I am painting with DIY paint and the brush strokes are rediculously deep. 😢
Amazing WORK... please list the products you use Tip to save pant try removing the factory sprayer on thespray can n replace it the nozel from a can of WD 40 AFTER CLEAING THE NOZEL YOU WILL HAVE BETTER CONTROL OVER WHERE THE PAINT IS DIRECTED.
Enjoy watching the transformation of the furniture you're working on and your music choices are so good. I'm wondering, how long does it take you to complete a project ,like on the hutch?
Usually it depends on the use of the item and what it's made of. If it's a wood that I know will have a lot of bleed through like mahogany then I'll use enamel paint or use shellac before regular paint. I like to always spray my hutches if I am in a time crunch because it goes faster. Enamel paints are best for things that will be used and abused a lot. It is the most durable paint out there.
Hey Corey (sp?) I absolutely love that you can look at something and see what it can be! I struggle with. This. Could I send you a photo of something and you could give me your opinion about which direction to go??? Thank you for considering. Thank you also for all the inspiration ❤
When you removed the doors from the china cabinet I was all like “ohhhhh nooooo” and then when it was completed and staged I almost hyperventilated. 😂 Spectacular! I will definitely be doing the same. ❤️
I personally love dixie belle paints the most and you can go on their website and see where to buy it locally or order online. If you can't afford their prices then get samples of laytex paint and turn it into chalk paint with the powder additive. I can't remember what it's called but you can Google how to turn laytex paint into chalk paint. And for the most durable paint I love spray enamel paints by rustoleum
So funny bc my mom passed 2 me that same ish table & chairs! Wish I had had the foresight 2 change the colors & enjoy them so much MORE instead of leaving original... Great inspiration here👍❣️👍
We live and we learn. It's ok!
I'd love watching your makeovers. I think it's so awesome you and your husband work so well together creating beautiful pieces
Thank you so much!
Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Good choice of fabric.
Beautifully done.
Great work! Much Appreciated. 😊
I love all your makeovers and styling, but most of all i love the music you play. You are truly amazing in all you do.
Thank you so much! I am so glad you like the music too! I spend a lot of time picking songs with no inappropriate things and happy feelings
That’s exactly why I came to the comments 🥰 how do I find that music
Cory, I am facinated, watching you lovingly restore this furniture. And your music is so relaxing. Great choices all around girl!
I love all your wisdom and advice. It's really helpful because what I like is often not what most people like. For example, I love red mahogany on certain pieces.

With your hubby going to school full time and he helping you is amazing! love all your projects.
Thank you so much!
Your furniture flips always look wonderful!! It was so nice to see a couple of blue pieces in the mix!!
Thank you Caroline. Blue is my fav
Love all the makeovers, my favorite is the green table with cream colored accents
Thank you!
We love y'all and I feel like we are friends for life ❤️
I love seeing you happy again and thank God for sending you Ryan.
And thank you Ryan for coming into Stephanie's life ❤️
I think you meant to comment this somewhere else

Thank you so much. I really appreciate you watching even though you had already seen some of them

Thank you so much!
The little break you took to welcome and rub the dog was so sweet! Oh yeah, your work on the table was excellent, as well, THANKS!
Thank you!
Everyone of your furniture flips are absolutely beautiful 😍, love them all ❤
Thank you so much Sally
Love love love all your color and fabric choices!!!! You have such an “eye”!,,❤
Loved everything about this video! So relaxing watching you two and your talents, and the great music was just icing! ❤
That makes me so happy to hear. Thank you!

You're right! I keep telling him but he doesn't listen lol. I just bought full face gas masks for us to use for painting. Hopefully he will use it!
Everything is so stylish! As Marilla in Anne of Green Gables would say😊
Thank you so much. Love the reference
I really enjoy watching your videos. The music you play is so relaxing. The furniture redos and music are a perfect match for coffee on a lazy Saturday morning. Thanks
Thank you Clare
Love your videos. Harding working hustling couple taking care of family and business. ❤
thank you! Yes indeed
What amazing transformations! You have such a great sense of decor!
Thank you so much!

That is totally OK! I love the story you shared. Furniture can have so much meaning. Sometimes isn't just some wood and screws. It can mean a lot
Would love to see more French country makeovers
Ooo you're going to love my video next sunday
Just an old woodworkers tip-sand with the grain of the wood not across the grain. You'll remove less wood which is important if the furniture piece has a veneer on it instead of being solid wood.
The 1st flip was such a transformation and I loved it

You and your Husband do BEAUTIFUL work

Beautiful ideas...I think I haven't done this is afraid I will ruin the piece ...but you just kept working it
The furniture is beautiful! I couldn’t find where you documented the music name and artist. I absolutely love the first 2 songs!!
Hi there! I get all of my music off of epidemicsound.com in the acoustic section
If you want to brighten the handles you can use bar keepers friend and it does wonders also paint on pulls you can boil in an old pot with baking soda and water to take the paint off.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this makeover 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉you really inspire me my friend!! Great job and great hubby❤❤❤
Thank you so much Joyce!
I loved watching new life brought to the desk and loved the black..
Just found your channel - we’re practically neighbors! I’m in Atascocita. I love the style of your flips!
How awesome. I love the big walmart in Atascocita
@@DesertDIY I love the big H-E-B in Kingwood!
Love Love this video ❤ the transformation to your projects were awesome

Great furniture flips & great music ❤❤
Thank you! 🤗
Oh yeah, that desk is beautiful. What a difference a paintbrush makes as opposed to a spray can.
I love your work..and your videos are so inspirational and relaxing to watch❤
Thank you Jen

FANTASTIC TRANSFORMATION
Thanks!!
What a great team.! Full time school with be a challenge but yall can do it!!!!
Great job on the table and chairs. Very nice and professional looking👍😃
I bought a beautiful 1 piece curtain panel to create a cover for a foam board topper for a milk carton display piece but I obviously have a lot of fabric left. Do you think I could use it for upholstery as well? It's a pretty heavy material
Curious, is shellac a better, possibly cheaper option , than a regular spray finish?
You are very talented
Thank you Carol
Love all the make overs.Gave some knowledge to make over my hutch!!!
First time watching! So, are you no longer living in the desert? Great job with this video! I am now a new subscriber!!
Hi Mary! So glad you are here! Welcome! Yes we moved to Houston for my husband to go to college. Who knows where we will end up when he is finished
You are always so inspirational!❤
I Love the Hutch Now!!!❤
Hi I always love your makeovers. The volumn in this video is low. I have you turned all the way up and even muted my tv watching the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Great job on your pieces
Thank you for letting me know. I did the voice over while my daughter was napping so I was probably talking more quietly and didn't realize it
🤣🤣 I remember those days. @@DesertDIY
Love your work!!!😊🎉❤
Thank you! 😊
Noticed you didn't fill in the hinge cut outs on the hutch, curious as to why
On the China hutch. How do you fix that area where the hinges were when you removed the doors???
I think cherry wood is beautiful, didn't care for whatever that color was on that China cabinet yall redone, but I love cherry wood!!
You are rare! I'm glad that people still enjoy the cherry colors because there is a lot being thrown away in that color
Loved all your makeovers!! ❤What was your husband using to sand the sofa table down? It had a hose connected to it?
That is a surfprep sander
That hutch is beautiful
How do we get access to the music? Loved the crown, gown, barefoot song in beginning!
I get all my music from epidemicsound.com in the acoustic section
Cory, you should be very proud. All your projects are beautiful. Too bad I’m so far away (NJ). I really some of those pieces for my craft room. Blessings 🙏👍👍👍👋👋👋👋👋❤️

Great tip! Thank you
I use the doors and apply IOD transfers to sell separately 🌺🌸☺️
Great idea
Love your music!
Do you seal every piece of furniture with some wax or polyurethane?? Just a beginner diy-er question 😅
If I use enamel paint then no. If I use any other type of paint that is water based then usually yes.
Enjoy watching the transformation of the furniture you're working on and your music choices are so good.
I'm wondering, how long does it take you to complete a project ,like on the hutch?
I loved this video! Great work❤

Love to watch your fantastic flips

Hey Corey (sp?) I absolutely love that you can look at something and see what it can be! I struggle with. This. Could I send you a photo of something and you could give me your opinion about which direction to go??? Thank you for considering. Thank you also for all the inspiration ❤
Absolutely. Send me an email
When you removed the doors from the china cabinet I was all like “ohhhhh nooooo” and then when it was completed and staged I almost hyperventilated. 😂 Spectacular! I will definitely be doing the same. ❤️
Right?! It's a big scary choice but sooooo worth it in the end
Loved everything 😊
I love your work, I would have left the dresser white , loved the pateena. I'm a chippy kinda gal though.
It is low when you was talking about your move to TX and your booth😉
Thank you for letting me know
Just a suggestion...paint the chair black like the desk top. I think that would look great.
What do you find is the best paint to use and where do you get it?
I personally love dixie belle paints the most and you can go on their website and see where to buy it locally or order online. If you can't afford their prices then get samples of laytex paint and turn it into chalk paint with the powder additive. I can't remember what it's called but you can Google how to turn laytex paint into chalk paint. And for the most durable paint I love spray enamel paints by rustoleum
Do you find it more cost efficient to use spray paint rather than buying a paint sprayer?
lol I got distracted by hubby’s gorgeous wedding ring🤭🤓
Haha he won't let me buy him a real nice one
Some good ideas but a few short cuts taken. Remember, two thin coats of paint are better than one thick one.
